On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

So long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me,

I will forgive you for what you have done, and I will not mind.

Were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky,

and then you asked for My forgiveness,

Were you to come to Me with sins nearly filling the earth,

I would come to you with forgiveness nearly filling it."
