0:20 The stages of calling people to Allah.

0:24 The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, conducted his call

0:28 in three stages.

0:31 The first:

0:33 The stage of dissemination and proclamation.

0:35 During this stage,

0:37 the Prophet, peace be upon him, called people

0:40 to monotheism and faith,

0:42 and to the worship of Allah alone, with no partner.

0:45 He called for the abandonment of idol worship,

0:48 explained the stories of the prophets and their nations,

0:51 mentioned the conditions of the Last Day,

0:54 and described Paradise and Hellfire.

0:56 He called to noble character

0:59 and virtuous deeds.

1:01 This stage began in Makkah

1:04 and continued until the Prophet, peace be upon him, passed away

1:08 in Madinah.

1:10 Then, his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, followed this path after him.

1:14 Allah the Almighty says:

1:16 "O Prophet,

1:20 indeed, We have sent you as a witness

1:27 and a bringer of good tidings and a warner,

1:32 “And as a summoner unto Allah by His permission, and as a lamp that giveth light.” (33:46)

1:36 and a lamp spreading light."

1:41 "And give good tidings to the believers"

1:44 “And announce unto the believers the good tidings that they will have great bounty from Allah.” (33:47)

1:48 "of a great bounty."

1:54 "And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites,"

1:59 “And incline not to the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Disregard their noxious talk, and put thy trust in Allah. Allah is sufficient as Trustee.” (33:48)

2:05 "and sufficient is Allah as a Disposer of affairs."

2:11 The second:

2:13 The stage of building and formation.

2:16 During this stage,

2:18 the Prophet, peace be upon him, took care

2:21 of those among the Companions who had embraced Islam,

2:23 nurturing them in the House of Al-Arqam in Makkah,

2:26 and purifying them through faith and noble character,

2:30 until they were prepared to work for the religion

2:34 and call others to it.

2:36 When their preparation was complete,

2:38 Allah permitted them to migrate to Madinah.

2:42 Allah the Almighty says:

2:45 "And the first forerunners

2:49 from the Muhajirun and the Ansar

2:54 and those who followed them..."

3:01 “And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph.” (9:100)

3:07 “And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. 3:14 "...beneath which rivers flow,

3:16 wherein they will abide forever.

3:22 That is the great attainment."

3:28 The third:

3:30 The stage of succession and empowerment.

3:33 This occurred when the Prophet, peace be upon him, migrated

3:38 with his Companions to Madinah.

3:40 In Madinah,

3:42 all the legal rulings were revealed,

3:45 once the faith of the Companions was perfected

3:48 and they were ready to comply with all of Allah’s commands in every situation.

3:53 When they possessed faith, piety, and righteous deeds,

3:58 Allah empowered them on the earth,

4:00 and the Islamic Caliphate was established in Madinah.

4:04 The religion spread,

4:06 and the Prophet, peace be upon him, sent

4:09 his envoys and commanders throughout the earth,

4:12 calling people to Allah

4:14 and ruling by Islam.

4:16 Then, Allah the Almighty took his soul.

4:20 Allah the Almighty says:

4:22 “Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants.” (24:55)

4:30 "...that He will surely grant them succession upon the earth..."

4:39 “Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants.” (24:55)

5:08 The effort of calling people to Allah is divided into two parts.

5:14 The first is the effort upon the self,

5:17 which is achieved by compelling the self to obey Allah,

5:20 and remaining steadfast in worship and obedience until death.

5:25 Allah the Almighty says:

5:27 “As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.” (29:69)

5:36 “As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.” (29:69)

5:44 The second is the effort upon others,

5:49 which is of three types:

5:52 First, effort upon the disbeliever, hoping they might be guided,

5:57 as He, the Exalted, said:

5:59 "Or do they say, 'He invented it'?"

6:03 “Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright.” (32:3)

6:10 "No warner had come to them before you,"

6:16 "that perhaps they might be guided."

6:19 Second, effort upon the sinner so they may become obedient,

6:26 upon the ignorant so they may become knowledgeable,

6:29 and upon the heedless so they may become mindful.

6:32 As He, the Exalted, said:

6:35 “And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful.” (3:104)

6:43 "They enjoin what is right"

6:47 "and forbid what is wrong,"

6:51 "and it is those who are the successful."

6:59 Third, effort upon the righteous so they may become reformers,

7:06 upon the scholar so they may become a teacher,

7:09 and upon the mindful so they may become a reminder.

7:12 The categories of those who call to Allah.

7:18 Those who undertake this call are of four types.

7:22 The first are those who undertake the call

7:26 because they were influenced by the character of those who call to Allah.

7:30 If they encounter a problem with one of the callers,

7:34 they abandon the call and the callers to Allah.

7:37 Allah has turned them away due to the deficiency of their intention.

7:41 The second are those who undertake the call

7:44 because they found in it the solution to their problems and the fulfillment of their desires.

7:49 When their circumstances improved and they gained worldly success,

7:53 they became preoccupied with that, away from calling to Allah.

7:56 Allah has turned them away because they entered the call with a deficient intention.

8:02 The third are those who undertake the call because it contains rewards and virtues.

8:08 They seek to accumulate rewards,

8:11 so their intention is only for themselves.

8:14 If they find rewards in something other than the call,

8:17 it is easier for them to abandon calling to Allah.

8:21 The fourth are those who undertake the call to Allah

8:26 because it is the command of Allah, which He has made obligatory upon every Muslim.

8:31 They perform worship because it is the command of Allah,

8:35 and they perform the call because it is the command of Allah.

8:38 Their intention is complete.

8:41 Because of their understanding and the perfection of their intention,

8:44 Allah makes them steadfast and aids them,

8:47 and devotes them to the guidance of humanity,

8:50 the implementation of Allah’s commands,

8:52 and the call to Allah.

8:54 They are in the most noble and highest of stations,

8:58 and they are the successors of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in his Ummah.

9:03 We ask Allah to make us and you among this category,

9:07 those who are the inheritors of the prophets, peace and blessings be upon them.

9:14 What have you offered for your religion?

9:18 If you were asked this question on the Day of Resurrection,

9:21 what would your answer be?

9:23 The best answer is to say,

9:26 "I called people to Him."

9:28 "I called people to the monotheism of the Lord of the worlds."

9:33 We all wish to serve this religion,

9:36 and the pinnacle of service

9:38 is bringing people into it.

9:40 These are but days, and you will depart,

9:43 and you will see those stations and the great bliss.

9:47 Rejoice in the love of Allah for you.

9:50 When do you want to start and board the ship of the call?

9:54 I am not asking if you want to start the call,

9:58 for that question is not worthy of you.

10:01 Rather, I ask: when?

10:03 Decide now and do not delay,

10:06 for goodness should not be delayed or postponed,

10:09 lest you lose it forever.

10:14 Procrastination is the destruction of ideas and projects.

10:17 Start gradually in your area

10:20 with awareness-raising and motivational lectures

10:24 about the virtue of calling to Allah.

10:26 You may benefit from the content of this book

10:29 and the PowerPoint presentation

10:31 in various youth centers,

10:34 especially with university students.

10:37 Select the elite from those who participated in the lectures

10:41 for courses on the arts of the call.

10:44 From time to time,

10:46 and through courses, lectures,

10:49 and recreational activities,

10:51 expand the volunteer team

10:53 and those collaborating in the call.

10:56 Distribute brochures and booklets

10:59 to non-Muslims,

11:01 engage with them,

11:03 and apply the skills of the call upon them.

11:06 Train them and follow up with the youth constantly,

11:09 give them tasks,

11:11 and provide moral and material incentives.

11:14 Organize recreational activities every month or two

11:19 to connect them to the call.

11:21 Reflect on the words of Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Sumait,

11:25 may Allah have mercy on him,

11:26 as he says:

11:28 "What makes me cry the most

11:30 is when I meet some of those who have entered Islam,

11:34 and they are weeping for their parents who died outside of Islam,

11:39 and they scream at us:

11:41 'Where were you, O Muslims?'"

11:44 "According to statistics, there die daily

11:48 more than one hundred thousand people outside the religion of Islam."

11:53 "Conveying the religion to these people is a trust upon our necks."

11:58 So what are you offering in the face of this great duty?

12:03 How many are waiting for us in the world

12:05 for us to bring to them the beauty and virtues of Islam,

12:09 so that they may turn, by the permission of Allah the Almighty, from our brothers in humanity

12:14 to our brothers in religion?

12:18 The sooner you initiate and hasten in the call, the more you will gain.

12:23 One shoe manufacturing company sent

12:27 representatives to a remote area

12:30 to study the possibility of marketing there.

12:34 The representatives arrived,

12:36 and they noticed that the village did not use shoes and did not know them.

12:42 At night, each of them sat down to write their report to the company.

12:47 The first wrote:

12:49 "The situation is hopeless,

12:51 for the people here do not know shoes,

12:54 therefore, I will leave."

12:57 And the second wrote:

12:59 "The situation is very promising,

13:01 for the people can be taught to wear shoes,

13:04 I have already laid out a plan.

13:06 Therefore, I shall remain.

13:08 Now that I have come to understand a part of your reality,

13:12 you must write your report.

13:15 So, will you depart, or will you stay?

13:21 In conclusion,

13:25 we ask the Almighty Lord

13:27 that we have succeeded in presenting useful material

13:31 that contributes to spreading the call to Allah,

13:34 and raising awareness among those who call to Him everywhere.

13:37 And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

13:41 May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad,

13:45 and upon all his family and companions.
