Honesty appears weak in the heart just as a palm tree appears to be a single branch. If a boy plucks it, its root is gone. If a goat eats it, its root is gone. It is watered and spreads, and watered and spreads until it has a deep root that can be planted, a shade to be used for shade, and fruit to be eaten from. Likewise, honesty appears weak in the heart, so its owner loses it, and God Almighty increases it, and its owner inspects it, so God increases it, until God makes him a blessing for himself, and his words are a medicine for sinners. Then he says, “Have you not seen them?” He returns to himself and says, “Yes, by God, we have seen them, Al-Hasan and Saeed bin Jubair, the man among them. God revives the good-natured people with his words.”

A servant may do good deeds that please him when he does them, and the evil deeds that God has created are more harmful to him than them. And the servant may do evil deeds that make him worse when he does them, and God Almighty has not created a good deed that is more beneficial to him than it. That is because when the servant does a good deed, he is arrogant in it and sees that he has superiority over others. Perhaps God Almighty will frustrate it and frustrate many deeds with it. And the servant may do evil deeds that will make him miserable, and perhaps God Almighty will cause him to become a sinner in it, but God Almighty will cause him to do evil. His stomach remains
