Zalloum was a tyrant, a malicious oppressor, a blood-sucking man, and he was of courage, courage, cunning, shrewd calculations, eloquence, and glorification of the Qur’an. This was attributed to his bad behavior in the history of Al-Kabir, his besieging of the Kaaba by Ibn al-Zubayr, his throwing of it with a catapult, his permission to the people of the Two Holy Mosques, then his rule over Iraq and the entire East for twenty years, and Ibn al-Ash’ath’s wars for him, and his delaying the prayers when God eradicated him, so he attributed his lineage, and we do not love him, but rather hate him for the sake of God, for that is from He has the strongest bonds of faith, and he has good deeds that are submerged in the sea of his sins, and his command is up to God, and he has monotheism in the whole, and counterparts from the darkness of the tyrants and princes.

▶ Ramadan events and lessons | Episode (14) | The martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him
Tomorrow I will give this banner to a man at whose hands God will grant victory. He loves God and His Messenger, and God and His Messenger love him. He said, so the people spent the night wondering which of them would give it. When the morning came, the people went to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, all of them hoping that he would be given it. So he said: Where? Ali bin Abi Talib, and it was said that he, Messenger of God, suffers from his eyes. He said, so they sent for him, and he was brought. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, spat in his eyes and prayed for him, and he saw it as if he had no ailment, so he gave him the standard. Then Ali said, O Messenger of God, I will fight them until they are like us. So he said: Follow your messengers until you descend on their front, then invite them to Islam and inform them of what they are obligated to do regarding God’s right to it. By God, for God to guide one man through you is better for you than to have one as your own. Red yes

I said, “We have explained to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he was only forbidden to lead them in prayer on the fourth night for fear that it would be obligatory for them. When God Almighty took him to His mercy, his obligations were fulfilled, so Omar, may God be pleased with him, was not afraid of that, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was afraid. He saw that gathering them on one reciter was optimal, so he gathered them, and what he did was not contrary to what had preceded in the Book, Sunnah, or consensus, so it was not a misguided innovation, but rather it was better innovations that had a basis in the Sunnah, which is what we mentioned about the Prophet’s prayer.
