On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

"No one gives charity from what is pure—

and Allah only accepts what is pure—

but that the Most Merciful takes it with His Right Hand,

even if it be a single date,

and it grows in the palm of the Most Merciful

until it becomes greater than a mountain,

just as one of you nurtures his young horse or his young camel."

That Allah the Exalted only accepts charity that is earned through pure means.
