Forty hadiths on the virtues of charity.
0:06
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
0:10
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
0:14
"The likeness of the miser and the charitable person
0:17
is like two men wearing cloaks of chainmail made of iron.
0:21
Whenever the charitable person resolves to give charity,
0:24
it expands over him until it conceals his footsteps,
0:28
but whenever the miser resolves to give charity,
0:31
it shrinks upon him,
0:33
his hands are clamped to his collarbones,
0:36
and every ring locks tightly against the next."
0:41
Abu Hurayrah said:
0:42
"And I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say:
0:47
'He then struggles to widen it, but he cannot.'"
