A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said:

"O Messenger of Allah,

which people are most beloved to Allah,

and which deeds are most beloved to Allah?"

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) replied:

"The most beloved of people to Allah the Exalted

is the one who is most beneficial to people.

And the most beloved of deeds to Allah the Exalted

is a joy you bring to a Muslim,

or a distress you relieve from him,

or a debt you pay off for him,

or hunger you drive away from him.

For me to walk with my brother to fulfill a need

is more beloved to me than to seclude myself in this mosque for a month,"

"Whoever restrains his anger, Allah will conceal his faults.
