The scholars said that joking that is forbidden is that which is excessive and is continued in it, as it causes laughter and hardness of the heart, and distracts from the remembrance of God Almighty, and the thought of religious matters, and often times leads to harm, creates grudges, and causes a loss of respect and dignity. As for what is safe from these matters, it is permissible, which the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to do.

Eleven women sat down, and we pledged and agreed not to conceal anything from their husbands. The first said, “My husband is the flesh of a camel, a rugged camel on the top of a rugged mountain, neither easy to rise nor fat to move.” The second said, “My husband, I will not spread news. I am afraid I will not forget. If I mention him, I will mention his lameness and his calf.” The third said, “My husband is the Ashnaq. If I speak, I will let go. If I remain silent, I will be stuck.” The fourth said, “My husband is like the night of Tihama. There is no heat, nor bitterness, nor fear, nor poison.” The fifth said, “My husband, if a leopard enters, and if a lion comes out, he will not ask about what he promised.” The sixth said, “My husband, if he eats, he will turn away, and if he drinks, he will turn away, and if he lies down, he will turn away, and do not put the hand in to know the spread.” The seventh said, “My husband is sick or gone, according to each other. Every disease has a sickness, a disease that is shajak, or vulgar, or plural of all of yours.” The eighth said, “My husband, touch the touch of a rabbit, and the wind is the smell of a grape.” The ninth said, “My husband is lofty, with tall pillars, with great ashes near the house to the club.” The tenth said, “My husband is the owner, and nothing is better for you than that. He has camels that are many blessed and few in size. If we hear the voice of Al-Mizhar, we will be certain that they are.” Here you are, eleven o'clock said, "My husband is a father of sow, and what is the father of sour. People of my ear ornaments and full of fat on my buttocks and my wounds, so I swung to myself. She said, ‘Abu Zur’ went out, and the woods were churning, and he found a woman with her two sons of hers, like two cheetahs, playing under her waist with two pomegranates.’ So he divorced me and married her, and I married a man after him.” Surya rode Sharia and took sin and bestowed upon me rich blessings and gave me a pair of every fragrance and said, “Eat or grow, and see my family.” If I gathered everything, he would give me as much as the smallest vessel of my father’s seed.

But he used to do it at the end of the night for fear that he would fall asleep

Perhaps his wisdom is to teach his nation this so that sleep does not weigh them down and they miss the morning prayer beyond its appointed time

Whoever reflects on his sleep and wakefulness, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, finds it to be the most equitable and most beneficial sleep for the body, organs, and strength. He used to sleep at the beginning of the night and wake up at the beginning of the second half, and he would get up and wash himself, perform ablution, and pray what God has decreed for him. He would take the body, organs, and strength, and their share of sleep and rest, and their share of exercise, with abundant reward, and this is the goal of the good of the heart and body, and this world and the hereafter. He would not take more sleep than the amount he needed from it, and he would not prevent himself from the amount he needed from it, and he would do it in the most perfect way, so he would sleep if He was called upon by need, and he placed his hand on his right side, remembering God until his eyes overwhelmed him. He was not full of food and drink, nor did he lie on his side on the ground, nor did he take a high mattress. Rather, he had a bed made of human beings stuffed with fiber. He would lie on the pillow and sometimes put his hand under his cheek.

I asked Aisha, may God be pleased with her, about the prayer of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, at night. She said: He used to sleep at the beginning of the night and then get up. If it was magic, he would perform the Witr prayer, then go to a butterfly. If he had a need, he would take care of his family. If he heard the call to prayer, he would jump up and pour water over him. Otherwise, he would perform ablution and go out to prayer.

He told that he had spent the night with Maimuna, who was his aunt. He said, “I felt pain on the width of the pillow, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, felt pain on its length, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, slept until midnight, or a little before it, or a little after it. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, woke up and began wiping the sleep from his face. Then he recited the last ten verses of Surat Al Imran, then he got up to a hanging ash and performed ablution from it, performing the ablution well. Then he stood up and prayed.” Abdullah Ibn Al-Khattab said. Abbas, so I stood beside him, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, placed his right hand on my head, then he took my right ear and twisted it. He prayed two rak’ahs, then two rak’ahs, then two rak’ahs, then two rak’ahs, then two rak’ahs. Ma’an said six times, then he prayed Witr, then he lay down until the muezzin came to him. He got up and prayed two light rak’ahs, then he went out and prayed the Fajr prayer.

The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to pray thirteen rak’ahs at night
As for Ibn Abbas, there is disagreement about him, in the two Sahihs on the authority of Abu Jamrah, on the authority of him, the prayer of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was thirteen rak’ahs, meaning at night, but this came from him, explaining it as two rak’ahs at dawn.
Thirteen rak'ahs, including eight, and the Witr prayer should be performed with three rak'ahs and two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer
If one of you gets up at night, he should begin his prayer with two light rak’ahs
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, would not exceed eleven rak’ahs in Ramadan or at any other time. He would pray four, do not ask about their beauty and length, then he would pray four, do not ask about their beauty or length, then he would pray three.

If people were to learn what is in reading the Qur’an through contemplation, they would be occupied with it instead of everything else. If he recited it with contemplation until he came across a verse that he needed to heal his heart, he would repeat it even a hundred times, even for a night. Reciting a verse with contemplation and understanding is better than reciting a verse without contemplation and understanding. It is more beneficial to the heart and leads to the attainment of faith and a taste of the sweetness of the Qur’an. This was the custom of the predecessors, one of them repeating the verse until the morning.
It was said to him: What did you care about? He said: I was about to sit down and pray to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
This is interpreted as being in his initial state before he entered the age, combining the two hadiths. The reward of a sitting man’s prayer is half that of a standing prayer, but the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is an exception to that, as his prayer sitting does not have a reward less than his prayer standing.
