Some people were confused about the fact that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions spent long days in hunger, given that it was proven that he used to raise food for a year for his family, and that he divided among four people the lives of a thousand camels from what God had given him, and that in his Umrah he drove a hundred camels and slaughtered them and fed the poor, and that he ordered a flock of sheep for the Bedouins, and other things, along with those who had money with him, such as Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, Talha, and others, despite them giving themselves and their money in his hands, and he ordered charity, so Abu came. Bakr gave all his money and Omar half of it, and he urged to equip the army of hardship, so Othman equipped them with a thousand camels and other things. The answer is that they were in a state rather than a state, not out of want and distress, but sometimes out of selflessness and sometimes out of hatred of being full and eating too much. The truth is that many of them were in a state of distress before the migration, when they were in Mecca, then when they migrated to Medina, most of them were like that, so the Ansar contributed to them with houses and gifts, so when the peer was opened for them and after that, they returned their gifts to them. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sometimes chose hardship and hunger despite the possibility of expansion and happiness in this world, and God knows best.
