While I was in Al-Hateem, and perhaps he said in the stone, lying down, when he came to me, he said, and I heard him say, so he split between this one and this one, so I said to Al-Jaroud, who was next to me, what he meant by it. He said, “From the gap, he cut it down to his hair, and he extracted my heart.” Then I was given a basin of gold, full of faith. So my heart was washed, then stuffed, then I was brought back. Then I was given an animal below the mule, and above the donkey, it was white. Then Al-Jaroud said to him, “He is the bright one, Abu Hamza.” Anas, may God be pleased with him, said, “Yes, he takes a step.” At its furthest end, the Buraq was saddled and bridled. When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wanted to ride it, he found it difficult for him. Gabriel, peace be upon him, said to him, “O my father Muhammad, do this. No one has ever ridden you. No one is more honorable to God than him, so refuse. Put a parchment.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “So I rode him until I came to Jerusalem, so I tied him with the ring with which the prophets are tied, and then I entered the mosque.”

▶ Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation | Episode (96) | Surat Al-Alaq
The predecessors differed according to the difference in the reports received. Some of them held that the Isra and Mi’raj occurred in one night in the wake of the body of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his soul after being sent. However, this is the view of the majority of hadith scholars, jurists, and theologians, and apparent authentic reports have been reported, and one should not deviate from that, since there is nothing in the mind that can refer to it so that it needs an interpretation.

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Musa bin Rashid Al-Azmi | H (61) | The Night Journey and Mi’raj took place in his body and soul, may God bless him and grant him peace
The majority of scholars are of the opinion that he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was captured with his body and soul awake, not in a dream, and it is not denied that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saw before that a dream and then saw him afterward being judged, because he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not see a vision except that it came like the break of dawn.

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Episode (59-60) | Al-Isra and Al-Miraj - Disagreement regarding determining the time of this journey
There have been many authentic hadiths that the nation agreed upon as authentic and accepted, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ascended to his Lord, that he passed through the seven heavens, and that he hesitated between Moses, peace be upon him, and God Almighty repeatedly regarding the matter of prayer and its lightening.

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Episode (59-60) | Al-Isra and Al-Miraj - Disagreement regarding determining the time of this journey
There was disagreement about the time of the ascension, so it was said that it was before the Resurrection, which is anomalous, unless it is taken to mean that it occurred at that time in a dream, and the majority held that it was after the Resurrection, then they disagreed, so it was said that it was a year before the Hijra. This was said by Ibn Saad and others, and it is confirmed by Nawawi, and Ibn Hazm exaggerated, so he reported the consensus regarding it, but it is rejected, for there is a lot of disagreement in that, more than ten opinions.

Has there ever come a day that was more difficult for you than the Day of Uhud? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said I have received from your people what I have received The worst thing I encountered from them was on the day of Aqaba When I presented myself to Ibn Abd Yalil Ibn Abd Kalal He did not answer me So I set off with a look of worry on my face I did not wake up until I was at the fox's horn So I raised my head Then I saw a cloud that shaded me So I looked and there was Gabriel He called me and said: God has heard what your people said to you, and they did not respond to you The King of the Mountains has sent you to command him to do whatever you wish about them Then the king of the mountains called me He greeted me and then said Oh Muhammad And he said Whatever you want If you want, I can apply the wood to them The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Rather, I hope that God will bring forth from their loins someone who will worship God alone He does not associate anything with Him

O King, we were a people of pre-Islamic times. We worshiped idols, ate dead meat, committed immoral acts, severed family ties, were abusive neighbors, and the strong among us ate the weak. We were like that until God sent to us a messenger from among us whose lineage, truthfulness, honesty, and chastity we knew. He called us to God to unite Him, worship Him, and remove the stones and idols that we and our fathers used to worship other than Him. He commanded us to speak truthfully, fulfill trusts, maintain ties of kinship, be good neighbors, and abstain from incest and bloodshed. He forbade us from sinning. Immoral acts, false speech, and consuming the property of an orphan, while he was in prison. He commanded us to worship God alone, not associating anything with Him. He commanded us to pray, to pay zakat, and to fast. So he enumerated for him the matters of Islam. So we believed him and believed in him and followed him in what he brought. We worshiped God alone and did not associate anything with him. We prohibited what he forbade us and made lawful what we made lawful. So our people attacked us and tortured us and tempted us from our religion to return us to the worship of idols and to make lawful what we had been. We seek permission from evil. When they oppressed us, oppressed us, treated us harshly, and prevented us from our religion, we went out to your country and chose you over everyone else. We desired your side and hoped that we would not be wronged by you, O King.
