In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:03
Muhammad is the Messenger of God
0:12
Summary of the Prophet’s biography
0:20
Quraysh's request to the Ayaan
0:25
Then the Quraysh started a new matter with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
0:32
It is the request for physical miracles
0:35
God Almighty said
0:37
And they said, “If only a sign had been sent down to him from his Lord.”
0:43
Say that God is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know
0:53
Al-Hafiz bin Kathir said
0:56
That is, He Almighty is able to do that
0:59
But His Almighty wisdom requires delaying that
1:03
Because if He sent it down according to what they asked for, and then they did not believe, they would have been quick to receive the punishment
1:10
As he did to the previous nations
1:12
As God Almighty said
1:14
Nothing prevented us from sending signs except that the ancients denied them
1:23
And We gave Thamud the she-camel with sight, but they wronged her
1:30
We do not send signs except in fear
1:37
God Almighty said
1:38
And they said, “We will not believe in you until you gush forth for us from the earth a spring.”
1:45
Or you will have a garden of palm trees and grapes, and rivers will burst forth through it
1:58
Or the sky will fall, as you foolishly claimed against us
2:04
Or come to God and the angels as a leader
2:10
Or you will have an ornate house, or you will ascend to heaven
2:18
We will not believe in your progress until you send down a book for us to read
2:26
Say, Glory be to my Lord, were you anything but a human messenger?
2:33
Nothing prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said:
2:42
Except that they said, “God has sent the good tidings of a messenger.”
2:48
Say, if there were angels on earth walking in peace
2:55
We would have sent down to them from heaven a king and a messenger
3:06
Then God Almighty said, responding to them
3:11
Say: God is sufficient as a witness between me and you
3:16
Indeed, He was All-Aware and All-Seeing of His servants
3:23
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said: God Almighty is the guide of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
3:30
To prove the truth of what he brought to them
3:35
He is a witness to me and to you, and He knows what I have brought to you
3:40
If I had lied to him, he would have taken more revenge on me
3:45
As God Almighty said
3:47
If you say some things about us, we will take an oath from him
3:55
Then we would have cut off both sides of it
4:00
And the Almighty said
4:02
Indeed, He was All-Aware and All-Seeing of His servants
4:06
That is, He is All-Knowing of those who deserve blessings, benevolence, and guidance
4:12
Who deserves misery, misguidance, and perversion
4:16
And the Almighty said
4:18
And they swore to God their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would believe in it
4:27
Say, “The signs are only with God.”
4:31
And what makes you feel that if it comes, they will not believe
4:39
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
4:41
God Almighty says something about the polytheists
4:45
They swore to God the best of their faith
4:49
That is, they swore a firm oath
4:51
Because a sign came to them
4:53
What a miracle and supernatural
4:56
To believe in it
4:57
That is, to believe it
5:00
Say, “The signs are only with God.”
5:03
That is, say, O Muhammad, to those who ask you for signs of obstinacy, disbelief, and obstinacy
5:11
Not as guidance or guidance
5:13
The reference of these verses is to God
5:17
If He wills, He will answer you, and if He wills, He will leave you
5:21
Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad
5:24
Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak with an authentic chain of narration
5:27
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said
5:31
The people of Mecca asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
5:35
To turn Safa into gold for them
5:38
And to move the mountains away from them so they can plant
5:41
So he was told
5:43
If you want, you can enjoy them
5:46
And if You wish, We may give them those they asked
5:49
If they disbelieve
5:50
They were destroyed just as they were destroyed before them
5:53
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
5:57
No, I take comfort in them
6:00
So God Almighty revealed this verse
6:04
And what prevented us from sending signs?
6:08
Except that the ancients denied it
6:13
And We gave Thamud the she-camel sighted
6:18
So they were wronged by it
6:20
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
6:22
This is why divine wisdom required it
6:25
And divine mercy
6:27
Do they not answer what they asked?
6:30
Because God knew they didn't believe that
6:34
The torment will befall them
6:36
And the Almighty said
6:38
And no sign of their Lord comes to them
6:43
Unless they turned away from it
6:47
They denied the truth when it came to them
6:52
Then there will come to them news of what they used to mock
7:00
Did they not see how many generations we destroyed before them?
7:05
We established them in the land unless We plotted against you
7:10
And We sent the heaven upon them rain
7:16
And We made rivers flow beneath them
7:20
So We destroyed them because of their sins
7:26
And We created after them another generation
7:32
Even if We sent down to you a book on paper
7:37
So they touched him with their hands
7:42
Those who disbelieved would say, “This is nothing but obvious magic.”
7:49
And they said, “If only an angel had been sent down upon him.”
7:53
If We had sent down a king, the matter would have been decided and then they would not have looked
8:01
If we had made him a king, we would have made him a man
8:05
And We will clothe them with what they wear
8:10
Apostles were mocked before you
8:14
So he punished those who mocked them for what they mocked
8:20
Say: Travel through the earth and then see what was the end of the deniers
8:29
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said
8:31
As for the verse
8:33
The polytheists said they were stubborn in their disbelief
8:37
And they said, “If only an angel had been sent down upon him.”
8:41
They mean a king that we watch and see
8:44
We witness and believe him
8:46
Otherwise, the kingdom would have descended upon him by revelation from God
8:51
God Almighty answered this
8:53
He explained the wisdom of not appointing the king in the manner they suggested
8:59
If he sent down a king as they suggested
9:02
They did not believe in him or believe him
9:05
They will hasten torment
9:07
The Almighty’s Sunnah also continued with the disbelievers in the verses of suggestion
9:12
If it comes to them and they do not believe
9:15
And he said
9:16
If We had sent down a king, the matter would have been decided and then they would not have looked
9:21
Then God Almighty explained
9:23
If he had sent down a king as they suggested
9:26
What happened to their intended purpose
9:29
Because if He sent it down in its form, they would not be able to receive it
9:34
Because humans are unable to address the king and interact with him
9:39
He was the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
9:42
He is the strongest of creation
9:44
If the king descends upon him, he will be distressed for that
9:48
The millstone took him
9:50
The sweat comes from it on the winter day
9:54
Even if he made him in the form of a man
9:56
They got confused
9:58
Is he a king or a man?
10:01
And he said
10:02
If we had made him a king, we would have made him a man
10:06
That is, in the form of a man
10:08
We would have confused them in this situation
10:11
What they wear
10:13
themselves then
10:15
They say if they see the king in the form of a human being
10:20
This is a human being, not a king
10:23
This is the meaning of the verse
