5:42 then we hear and obey.
5:44 But if it is something you are doing for our sake,
5:47 then we have no need for it.
5:49 For we and these people
5:53 were once upon polytheism and the worship of idols,
5:56 and they would not dare to eat a single fruit from it,
6:00 except as a guest or by purchase.
6:02 So now that Allah has honored us with Islam and guided us to it,
6:06 and granted us might through you and through it,
6:09 shall we give them our wealth?
6:11 By Allah, we will give them nothing but the sword
6:14 until Allah judges between us and them."
6:18 The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:
6:21 "Then it is as you say."
6:23 And the matter was not concluded.
6:25 Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said:
6:27 The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, approved of their opinion, may Allah be pleased with them,
