▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction
He made these stories the best stories because some stories are not devoid of goodness that comforts souls, and the stories of the Qur’an are better than the stories of others in terms of its good organization, the miraculous style, and the lessons and wisdom it contains. Every story in the Qur’an is the best of the stories in its section, and every story in the Qur’an is better than everything the storyteller tells in something other than the Qur’an, and what is meant is not the best stories of the Qur’an, so that the story of Joseph, peace be upon him, is better than the rest of the stories of the Qur’an, as indicated by his saying, “We have revealed to you this Qur’an and the B in it.” With what We have revealed to you due to causality related to imperfection, the stories contained in the Qur’an are better because they come from the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. It reveals what He knows is the best of benefit to the listeners in the most creative words and combinations, and thus nourishment for the mind and soul, joy for the soul, and taste are obtained from it, the likes of which human minds do not produce.

▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction
The Qur’an is neither history nor stories. Rather, it is guidance and admonition. It does not mention a story to explain the date of its occurrence, nor for the sake of thinking about it or understanding its details. Rather, it mentions what it mentions for the sake of a lesson, as God Almighty said: In their stories there was a lesson for those of understanding and an explanation of the ways of gathering together, just as He said: “Saws have passed away before you, so travel through the earth and see what was the end of the deniers.” He said the Sunnah of God, which has passed away among His servants, and other verses.

▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction
The incidents mentioned above are what are known, and God Almighty mentions of this and that whatever He wishes to mention for the sake of the lesson and the moral, so He suffices the story with the place of the lesson and the place of benefit, and does not present it in detail with its parts, which do not add to the lesson, but may distract from it.

▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction
The purpose of the stories of the Qur’an is to be a lesson and a consideration, not to narrate facts and to entertain people by narrating them and detailing them as an example to those with understanding. Therefore, the Noble Lord intends to point to the place of lesson and clarify it, and to the place of insight and explain it. These are the best paths: education through history and education about the conditions of the past. This lesson is taken by the wise person in knowing the consequences of his actions or the actions of others, so that he can correct the course of his life and advise others of his loved ones and companions.

▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction

▶ The story of Joseph, peace be upon him, with the wife of Al-Aziz | Episode (1) | Introduction

I found in some of what God revealed to his prophets that Satan has not suffered anything more severe for him than a rational believer, and that he suffers a hundred thousand ignorant people and mocks them until he mounts their necks so that they submit to him wherever he wants. And he suffers a rational believer and makes it difficult for him until he does not get anything from him.

Be creative and concise, for there is no piety except through action, and no action except through careful knowledge and following, and that is of no use except with sincerity to God, not so that it can be said that so-and-so has abandoned sins with the light of jurisprudence, since avoiding sins requires knowledge of them, and abandonment is out of fear of God, not to be praised for abandoning it. So whoever persists in this commandment has achieved success.
