"Whoever thinks that those in the mosque are not in a state of prayer,

"How swift these days are in consuming our lives,

and for smoothing the paths and ways for me to do so.

And to You belongs praise for the blessing of well-being,

for without it, I would not have been able to seek knowledge,

nor to act upon it, nor to spread it.

And to You belongs praise for blessing me with sincere brothers,

who correct me when I deviate,

and advise me when I err,

and rejoice in my joy when I succeed,

and assist me in spreading the knowledge which

You have gifted me through Your generosity, bounty, and grace.

And to You belongs praise for the blessing of free time,

for without it, I would not have found the time to

learn, act, teach, and write.

And to You belongs praise for turning away from me

the devils of mankind and jinn,

for without Your kindness in turning them away from me,

they would have harmed me and brought me down,

and distracted me from that which holds the welfare of my religion and my worldly life.

And to You belongs praise for enriching me,

and for expanding my provision,

through which my body is sustained,

for without it, I would have been occupied with securing my daily bread

and the bread of my children, away from the knowledge

through which my soul is sustained.

And to You belongs praise for helping me against my own self,

and for not leaving me to it,

for had You left me to it,

I would have been left to weakness, poverty, and incapacity.

For were it not for You, our Lord, we would not have been guided,

nor would we have given charity, nor would we have prayed.

Praise be to Allah, a praise that is abundant, good, and blessed,

as our Lord loves and is pleased with.

And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad,
