0:00 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:03 The life of the ancestor
0:06 Between words and action
0:09 By Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Tayyar
0:13 Our duty towards the righteous predecessors
0:18 We must pay attention to my words and the lives of the righteous predecessors and well-established scholars and highlight them
0:27 For the following
0:29 First, fulfill their duty and fulfill their rights upon us
0:34 We benefited from them and our situation was improved after God Almighty because of them
0:40 It is their right for us to show and spread their knowledge and exploits
0:45 We ask God Almighty to unite us with them in Paradise
0:50 Secondly
0:52 Taking care of their words and behavior, being attached to them and loving them
0:57 It brings the believer closer to them and makes him resemble them
1:02 As close as possible to the righteous predecessors
1:05 The believer is righteous and adheres to the Sunnah
1:09 He alienates and stays away from passion and innovation
1:13 There are few mistakes and errors
1:17 And from the letter of the one who deviated
1:19 Some people made many mistakes
1:22 He became closer by keeping them away from the guidance of their predecessors
1:25 And their lack of care about their behavior
1:28 If you wish to join the people, follow their path
1:32 It has become clearly visible to those who walk
1:36 This path must be taken
1:39 The imams of its people succeeded the council for their guidance and knowledge
1:44 Like Al-Shafi’i and Ahmad
1:46 Ishaq and Abu Ubaid
1:48 And whoever follows their path
1:51 Whoever claims to take this path is not their path
1:55 He fell into troubles and dangers
1:58 He took what was not permissible to take
2:01 Leaving what needs to be done
2:03 Third
2:06 To highlight their words and revive their effects
2:10 God repel many heresies and deviations
2:14 Suspicions and desires
2:16 There is only right or wrong
2:20 The weakness of truth is not the strength of falsehood
2:23 The truth is only strong by the strength of its people
2:27 The people of truth are the righteous predecessors, companions and followers
2:31 And whoever follows them with goodness
2:34 Those who adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah
2:37 Highlighting their influences, morals, beliefs and approaches
2:42 It calls for people to accept what they are
2:45 It corrects the path of those affiliated with Islam
2:48 And their darkness increases
2:50 This inevitably leads to their strength and the weakness of those who oppose them
2:56 Fourth
2:58 To highlight their words and revive their effects
3:01 It makes the Muslim distinguish between right and wrong
3:05 Who is affiliated with knowledge and advocacy
3:08 Whoever sees him violates the guidance of our righteous predecessors in behavior or morals
3:13 Or beliefs or method
3:16 His mistake or misguidance
3:18 Then the Muslim will have insight and guidance
3:22 He is safe from misguidance, deviation, and deception by those who stray from the path of truth
3:28 No matter how great his fame is
3:30 His style was good and his influence reached
3:33 Fifth
3:36 To make the guidance of the righteous predecessors and their understanding of the issues
3:40 Their interpretation of the legal texts is the ruling in the event of disagreement
3:44 And the decisive factor in conflict
3:47 When people disagree, especially those affiliated with knowledge, advocacy, and goodness
3:53 On issues related to faith, methodology, behavior and ethics
3:58 The guidance of our predecessors is the ruling
4:01 The one who does not refrain from seeking judgment except a deviant and misguided person
4:06 Perhaps each one cited a verse or hadith as evidence
4:10 The other opposes it with a verse or hadith
4:13 So we tell them
4:15 Let us look at the understanding of the Companions, the Successors, and their followers
4:19 Those for whom charity has been definitively proven
4:23 We enjoy the understanding of the well-established scholars who followed them
4:27 Those who have a truthful tongue in the nation
4:31 Our understanding cannot be better than theirs
4:35 Nor are our minds better than theirs
4:37 Nor are our sciences more established than theirs
4:41 If they agree on something
4:43 We must surrender to them
4:46 The nation does not unite on misguidance
