2:34 They hold that infallibility is established for the Messenger, peace be upon him.

3:13 And they are not a source for creed or legislation.

3:18 The righteous salaf condemn disputation in religion.
3:22 And they advocate for arguing in the best manner.
3:25 Following the words of Allah the Exalted:
3:28 “And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our Allah and your Allah is One, and unto Him we surrender.” (29:46)
3:33 Except for those who act unjustly among them.
3:37 Ninth:
3:38 The righteous salaf believe.
3:41 That every newly invented matter in the religion is an innovation.
3:44 And every innovation is misguidance.
3:46 And every misguidance is in the Fire.
3:49 In this, they follow the words of the Prophet, peace be upon him:
3:55 "The best hadith is the Book of Allah."
3:58 "And the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad."

4:24 "So give good tidings to My servants, who listen to speech and follow the best of it."
4:30 “Who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding.” (39:18)

4:37 Because of all this, they filled their lives with the best words and the most beautiful deeds.
4:43 It is therefore right for us to know their states and their biographies.
