1:01 And the Almighty said

1:04 And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were inflicting on you a terrible torment, killing your sons and sparing your women, and in that was a great trial from your Lord.

1:29 And God Almighty said

1:31 And when Moses said to his people, “Remember the blessings of God upon you.”

1:40 When He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who subjected you to terrible torment, and slaughtered your sons, and spared your women, and in that was a great trial from your Lord.

2:06 And God Almighty said

2:09 Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into sects. He weakened a group of them, slaughtered their sons and let their women live. Indeed, he was one of the corruptors.

2:40 And the Almighty said

2:43 When he brought them the truth from Us, they said: They killed the sons of those who believed with him and spared their women. And the plot of the unbelievers is nothing but error.

3:06 Meaning of bad torment

3:09 That is, Pharaoh tortured the women of the son of Israel with different types of torture

3:14 Including the first type

3:17 Keeping them alive to humiliate them

3:21 Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, may God have mercy on him, said

3:24 As for the interpretation of his saying, “The torment is bad,” it means that the torment is bad for them

3:31 Some of them said the most severe punishment

3:35 If that were the meaning, it would be said that the worst torment

3:40 If someone says to us, “What is that torment that they were inflicted on, that was afflicting them?”

3:48 It was said that it is what God Almighty described in His Book. He said

3:53 They slaughter your sons and spare your women

3:58 Ibn Taymiyyah, may God have mercy on him, said

4:01 This slaughter and shame is the worst torment

4:05 Muhammad Rashid Reda, may God have mercy on him, said

4:09 Since salvation can only be from injustice or evil

4:14 He explained what he saved them from by saying, “They will inflict upon you a terrible torment.”

4:19 That they may impose upon you and seek upon you something that will distress you and humiliate you in torment

4:40 Leading to the cutting off of your lineage and your extermination

4:44 And in that is a great trial from your Lord

4:48 Yes, and that includes torment

4:50 And in salvation from it

4:52 In each of them is a great trial and test for you from your Lord

4:57 As he said in another verse

4:59 We tested them with good deeds and evil deeds so that they might return

5:05 Al-Tahir bin Ashour, may God have mercy on him, said

5:08 And shyness is an effect

5:11 Indicates demand for life

5:13 That is, they remain alive or ask for their lives

5:18 He was mentioned here as a reminder of the misfortunes that befell them

5:23 This modesty of females was intended to be malicious

5:28 That is, they attack their honor

5:31 There is no way to begin with the answer by virtue of captivity and slavery

5:36 So his saying comes to pass, “And let your women be ashamed.”

5:40 A metaphor for a special shyness

5:43 Therefore, he included the reference in his saying

5:46 And in that is a great trial from your Lord

5:51 Even if what is meant by modesty is apparent

5:54 When he directed his compassion to that calamity

5:58 Al-Shanqeeti, may God have mercy on him, said

6:02 God Almighty said

6:04 And when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who were inflicting on you a terrible torment

6:10 They slaughter your sons and spare your women

6:15 The apparent meaning of this noble verse

6:19 It indicates that women are shy

6:22 Among the torments that Pharaoh inflicted on them

6:26 It was mentioned in another verse

6:28 Which indicates that females are a gift from God

6:32 To whomever gave them to him

6:34 It is what God Almighty says

6:36 He gives females to whomever He wishes, and He gives males to whomever He wishes

6:43 Some children remain like this

6:46 Better than all of them dying

6:48 As Al-Hudhayl said

6:50 I thanked my God after Urwa was saved

6:53 Harsh and some evil are lesser than others

6:57 And the answer to this

6:59 Even though females are a gift from God to the one who gave them to Him

7:04 They remain under the enemy's hand

7:07 He does whatever obscenity and shame he wants to them

7:10 He uses them for hard labor as a form of torture

7:15 Their death is a relief from this torment

7:18 The Arabs wished for the death of females

7:22 For fear of such

7:24 Abu Zahra, may God have mercy on him, said

7:27 And the Almighty said

7:29 And let your women live

7:31 To ask for the lives and survival of their women

7:35 There is no desire for the same revival

7:37 Rather, let them be slaves in their homes

7:40 And enjoy their beauty

7:43 It is an outrageous injustice known only to Pharaoh and others like him

7:48 We also saw one of them at this time

7:52 Keeping women alive

7:56 It is to torture and oppress men

7:59 It is one of the worst torments

8:02 Images of torture appear to us based on what the people of interpretation have mentioned

8:07 They are used while sleeping

8:10 And assaulting their honor

8:12 And conquer their men

8:15 The second type is killing their children

8:18 This is a kind of torment that is more severe than the first on a woman’s psyche

8:23 This is the child she carried in her womb for nine months

8:28 She endured the hardships of pregnancy and the pain of labor and childbirth

8:33 When I was happy with his birth

8:35 Pharaoh's soldiers come to kill him

8:39 What will be the psychological state of this bereaved mother?

8:43 How long will this pain and brokenness continue for the mother?

8:48 The third type

8:51 Anxiety and psychological disorder

8:54 This is a type of torment that women went through in the time of Moses, peace be upon him

9:00 It is anxiety and psychological disturbance every time she gets pregnant

9:05 She doesn't know

9:07 Will her baby be a boy and will he be killed?

9:10 A female mother will be left to be insulted and humiliated when she reaches puberty

9:15 This torment continues with her for nine months of anxiety, fear and turmoil

9:21 She doesn't know how to hide her pregnancy

9:24 She does not know how to protect her fetus

9:27 She does not know what the fate of this pregnancy will be

9:30 And how will the end be?

9:33 Have you seen such suffering that women go through today?
