0:07 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

0:13 And may peace and blessings be upon the most noble of prophets and messengers,

0:17 Our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.

0:22 To proceed:

0:23 Hajj is a significant concern for a woman,

0:27 Due to the many circumstances that may arise and affect her performance of the rituals,

0:32 Or her choice of the time to perform them.

0:35 From the issue of the mahram and his availability at the appropriate time,

0:39 To the issue of ritual purity and whether the timing aligns with the days of the rituals,

0:44 To pregnancy after marriage and its physical burden,

0:47 To young children whom she finds difficult to leave behind to perform the rituals,

0:52 And other such circumstances.

0:54 Then, once she performs Hajj,

0:56 Her psychological state may be affected by various factors,

1:00 Which leave their mark on her Hajj.

1:03 From the fear of the onset of her menstrual cycle before its expected time,

1:07 To the surprise of it arriving unexpectedly,

1:11 To the fatigue and exhaustion from performing the rituals,

1:14 To general physical weakness.

1:17 Until the days of Hajj conclude,

1:19 When she rejoices in having performed the rituals,

1:22 And yearns to repeat the experience,

1:25 As if she had never endured any hardship at all.

1:28 The most beautiful story a woman has experienced during Hajj

1:32 Is the story of our Mother ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her,

1:35 During the Farewell Pilgrimage.

1:37 Its beauty lies in the personalities and details of the story,

1:41 In the timing of the events,

1:43 And in the most refined interaction between spouses in life,

1:47 Our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,

1:50 With the person most beloved to him.

1:53 It lies in the solutions offered by the compassionate and merciful Prophet

1:57 To the difficulties faced by his wife, the truthful woman, daughter of the truthful man.

2:02 This beauty in the story is further crowned by

2:06 Other incidents that occurred to the Mothers of the Believers,

2:09 And to the female Companions who were honored to see the face of our noble Prophet,

2:14 And who accompanied him on the Farewell Pilgrimage.

2:17 In this story are lessons and morals

2:20 That beautify the life of every woman who adopts them,

2:24 And illuminates her path.

2:27 In this story is solace for every woman

2:31 Who experiences some of what our Mother ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, went through,

2:36 Or what some of the Mothers of the Believers went through.

2:39 It is a story that every woman preparing for Hajj needs,

2:44 To take as an example the righteous women,

2:47 And the noble role models,

2:49 Who were raised by the best of mentors,

2:53 Our noble Prophet, peace be upon him,

2:57 And lived in the best era of this Ummah, whose people are to be emulated.

3:02 Compiling the story and the methodology of writing it.

3:08 One of the beautiful aspects of the story of our Mother ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her,

3:12 Is that it has many scattered narrations,

3:16 Which makes it easier to understand the details of the story.

3:19 However, one must collect all these narrations

3:23 So that we can understand all aspects of the story.

3:26 This is the method of the scholars of hadith;

3:29 They collect all the narrations

3:32 So that the full picture of the matter is clear to them before deriving a ruling.

3:37 An example of this is what Al-Bukhari recorded in his Sahih in the Book of Hajj,

3:43 In the chapter: "If a woman menstruates after she has performed the circumambulation of the Ka'bah (ifadah)."

3:47 He said: Abu Al-Nu'man narrated to us,

3:50 Hammad narrated to us, from Ayyub, from ‘Ikrimah,

3:54 That the people of Madinah asked Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both,

3:58 About a woman who performed the circumambulation and then menstruated.

4:01 He told them: "She may depart."

4:04 They said: "We will not take your word and leave the word of Zayd."

4:08 He said: "When you arrive in Madinah, ask."

4:13 They arrived in Madinah and asked,

4:16 And among those they asked was Umm Sulaym,

4:19 Who mentioned the hadith of Safiyyah.

4:22 It was narrated by Khalid and Qatadah from ‘Ikrimah.

4:25 Ibn Hajar commented on this narration by saying:

4:29 "Al-Bukhari has greatly abbreviated the hadith of ‘Ikrimah,

4:33 And were it not for the extraction of these other chains of transmission, the intended meaning would not have been clear."

4:37 So praise be to Allah for what He has bestowed and favored us with.

4:42 Ibn Hajar says this statement

4:46 After he has collected the narrations of the hadith

4:48 That clarify many details of the incident that occurred

4:52 Between Ibn ‘Abbas and Zayd Ibn Thabit, may Allah be pleased with them both,

4:56 Regarding the issue of the farewell circumambulation for a menstruating woman.

5:00 Following this methodology, I have proceeded in writing this story.

5:05 I have divided the research into two parts:

5:08 The first, in which I mentioned the Hajj of ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her,

5:13 In the form of a story,

5:15 And I have indicated in the margin for each paragraph its source from the hadiths,

5:20 By mentioning the hadith number.

5:22 The second, in which I mentioned the hadiths related to the story,

5:27 Extracted in a detailed manner according to the narrators,

5:31 And according to the scholars of hadith who recorded them in their books,

5:36 And I have numbered them to facilitate reference within the story.

5:41 In this work, we will record only the first part of the book.

5:47 Whoever wishes for more should refer back to the book.

5:52 I ask Allah to accept this from me,

5:55 To place it in the scale of my good deeds,

5:58 And to benefit everyone who reads or hears it.

6:02 And our final prayer is that praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
