Then he had a meal with her, and when he finished, she said, “See the boy.” When Abu Talha came in the morning, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came and told him, and he said, “You will have a wedding tonight.” He said Yes, he said, O God, bless them, and she gave birth to a boy. Abu Talha said to me, “Keep him until you bring him to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.” So he brought him to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and I sent dates with him. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, took him and said, “Give him something.” They said, “Yes, dates.” So the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, took them and chewed them, then took some of his mouth and put them in the boy’s mouth and rubbed him with it, and he named him Abdullah.

They said, “We are for the Quraysh.” They said, “We are for the Quraysh.” They said, “We are for the Quraish.”

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Episode (105) | The Great Battle of Badr
The command indicates that they should receive it in whatever place they settled in, and God Almighty did not restrict the going out to a purpose, rather He stated its purpose as He generalized its principle. From where he went out to any exit, be it prayer, battle, Hajj, or anything else, he is commanded to receive the Sacred Mosque, he and the nation, and in whatever spot they are on earth, he and the nation are commanded to receive it. The two verses dealt with the conditions of the entire nation in the principle of their movement from where they left, and in its purpose to where they ended up, and in the event that they settled where they were, so this indicated the generality of the command to receive it. In the three situations from which the servant does not stop

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Episode (104) | Convert the Qibla
Al-Bari, come, repeated the command to head to the Sacred House in three verses because those who denounced changing the qiblah were three types of people, first the Jews because they do not believe in abrogation in the origin of their second doctrine, and the people of doubt and hypocrisy intensified their denial of it because it was the first to abrogate the third, and the infidels of Quraysh because they said that Muhammad regretted parting with our religion, so he would return to it just as he returned to our qiblah.

▶ Summary of the Prophet’s biography | Episode (103) | The second year of migration
This is what happened, even if it was a mistake, because fighting in the Sacred Month is grave in the eyes of God. However, what you are doing, O polytheists, in hindering from the path of God, disbelieving in it and in the Sacred Mosque, and expelling Muhammad and his companions, who are the people of the Sacred Mosque, is in fact greater in the eyes of God than fighting in the Sacred Month.

ابن كثير
