By God, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not perform Umrah on Aisha in Dhul-Hijjah except to put an end to the matter of the polytheists, for this neighborhood is from the Quraysh and those who professed their religion used to say, “If he becomes virtuous and innocent, he returns and enters Safar, then Umrah is permissible for whoever performs Umrah.” So they used to forbid Umrah until he leaves. ▶ The story of our mother Aisha, may God be pleased with her | Episode (12)
His saying, “barren” is shaved with the opening in them, then sukoon, and with shortening, without intention in the narration, and it is permissible in the language to make tanween, and Abu Ubaid corrected it because its meaning is a supplication for barrenness and shaving, as it is said to water and graze, and similar to the nouns with which it is claimed. The first is an adjective, not a supplication, then the meaning of “barren” is that God made her barren, that is, he wounded her, and it was said that he made her barren so that she would not give birth, and it was said that he made her people barren, and the meaning of “shaving” is shaving off her hair, which is a woman’s adornment, or she got pain in her throat, or It caused its people to suffer evil, meaning it destroyed them. Al-Qurtubi said that it is a word that the Jews say to a menstruating woman. This is the origin of these two words. Then the Arabs expanded their statement without intending their true meaning, as they said, “May God kill him, may his hands be touched,” and so on.
