Keeping the speech (2) is the effect of distance from God Almighty

0:00 In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

0:03 I do not know where this feeling comes from.

0:07 I do not know what its cause is.

0:09 I do not know its symptoms.

0:12 I do not know its remedy.

0:14 But pause for a moment and reflect.

0:18 As long as you are holding yourself to account,

0:21 then distance from Allah the Exalted,

0:23 and the feeling of that distance,

0:25 only arises from being away from the places of worship.

0:29 For whoever is infrequent in prayer,

0:32 and infrequent in prostration,

0:34 and whose sins are many,

0:36 and whose transgressions are grave,

0:38 will experience this feeling of distance.

0:41 The symptoms of this are:

0:43 a feeling of hardness in the heart,

0:46 a rebellion against complying with acts of obedience at their appointed times,

0:51 a weakness in the soul,

0:53 and a lethargy in one's longing for Allah the Exalted.

0:56 And at times,

0:58 an arrogance toward the Bestower, Glorified and Exalted is He.

1:02 These are all symptoms of distance.

1:05 As for the cure and the remedy,

1:07 they are sessions of obedience that the body requires,

1:11 doses of faith,

1:14 and injections of spiritual tonics,

1:16 to be administered to the dormant conscience,

1:19 making a person vigilant and eager to act in proximity to Allah the Almighty.

1:25 It makes them breathe the faith

1:28 of which they were deprived throughout the period of estrangement and distance between them and their Creator, the Exalted.

1:34 He is near to them in prostration,

1:38 and they see Him through the channels of connection throughout the day and night,

1:43 which the worshiper transmits via the device of prayer,

1:48 as well as through the ether waves

1:51 sent by the live broadcast from the tongue of the one who remembers Allah the Exalted,

1:56 through glorification, declaring His oneness, and magnifying Him,

2:00 and through seeking forgiveness, gratitude, and intimate supplication.

2:03 So, you who seek the proximity of Allah the Exalted,

2:06 and the proximity of His Messenger, peace be upon him,

2:09 be prostrate at His door, the Exalted,

2:12 connected to every network that links you to discourse and intimate supplication.

2:17 The network of prostration

2:19 is the closest connection network that links you to the outer stations leading to Allah the Exalted,

2:26 which cannot be reached

2:29 except through this network.

2:32 For it is narrated that Rabi'ah ibn Ka'b said:

2:35 "I used to spend the night with the Prophet, peace be upon him,

2:38 bringing him his water for ablution and his needs."

2:41 He said, "Ask of me."

2:45 I said, "I ask for your companionship in Paradise."

2:48 He said, "Is there anything else?"

2:51 I said, "That is it."

2:54 He said, "Then help me against your own self by performing many prostrations."

2:59 So why the distance, and why the abandonment?

3:02 Why this coldness?

3:04 When proximity to Him, the Exalted, is possible and attainable.

3:07 Between you and Allah the Exalted

3:10 is a prostration through which you enter a world of delight and absolute happiness,

3:16 and refined sensations.

3:19 The soul is renewed and returns to its Creator, Glorified and Exalted is He,

3:24 and connects with Him,

3:26 and its energy and resolve are renewed,

3:29 and its strength returns,

3:31 like a charger for an empty battery;

3:34 when it is connected to the charger,

3:36 its power is renewed once again.

3:39 Likewise, our souls

3:41 are in need of charging,

3:43 to return strong once again,

3:46 to resume their work once again.

3:49 So, you who find yourself distant from Allah the Exalted,

3:53 hold fast to prostration,

3:55 hold fast to prostration,

3:57 and you will find proximity to Allah the Exalted in its greatest form.
