The Musk of the Sermon.
0:24
By Sheikh Usama Bahr, may Allah preserve him.
0:27
Everyone who obeys the Lord dissolves into the sweetest of feelings.
0:34
This is a youth from Yemen.
0:37
Our Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has advised us:
0:42
To treat the youth with goodness.
0:44
In the Prophetic biography, it is recorded:
0:46
That a delegation from the people of Yemen asked the Prophet, peace be upon him,
0:50
About the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
0:52
The Prophet, peace be upon him, grew in his affection
0:55
For them.
0:56
He commanded Bilal to host them well.
0:59
They stayed for several days,
1:01
And the Messenger of Allah honored them.
1:03
Then he asked, "Is there anyone left among you?"
1:06
They replied, "Yes,
1:08
A young boy who is tending to the camels;
1:10
He is the youngest of us."
1:12
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
1:15
"Send him to me."
1:17
When they returned to their camp, they said to the boy,
1:20
"Go to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
1:24
And have your needs met by him,
1:26
For we have already had our needs met by him."
1:29
When the young boy came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
1:34
He said, "O Messenger of Allah,
1:36
I am a man from the tribe of Abda,
1:39
And you have fulfilled the needs of the people;
1:42
Please fulfill my need."
1:44
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, asked,
1:46
"And what is your need?"
1:48
He said,
1:49
"My need is not like the needs of my companions.
1:52
By Allah, O Messenger of Allah,
1:55
Nothing brought me from my land
1:57
Except that you ask Allah, the Almighty and Majestic,
2:00
To forgive me and have mercy on me,
2:02
And to place my wealth within my heart."
2:05
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
2:07
Turning his attention to the boy,
2:09
"O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him,
2:12
And place his wealth within his heart."
2:14
He then ordered for him the same as he had ordered for the men of his companions.
2:18
They departed, returning to their people.
2:21
Later, he returned a second time to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
2:26
During the season at Mina in the tenth year.
2:29
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, asked,
2:32
"What has become of the boy who came to me with you?"
2:35
They replied,
2:36
"We have never seen his like,
2:39
Nor have we heard of anyone more content with what Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has provided him.
2:43
If people were to divide the world among themselves,
2:46
He would not look toward them,
2:48
Nor would he turn his attention to them."
2:50
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
2:52
"I truly hope that he dies in a state of wholeness."
2:55
One of them asked, "O Messenger of Allah,
2:58
Does a man not die in a state of wholeness?"
3:01
The Prophet, peace be upon him, replied,
3:03
"His desires and concerns become scattered across the valleys of the world,
3:08
So his appointed time may overtake him in one of those valleys,
3:12
And Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will not care in which of its valleys he perishes."
3:17
They said,
3:19
"That boy lived in the best of states, the most ascetic in the world,
3:24
And the most content with what he was provided."
3:27
When the Prophet, peace be upon him, passed away,
3:30
And the people of Yemen apostatized from Islam,
3:33
This young man stood among his people,
3:35
Reminding them of Allah and Islam.
3:38
They returned to Islam,
3:40
And not a single one of them returned to apostasy.
3:43
How wondrous is the youth!
3:45
How much resolve and energy they possess.
3:48
For this young man, through the supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
3:52
Became a caller to Allah the Almighty,
3:55
A striver in the path of Da'wah.
3:57
Were it not for him, the people of Yemen would have remained in their apostasy.
4:01
So, O youth,
4:03
Let your resolve be in Da'wah,
4:05
And let your resolve be in contentment and asceticism.
4:08
You have in this youth of Yemen a lesson and an admonition.
4:20
Seek ever-greater closeness to the Most Merciful,
4:24
So that joy may embrace you.
4:28
Attach your soul to your Lord,
4:32
And fill the horizons with light.
4:36
For whoever obeys the Lord,
4:40
Dissolves into the sweetest of feelings.
4:45
There is darkness, then light,
4:49
And life thereafter.
4:53
If Allah wills a thing,
4:57
He says to it, 'Be,' and it is brought into being.
