0:00 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:15 Mawaddah Association is pleased
0:17 To be presented to you
0:19 Pictures from the lives of female companions
0:22 By Dr. Abdul Rahman Raafat Al-Basha
0:26 May God have mercy on him
0:28 Umm Salamah
0:31 May God be pleased with her
0:46 Umm Salamah
0:47 How do you know what Umm Salamah is?
0:50 As for her father, he was one of the distinguished masters of Makhzum
0:55 And Jawad is one of the few Jawad Arabs
0:59 He was even told
1:01 The passenger increased
1:03 Because the stirrups were not equipped
1:05 If you go to his homes
1:07 Or walked in his company
1:09 As for her husband, Abdullah bin Abdul Assad
1:12 One of the ten who converted to Islam
1:15 No one converted to Islam before him except Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq
1:19 A small group, not as many as the fingers of one hand
1:23 Her name is Hind
1:26 But she was called Umm Salamah
1:28 Then the nickname took over
1:30 Umm Salamah converted to Islam with her husband
1:33 She was also one of the first to convert to Islam
1:37 As soon as the news spread that Umm Salamah and her husband had converted to Islam
1:41 Until the Quraysh attacked and did not attack
1:44 And he made pouring on them one of her punishments
1:47 What shakes the deaf and solid
1:49 He did not weaken, did not become weak, or hesitated
1:53 The harm did not intensify against them
1:55 The Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave permission
1:59 His companions migrated to Abyssinia
2:01 He was at the forefront of immigrants
2:04 Umm Salamah and her husband went to exile
2:08 She left behind her lavish home in Mecca
2:12 Its lofty pride and ancient lineage
2:15 Deserving all of that from God
2:18 Independent, beside his illnesses
2:21 Despite the protection that Umm Salamah and her companions received from the Negus
2:27 May God see his face in heaven
2:29 The longing for Mecca was the landing site of revelation
2:33 Longing for the Messenger of God is the source of guidance
2:36 He cuts her liver and the liver of her husband, Freya
2:40 Then the news continued about the immigrants to the land of Abyssinia
2:44 That the number of Muslims in Mecca has increased
2:48 And that Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib converted to Islam
2:51 Omar bin Al-Khattab strengthened their support
2:54 He refrained from harming the Quraysh from their side
2:57 A group of them decided to return to Mecca
3:00 They are filled with longing and called by nostalgia
3:04 Umm Salamah and her husband were at the forefront of those returning
3:08 But the returnees soon discovered
3:11 The news they received was exaggerated
3:15 And the leap that Muslims took after Hamzah and Omar converted to Islam
3:20 It was met with a greater attack from the Quraish
3:23 The polytheists tried to torture and terrorize Muslims
3:27 And they made them taste of their punishment that they had never experienced before
3:32 Then the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave permission
3:37 His companions migrated to Medina
3:40 Umm Salamah and her husband decided that he would be the first to migrate
3:44 Fleeing their religion and getting rid of the taste of Quraysh
3:49 But the migration of Umm Salamah and her husband was not as easy as they imagined
3:55 But it was difficult at times
3:58 She left behind a tragedy without which every tragedy would be diminished
4:03 Let us leave the words to Umm Salamah to tell us the story of her tragedy
4:08 Her feeling for it is stronger and deeper
4:11 Her portrayal of her is more accurate and eloquent
4:14 Umm Salamah said when Abu Salamah decided to go out to Medina
4:19 Prepare a camel for me and then load me onto it
4:23 He placed our child Salamah in my lap
4:25 He went on to drive the camel without hesitating about anything
4:30 Before we separated from Mecca, men from my people, Banu Makhzum, saw us
4:35 They confronted us and told Abu Salamah
4:38 If you have defeated us, then what about this wife of yours?
4:43 She is our daughter, so why should we let you take her from us and take her around the country?
4:49 Then they jumped on him and snatched me away from him
4:53 As soon as the people of my husband bin Abdul-Assad saw them
4:56 They took me and my child until they became very angry
5:00 They said, “No, by God, we will not leave the child with your friend.”
5:05 After you snatched it from our friend
5:08 He is our son and we are more worthy of him
5:11 Then they started pulling Salama's two children between them in front of me
5:16 Until they took off his hand and took him away
5:19 In moments, I found myself torn apart and alone
5:25 So the husband headed to Medina to escape for his religion and his soul
5:29 A son was kidnapped by Ibn Abd al-Assad from my hands, broken and miserable
5:35 As for me, Qawmi bin Makhzum took control of me
5:40 And they made me there
5:42 He separated me from my husband and my son in an hour
5:46 From that day on, I went out every morning to Al-Abtah
5:53 So I sit in the place that witnessed my tragedy
5:56 I remember the moments when there was a barrier between me, my son, and my husband
6:03 I keep crying until night falls
6:07 I stayed like that for a year or close to a year
6:11 Until a man from my cousins passed by me, comforted me and had mercy on me
6:17 He said to my people, “Don’t you release this poor woman.”
6:21 You separated her from her husband and her child
6:25 And he continued to soften their hearts and turn away their kindness until they told me
6:32 Join your husband if you want
6:35 But how can I join my husband in the city?
6:39 I leave my son and my dear child in Mecca with Bani Abd al-Assad
6:44 How can my distress be calmed or my eyes can live through it?
6:49 I am in the immigration office
6:51 The little boy was born in Mecca, but I know nothing about him
6:55 Some people saw how I treated my sorrows and sorrows
7:00 Their hearts broke for me
7:02 Speak to Bani Abd al-Assad about my matter
7:05 They sought sympathy from me and they returned my son Salamah to me
7:09 I did not want to wait in Mecca until I found someone to travel with
7:14 I was afraid that something unexpected would happen
7:18 An obstacle prevents me from following my husband
7:21 So I took the initiative and prepared my camels
7:24 And I put my son on my lap
7:26 She left and headed toward the city
7:29 I want my husband
7:31 And no one of God’s creation is with me
7:34 As soon as I reached Tan'im, I met Uthman bin Talha
7:38 He said, “Where are you going, daughter of Zad the passenger?”
7:42 So I said I want my husband in the city
7:45 He said, "No one is with you."
7:48 I said no, by God
7:51 Except God, then build this
7:54 He said, “By God, I will never leave you.”
7:58 Then he took the reins of my camel
8:01 Yehobi set off
8:03 By God, I have never been with an Arab man
8:06 No more honorable than him
8:09 When he reached one of the houses, he would bury my camel
8:12 Then he will be late for me
8:14 Even if you get off his back
8:16 And I settled on the ground
8:18 He approached him and made a trip for him
8:20 He took him to a tree and tied him there
8:24 Then he steps away from me to another tree
8:27 He lies down in its shade
8:29 When the spirits come
8:31 He came to me
8:33 So I brought it back and presented it to me
8:35 Then he leaves behind me and says
8:37 Get on
8:39 If you ride and sit on the camel
8:42 He came, took his reins and led him
8:45 And he still does this every day
8:48 Until we reached the city
8:50 When he looked at the village of Buqba
8:52 Lubna Omar bin Awf
8:54 Your husband said in this village
8:57 Enter it with God's blessing
9:00 Then he left and returned to Mecca
9:03 The diaspora reunited
9:05 After a long separation
9:07 Umm Salama's eyes were pleased with her husband
9:10 Abu Salamah was happy with his companion and son
9:13 Then the events unfolded
9:15 It goes by quickly in the blink of an eye
9:18 This is Badr
9:20 Abu Salamah witnesses it and returns from it with the Muslims
9:24 They won a decisive victory
9:27 And this is one
9:29 It will be immersed in it after Badr
9:31 He performs the best and most generous trials therein
9:34 But he gets out of it
9:37 He was seriously injured
9:39 He is still treating him
9:41 Until it seemed to him that he had healed
9:44 But the wound was caused by corruption
9:47 He soon reclined
9:49 Abu Salamah was confined to bed
9:52 While Abu Salamah was being treated for his wound
9:55 He said to his wife
9:57 Oh Umm Salamah
9:59 I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
10:02 He says no misfortune befalls anyone
10:05 Then he comes back and says
10:08 Oh God, I counted this calamity with You
10:11 Oh God, give me something better than her
10:14 Unless God Almighty gave him
10:17 Abu Salamah remained on his sick bed for days
10:21 And one morning
10:23 The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to him
10:26 To return him
10:27 He had hardly finished his visit
10:30 It goes beyond the door of his house
10:32 Until Abu Salamah passed away
10:35 So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, closed his eyes
10:38 In his honorable hand are the eyes of his owner
10:41 He raised his eyes to the sky and said
10:45 Oh God, forgive Abu Salamah
10:48 And raise his rank among those close to him
10:51 And He left behind those who left behind
10:54 And forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds
10:58 And make room for him in his grave
11:00 And light for him in it
11:02 As for Umm Salamah
11:04 So she remembered what Abu Salamah had told her
11:07 On the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
11:10 And she said
11:11 Oh God, I seek refuge in You for this calamity
11:14 But she didn't want to say it
11:17 Oh God, give me a better place in it
11:20 Because she was wondering
11:23 It is impossible for him to be better than Abu Salamah
11:27 But she soon completed the prayer
11:30 Muslims were saddened by the loss of Umm Salamah
11:33 They had never been saddened by anyone's injury before
11:36 They called it after any of the Arabs
11:39 Because she had no family members in the city
11:43 Other than little boys like train fluff
11:46 Poetry of immigrants and Ansar
11:49 Together for the sake of Umm Salama upon them
11:52 She had hardly finished mourning Abu Salamah
11:55 Until Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq came forward
11:58 He proposes to her to himself
12:01 She refused to respond to his request
12:04 Then Omar bin Al-Khattab came forward
12:07 She returned it as she responded to its owner
12:10 Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came forward
12:14 She said to him
12:17 O Messenger of God, there are three defects in me
12:20 I am a very jealous woman
12:23 I am afraid that you will see something from me that will make you angry
12:26 So God will punish me with it
12:29 I am an old woman
12:32 I am a woman with children
12:35 He said, peace and blessings be upon him
12:39 I pray to God Almighty to take it away from you
12:42 As for what you mentioned about age
12:45 It happened to me like what happened to you
12:48 As for what you mentioned about the children
12:51 Your children are my children
12:54 Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, got married
12:57 From Umm Salamah
13:00 So God answered her prayer
13:03 And her successor is better than Abu Salamah
13:07 Hind Al-Makhzoumia did not remain a mother to Salama alone
13:10 Rather, she became a mother to all believers
13:13 May God bless Umm Salamah’s face in Paradise
13:16 He was satisfied with her and satisfied her
13:19 Umm Salamah
13:22 May God be pleased with her
