2:01 Then they began to enter the religion of God in droves

2:05 Then they turned to the Book of God

2:08 They began to get bored with the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

2:14 A fine story about what it was and what it became

2:18 He said

2:20 I and a group of my people fell into captivity into the hands of the Mujahideen

2:25 Then we soon became owned by a group of Muslims in Basra

2:31 It did not take long for us to believe in God

2:36 We are attached to memorizing the Book of God

2:39 Some of us paid taxes to our owners

2:43 Among us are those who serve them

2:46 I was one of those

2:49 We used to complete the Holy Qur’an once every night

2:54 This was difficult for us

2:56 So we made it complete once every two nights

3:00 It was hard for us too

3:02 So we made it complete every three times

3:05 It was difficult for us because of the effort we suffered during the day and staying up late at night

3:12 We met some of the companions of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him

3:16 We complained to them about what we were suffering from staying up late reading the Book of God

3:22 They said, “Conclude it once every Friday.”

3:26 So we took what they advised us to do

3:29 He made us read the Qur’an part of the night

3:33 And we sleep another side of it

3:36 It was not difficult for us after that

3:39 Rafi’ bin Mihran married a woman from Bani Tamim

3:45 This woman was a sober and sober lady

3:50 Full of piety and faith

3:53 He served her some of the day and rested during the other days

3:58 He mastered reading and writing in his spare time

4:02 During which he received some religious sciences

4:06 Without this depriving her of any of her rights over him

5:09 Then she looked at him and said

5:20 And when I finished praying

5:25 She also went on her way

6:26 So that it would not be between him and the Prophet

6:31 Except for one person, the Companion

6:34 So he took from Abdullah bin Masoud

6:37 And Ubi bin Kaab

6:39 And Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari

6:41 And Abu Hurairah

6:43 And Abdullah bin Abbas

6:45 And others and others

6:47 May God be pleased with them all

6:50 Abu Al-Alia was not limited to this

7:54 And the purity shines through

7:59 I greeted him and said

8:01 God loves those who repent

8:04 He loves those who are pure

8:06 He said, “My brother.”

8:08 Not the purists

8:10 Those who purify themselves with water from tuberculosis

8:13 Rather, they are the ones who purify themselves

8:16 By piety from sins

8:19 So I pondered what he said

8:21 I realized that he was right and wrong

8:24 And I said, may God reward you

8:27 He increased your knowledge and understanding

8:30 And I refuse to exhort the high

8:33 People seek knowledge

8:35 And he made ways for them

8:37 Access to it

8:39 And he said

8:41 Train yourselves to receive knowledge

8:44 They asked more about him

8:47 They knew that knowledge does not lower its wings

8:50 Ashamed or arrogant

8:52 The one who is shy is not asked for his modesty

8:55 The arrogant person does not ask because of his pride

9:00 He urged his students to learn and nurture the Qur’an

9:04 And adhere to what is stated in it

9:07 What the speakers say

9:10 And he says

9:11 Learn the Quran

9:13 If you learn it

9:15 Do not be raised by him

9:17 And you must follow the straight path

9:20 It is Islam

9:22 And beware of these whims

9:25 It creates enmity and hatred between you

9:29 And do not deviate from the way it was

9:32 The Companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

9:36 Before they disperse

9:38 They conveyed this to Al-Hasan Al-Basri

9:41 And he said

9:43 Abu Al-Aaliyah has advised you, by God, and he has told you the truth

9:47 He also used to draw for science students

9:50 The best way to memorize the Qur’an

9:53 And he says

9:54 Learn five verses of the Qur’an

9:57 Five verses

9:58 It is easier on your mind

10:01 And stronger than your understanding

10:04 Gabriel, peace be upon him

10:07 It was revealed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace

10:14 Abu Al-Alia was not only a teacher

10:21 Because he filled the minds of his students

10:24 With useful knowledge

10:26 He nourishes their hearts with good advice

10:30 The two things are often combined

10:34 From what he said to them

10:37 God has destroyed himself

10:40 Whoever believes in Him, He will guide him

10:43 The evidence for this is the Almighty’s saying

10:46 Whoever believes in God, He will guide his heart

10:50 And whoever trusts in Him, He is sufficient for him

10:53 The evidence for this is the saying of God Almighty

10:57 Whoever relies on God, He is sufficient for him

11:01 And whoever lent him a loan, he will be rewarded

11:04 And the evidence for that is His saying, the Mighty One who says it

11:08 Who is the one who lends God a good loan?

11:11 He multiplies it many times over

11:15 And whoever called him answered him

11:18 And the evidence for that is his saying, “His word is valid.”

11:22 And if My servants ask you about Me

11:25 For I am near and answer the call of the supplicant when he calls

11:30 And he was saying to his disciples

11:33 Work obediently and accept those who are obedient to obey them

11:38 They avoided disobedience and returned the disobedient to their disobedience

11:43 Then entrust the matter of the disobedient to God

11:46 If He wishes, He will punish them, and if He wishes, He will forgive them

11:51 And if you hear the man raise his status and say:

11:56 I love for the sake of God and I hate for the sake of God

12:00 It is better to please God

12:03 I turn away from such and such for fear of God

12:06 Do not abuse him

12:09 Abu Al-Aliyah was not only a working scholar

12:15 Not just a preacher or a guide

12:18 But he was also a mujahid

12:21 He spent some of his time in the fields of jihad with the mujahideen

12:27 Or stationed on the enemy's borders with the Al-Murabitun

12:31 He chose to shine in his jihad or set in the dark

12:36 He fought the Romans in the Levant

12:39 He also fought the Persians in Transoxiana

12:43 He was the first to raise the call to prayer in those lands

12:48 When the fighting broke out between Ali and Muawiyah, may God be pleased with them

12:53 Abu Al-Aliyah had a position about him that he told us about. He said:

12:58 When what happened between Ali and Muawiyah

13:02 I was full of vitality and activity

13:06 Fighting was more beloved to me than cold water on a hot day

13:11 So I prepared myself with a device and then came to them

13:15 Then I found myself in front of two rows whose sides were unknown

13:20 If these people grow up, those people grow up

13:24 And if these people cheer, those will cheer

13:28 So I came back to myself and said

13:31 Which of the two groups I consider to be an infidel, and I blame him

13:35 Whichever of them, I consider him a believer and I strive with him

13:39 Then she left them and went away

13:42 Abu Al-Alia remained sad throughout his life

13:50 Because he did not have the opportunity to meet the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him

13:56 He was trying to compensate for this by getting closer to the honorable companions

14:02 Those who have a close relationship with Muhammad, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

14:08 He favored them and loved them

14:11 They preferred him and favored him

14:14 One of the signs of this is that the servant of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, became forgetful

14:21 He gave him an apple that was in his hand

14:24 So he took it from him and started kissing it and saying

14:29 An apple touched by a hand that touched the hand of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

14:35 An apple touched by a hand was touched by the hand of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

14:43 It is also the case that he once entered upon Abdullah bin Abbas, and at that time he assumed the emirate of Basra from Ali bin Abi Talib.

14:56 Abdullah bin Abbas welcomed him most cordially, lifted him onto his bed and made him sit on his right

15:05 There was a group of Quraish masters in the council, so they winked at him and whispered among themselves

15:12 They said to each other: Did you see how Ibn Abbas lifted this slave onto his bed?

15:19 Ibn Abbas realized what they were whispering about, so he turned to them and said that knowledge increases the honor of the noble

15:29 He raises the status of his family among the people, and the Mamluks sit on the family

15:36 In the same year, Abu Al-Aliya decided to wage jihad for the sake of God, so he prepared his equipment for the matter and decided to proceed with the mujahideen.

15:50 When morning came, he was surprised by excruciating pain in one of my feet, and the pain continued to intensify hour after hour.

16:01 When the doctor visited him, he told him that he was infected with the disease. He said, “What is the disease?” He said, “A disease that destroys the organ that infects it.”

16:14 Then he moved on to what was above him until he came to the entire body. Then he asked his permission to hasten to amputate his leg, and he gave him permission despite his unwillingness.

16:26 The doctor brought his scalpels to cut the flesh and his saws to spread the bone, then he said to him: Do you want us to give you a dose of anesthetic so that you do not feel the pain of the incision and amputation?

16:41 He said, “Rather, there is something better than that.” The doctor said, “What is it?” He said, “Bring me a reader who has mastered the Book of God, and have him recite to me as many of its clear verses as possible.”

17:00 If you see me with my face red, my pupils dilated, and my gaze fixed on the sky, then do whatever you want with me, so carry out his command and amputate his bone.

17:13 When he woke up, the doctor said to him, “It is as if you did not feel the pain of incision and amputation.” He said, “I have been occupied with the coldness of God’s love and the sweetness of what I heard from the Book of God about the heat of saws.”

17:31 Then he took his foot in his hand and looked at it and said, “If I meet my Lord on the Day of Resurrection and he asks me, did I walk with you forty years ago in a state of ihram or touch you in an unlawful way?” I would say no, and I am telling the truth in what I say, God willing.

17:53 And after that, he who was pious with the highest level, was elevated to the Last Day, and was prepared to meet his Lord, had prepared for himself a shroud, and that he used to put on his shroud once every month, then return it to its place.

18:15 He made wills 17 times, and he was sound and sound. He used to set a deadline for each will, and when the deadline came, he looked into it and either amended it, or changed it, or put it forward.

18:34 In the month of Shawwal in the year 93 AH, Abu Al-Aliyah went to meet his Lord, pure in mind and pure in soul, trusting in the mercy of his Lord and longing to meet his Prophet.

18:52 There was no one more knowledgeable about the Qur’an after the Companions than Abu Al-Aliyah, then followed by Saeed bin Jubayr Abu Bakr bin Daw

19:28 Their remembrance is exalted

19:31 They left and threw a question in my mind

19:36 Is there a star like them in the sky and its hills?

19:41 They filled their lives with pride in their deeds, and the world of selfishness adorned them
