1:24 Their boy, Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays, was with them

1:32 Uthbah Ibn Ghazwan received a letter from the Commander of the Faithful, Omar Ibn Al-Khattab

1:38 He orders him to send ten of his righteous soldiers to him

1:43 They are the best in battle

1:46 To find out from them the conditions of the army

1:49 Let him be filled with their opinion and advice

1:53 Uthbah cracked up with the matter

1:55 He prepared ten of his elite men

1:58 Among them was Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays

2:01 He directed them to the city

2:04 Like the men of the delegation in the hands of the Commander of the Faithful

2:09 He welcomed them and attended their meetings

2:12 Then he asked them about their needs and the needs of the general public

2:17 So they got up to him one by one and said

2:20 As for the general public

2:23 You are their guardian and the owner of their affairs

2:26 As for us, we are talking about ourselves

2:31 Then each of them asked for the need that concerned him

2:35 Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays was the last man of the delegation to speak

2:40 Because he was the youngest among them

2:43 He thanked God and praised Him, then said

2:47 O Commander of the Faithful!

2:49 The Muslim soldiers who settled in Egypt

2:53 They descended into greenness, freshness, and fertility from the homes of the Pharaohs

2:59 And those who settled in the lands of the Levant

3:02 They descended into prosperity, fruits, and gardens from the homes of the Tsars

3:08 And those who settled in the lands of the Persians

3:11 They camped on the banks of fresh rivers and lush gardens, among the homes of the occupants

3:19 But the people who settled in Basra

3:22 They have landed in the land of this bright screen.

3:26 Its soil will not dry up, nor will its pasture grow.

3:30 One end of it is the Sea of Agag

3:33 And its other end, so it will not be cut off

3:37 So remove, O Commander of the Faithful, their harm

3:39 And revive their lives

3:42 Your command over Basra is to dig a river for them from which they can draw water

3:47 They water the livestock and crops

3:50 Their condition will improve and their children will be well

3:53 And their prices are cheaper

3:55 They seek help in jihad for the sake of God

4:00 Omar looked at him in admiration

4:02 He said to the men of the delegation

4:05 Did you not do this?

4:07 By God, he is a master

4:10 Then present them with their prizes

4:13 He presented the award to Al-Ahn

4:16 And he said

4:17 By God, O Commander of the Faithful

4:20 We did not cut off the deserts for you

4:22 Nor do we beat camel livers in the early morning and evening hours to meet you to obtain prizes

4:29 And I have no need of you

4:31 Except for the need of a people that I mentioned

4:35 If you fulfill it for them, you will have been sufficient and fulfilled

4:39 Omar became more impressed by him and said:

4:43 This boy is the master of the people of Basra

4:47 When the council adjourned

4:49 They are the men of the delegation to go to their camels to spend the night there

4:54 Omar looked at their bags

4:58 He saw the edge of a garment emerging from one of them

5:02 So he stood up and touched it with his hand and said

5:05 Who is this for?

5:07 Al-Ahnaf said

5:09 For me, O Commander of the Faithful

5:11 He realized he had taken advantage of him

5:14 Omar said to him

5:15 How much did you buy it?

5:17 Al-Ahnaf said

5:19 For eight dirhams

5:21 He did not know about himself that he had lied in his entire life other than that lie

5:27 That's because he bought it for twelve dirhams

5:31 Omar looked at him gently and said

5:35 Did you settle for one?

5:37 Malik's virtue was placed in a position to help a Muslim

5:42 Then he said

5:43 Take from your money what suits you

5:47 Put your curiosity in its proper place, make yourselves comfortable, and win

5:52 Al-Ahnaf turned down ashamed of him

5:55 He didn't say anything

5:59 The Commander of the Faithful authorized the men of the delegation to return to Basra

6:04 However, Al-Ahnaf was not allowed to relax with them

6:08 He kept him with him for a whole year

6:12 Omar realized his insight

6:15 The sharpness of intelligence that Tamimi possesses

6:19 And the clarity of the statement

6:21 Elevation of soul, height of determination, and richness of talents

6:25 He wanted to keep him close to him

6:28 To make it on his own

6:30 Let him meet the great Companions and be guided by their guidance

6:35 He learns the religion of God at their hands

6:38 Then he wanted to test it closely

6:43 And to penetrate his inner self before taking charge of some Muslim affairs

6:49 This is because Omar was extremely afraid of the intelligent, articulate contractors

6:56 If they are righteous, the world will be filled with goodness

7:00 They also became corrupt, and their intelligence was a disaster for people

7:05 When the year ended, Omar said to Al-Ahnaf

7:09 Oh Ahnaf

7:11 I have tested you and tested you

7:13 I saw nothing but good

7:16 I saw that you had good intentions

7:19 I hope that your disposition will be like your intention

7:23 Then he directed him to war with the Persians

7:26 He wrote to his leader, Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari

7:29 As for after

7:31 Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays is closer to you

7:33 Consult him and listen to him

7:38 Daw al-Ahnaf is under the banners of the bright Muslims who have set out in Persia

7:51 He and his people, Banu Tamim, did a great job fighting the enemy

7:59 Until God conquered the city of Tustar at their hands

8:05 Al-Hurmuzan was captured by them

8:08 Al-Hurmuzan was one of the most powerful Persian commanders

8:13 The strongest of their princes was wise and most determined

8:17 The most widespread of them is a plot in wars

8:20 The Muslim victories forced him to reconcile with them more than once

8:26 However, he betrayed them every chance he got

8:30 He thought he was capable of victory

8:33 When they closed in on him in cover

8:36 He fortified himself in one of its fortified towers and told them

8:41 I have a hundred of them

8:44 By God, you will not reach me as long as I have any of it in my hands

8:49 You know that I am an archer whose throw never misses

8:54 What's the point of taking me prisoner?

8:56 After a hundred of you were killed or wounded

9:01 They said: What do you want?

9:04 And he said

9:05 I want to discuss the ruling of your Caliph Omar

9:08 And let him do whatever he wants with me

9:11 They told you that

9:13 He threw his bow on the ground

9:16 He went down to them surrendering

9:18 So they tied him tightly

9:20 He was sent to the city with a delegation of heroes of the conquest

9:25 At their head was Anas bin Malik

9:28 Servant of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him

9:31 Al-Ahnaf bin Qais

9:33 Age school student

9:38 The delegation proceeded with Hormuzan towards the city

9:42 Let the Commander of the Faithful give good tidings of conquest

9:46 One-fifth of the spoils are transferred to the Muslim treasury

9:50 Let the one who breaks his covenants hand over his debts to the Caliph

9:55 To judge him wisely

9:57 When they reached the outskirts of the city

10:00 Prepare the Hormozan

10:02 To present it to Muslims in its form

10:06 They dressed him in clothes woven from precious brocade

10:13 They placed on his head a crown studded with pearls and jewels

10:32 And they looked at their captive

10:35 They are greatly amazed by his appearance and clothing

10:40 The delegation headed by Hormuzan to Omar's house

10:43 They did not find him

10:45 So they asked about him

10:46 So they were told

10:48 He went to the mosque to receive a delegation that came to him

10:53 So they went to the mosque

10:55 They did not see him there

10:57 The longer they searched for the caliph

11:01 People multiplied over them and the crowding became intense

11:05 While they were in this confusion

11:07 He saw them as little boys playing

11:10 And they said to them

11:12 What's your business?

11:13 See you going Aibin

11:16 Perhaps you want the Commander of the Faithful

11:19 They said yes we want it

11:22 And they said

11:23 He is sleeping on the starboard side of the mosque

11:27 Medium robe

11:29 He was Omar, may God be pleased with him

11:32 He went out to meet a delegation from the people of Kufa in his prince

11:37 When the delegation left

11:39 Take off the robe

11:40 And put it under his head

11:42 He left his eyelids to the eyelid

11:45 The delegation set out with Hormuzan to the right of the mosque

11:49 When they saw the Caliph sleeping, they sat down beside him

11:53 And they made their prisoner sit with them

11:56 Al-Hurmuzan did not understand any Arabic

12:00 What would have occurred to him was that this person was sleeping in the vicinity of the mosque

12:05 He is the Commander of the Faithful, Omar bin Al-Khattab

12:09 Indeed, he had heard about Omar's austerity

12:13 And his asceticism was abundant in the world and its adornments

12:17 But he wasn't just imagining it

12:21 That the conqueror of the Romans and the crusher of the oppressors sleep at the edge of the mosque

12:26 Without cover or ironing

12:29 No guards or veils

12:32 When he saw the people sitting silently

12:35 He thought they were preparing for prayer

12:37 They await the arrival of the Caliph

12:40 But Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays

12:43 He made signs for people to stop talking

12:46 And stop fussing

12:48 In order not to wake the Caliph

12:51 He knew who was with him

12:54 He rarely closes his eyelids at night

12:58 He is either standing in his niche, worshiping God

13:02 Or hidden in his clothes

13:04 He roams the city's neighborhoods to find out the conditions of his flock

13:09 Or Aas guards Muslim homes from raiders

13:13 Al-Ahnaf’s signals to the people caught Al-Hurmuzan’s attention

13:18 He turned to Al-Mughirah Ibn Shu'bah

13:21 He knew Persian

13:23 And he said

13:24 Who is this sleeper?

13:26 Al-Mughirah said to him

13:28 He is the Commander of the Faithful, Omar

13:31 Al-Hurmuzan opened his mouth in astonishment and said:

13:35 Omar

13:37 Where are his guards and veils?

13:39 Al-Mughirah said to him

13:41 He has no guard or guard

13:44 Al-Hurmuzan said

13:46 He should be a prophet

13:49 Al-Mughirah said

13:51 Rather, he does the same as the prophets

13:53 Because there is no prophet after Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace

13:58 Then the people increased and the commotion rose

14:02 Then Omar woke up

14:03 He sat up and looked at the people in astonishment

14:08 He saw the Persian prince

14:10 On his head was his crown, glowing under the rays of the sun

14:15 In his hand is his scepter, the radiance of which catches the eye

14:20 He stared at him and said

14:22 Hormuzan

14:24 Al-Ahnaf said to him

14:26 Yes, Commander of the Faithful

14:29 Omar looked at his gold and pearls

14:32 And rubies and silk

14:35 Then he turned his face away from him and said

14:38 I seek refuge in God from hell

14:40 And I seek help from him in this world

14:43 Praise be to God who humiliated this man and brought him to Islam

14:48 Then he said

14:50 O Muslims!

14:52 Hold on to this religion

14:54 And be guided by the guidance of your noble Prophet

14:57 And do not let the world deprive you of it

15:00 She is a stranger

15:02 When he finished speaking

15:04 Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays gave him good news of conquest

15:07 And tell him what spoils God has bestowed upon the Muslims

15:12 And he told him

15:14 O Commander of the Faithful!

15:16 Al-Hurmuzan has captured us

15:19 He asked for your ruling on it to be revealed

15:22 Talk to him if you want

15:24 And he said

15:25 I will not speak to him until you remove the appearance of arrogance and evil on him

15:31 So they took off his jewelry and crown

15:34 They took his scepter from him

15:36 They dressed him in a thick dress that covered his body

15:40 Then Omar turned to him and said

15:44 Hey, Hormuzan

15:46 How did you find the scourge of treachery?

15:48 And the consequence of God's command

15:51 Al-Hurmuzan bowed down in humiliation and then said:

15:54 Oh Omar

15:56 We were in pre-Islamic times, we and you

16:00 God was neither with us nor with you

16:03 So we defeated you

16:05 When you converted to Islam, God was with you

16:08 You defeated us

16:10 Omar said to him

16:11 You have defeated us for what you mentioned

16:15 And for another thing

16:16 It is your meeting and our separation

16:19 Then he looked at him sternly and said

16:22 What is your excuse for criticizing time after time, Hormuzan?

16:28 Al-Hurmuzan said

16:30 I'm afraid you'll kill me

16:32 Omar said

16:33 It's okay for you to tell me

16:37 When Al-Hurmuzan heard that from Omar

16:40 He calmed down a bit

16:42 And he said

16:44 I am thirsty

16:46 Omar ordered them to give him water

16:48 He brought him water in a thick cup

16:51 He looked at him and said

16:53 If I were thirsty, I would not be able to drink from such a vessel

16:59 So Omar ordered

17:00 So water was brought to him in a vessel that he pleased

17:04 When he took it in his hand

17:06 It made his hand tremble

17:08 Omar said to him

17:10 What's wrong with you?

17:11 And he said

17:13 I am afraid that I will be killed while drinking this dose of water

17:18 Omar said to him

17:20 It's okay for you to drink it

17:23 It was not from Hormuzan

17:25 Except that the pot was enough

17:27 And the foot of the water

17:29 Omar said

17:30 They brought him other water

17:33 Do not combine death and thirst against him

17:36 Al-Hurmuzan said

17:38 I don't need water

17:40 But I wanted to protect myself from being killed by him

17:45 Omar said to him

17:47 I am your killer

17:49 Al-Hurmuzan said

17:51 You have secured me

17:53 Omar said

17:54 I lied

17:55 Anas bin Malik said:

17:57 Believe, O Commander of the Faithful

18:00 She secured him

18:02 Omar said

18:03 Woe to you, Anas

18:05 I believe the killer of your brother, Al-Baraa bin Malik

18:08 And Mujaat bin Thawr

18:10 No way!

18:12 Anas said

18:13 I told him

18:15 It's okay for you to tell me

18:18 And I told him

18:19 It's okay for you to drink water

18:23 Al-Ahnaf supported Anas’ statement

18:25 Those present acknowledged that the Commander of the Faithful had secured Al-Hurmuzan

18:30 Omar looked at Al-Hurmuzan angrily and said:

18:34 You cheated on me

18:36 By God, I will not be deceived except by a Muslim

18:40 Al-Hurmuzan converted to Islam

18:42 He was assigned an age of two thousand

18:46 Omar was worried about him

18:49 Frequent opportunities to break their covenants with Muslims

18:52 And their coup against them

18:54 He gathered the men of the delegation that came with Al-Hurmuzan and told them

18:59 Do Muslims harm and mistreat the people of Dhimmah?

19:04 And they attack them

19:06 The men of the delegation said

19:08 By God, O Commander of the Faithful

19:10 We don't know that anyone mistreated them

19:14 Or guard their duty

19:16 Or cheat them into a contract

19:18 Omar said

19:20 Why do they turn against you whenever they get the opportunity?

19:24 Despite the contracts between you and them

19:28 The delegation responded with words that did not convince Omar

19:32 And he had no rest

19:34 Then Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qays stood up and said

19:37 I am telling you what you asked about, O Commander of the Faithful

19:42 And he said

19:43 Bring what you have

19:45 And he said

19:46 You are, O Commander of the Faithful

19:48 You have forbidden us from wandering into the land of opportunities

19:52 She ordered us to limit ourselves to what we have of their lands and cities

19:57 The opportunity is as long as they have a living king and an existing king

20:02 They will fight us with balls and balls

20:05 To recover what is in our hands from their people and their homes

20:09 And those who have promised us will join them whenever the preacher calls him

20:14 He had a chance to win

20:16 And he, O Commander of the Faithful

20:19 No two kings meet in one land

20:23 One must take the other out

20:26 If you give us permission to travel to their country

20:29 Until we destroy their kingdom and remove their kingdom

20:33 Let us cut off their hope and calm their resolve

20:37 And the matter settled for us

20:39 Omar paused for a moment and then said

20:42 Al-Ahnaf believed me

20:45 He revealed to me what I had missed about the people's affairs

20:51 And after

20:52 Al-Ahnaf’s position had its consequences

20:56 It was the effect of this opinion

20:58 That changed the course of history

21:04 This boy, by God, is the master

21:09 He is the master of the people of Basra

21:13 Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him

21:27 They were here watering the clouds of our lives

21:32 We cannot mention them with exaltation

21:37 They left and cast a question in my conscience

21:42 Is there a star like them in the sky and its hills?

21:48 They filled their lives with pride in their foxes

21:52 And the world of the ego has become apparent to them
