Thus, the intellect is one of the greatest blessings of Allah upon His servants.

And the harmful from the beneficial.

Through it, nations rise,

And through it, the lives of people are organized.

Yet there is, O servants of Allah,

A real war,

Intended to destroy societies,

Plunder their resources,

And ruin human life,

So that his intellect is destroyed,

His unity is shattered,

His wealth is stolen,

And he lives a prisoner of problems.

He learns no beneficial knowledge,

Nor does he perform any righteous deed,

That would benefit himself and his community.

The enemies have unleashed upon the Ummah,

One of the greatest scourges of the age.

How many homes it has destroyed,

How many minds it has ruined,

How much wealth it has wasted,

How many futures it has squandered,

And how many mothers and fathers it has made to weep.

A scourge,

Against which scholars, officials,

Parents, and educators have warned so often.

It is the scourge of narcotics.

Allah the Almighty commanded us to avoid its path,

For He, Majestic is His Majesty, said:

O you who have believed,

Indeed, intoxicants, gambling,

Sacrificing on stone alters, and divining arrows

Are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid them,

That you may succeed.

Satan only intends,

“Satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done?” (5:91)

Through intoxicants and gambling,

Therefore, all nations have agreed,

Upon its danger,

To individuals and societies,

And they have agreed to fight and combat it,

Regardless of its types and names.

Among the most dangerous of them,

Is the substance known as "Shabu" (crystal meth),

With devastating consequences.

It destroys the intellect,

Damages the nerves,

And causes other such dangers.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, says:

"The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Resurrection,

About his life, how he spent it,

About his knowledge, what he did with it,

About his wealth, from where he earned it,

And in what he spent it,

And about his body, in what he wore it out."

To care for their children,

A righteous upbringing,

And to educate them,

About the danger of those poisons,

And to stand between them,

And that which corrupts their morals,

And to warn them,

To warn them against evil companions.

Look at how,

Luqman the Wise,

Planted faith,

In the heart of his son,

Taught him obedience,

Warned him against disobedience,

And enlivened in him the consciousness of Allah's watchfulness:

"O my son,

Indeed,

If it should be the weight of a mustard seed

And should be within a rock

Or anywhere in the heavens

Or in the earth,

Allah will bring it forth.

Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted."

Of the crimes of these addicts,

Against their community, their relatives,

And he imagines,

That they are his enemies.

So he pulls a knife from his pocket,

While his young daughter,
