There are indeed reasons.

Which our Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, has established.

Through which the Muslim may attain.

The love of Allah, the Majestic and Exalted.

Among them, O noble ones.

Is that we follow the Messenger of Allah.

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, said:

“Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (3:31)

Follow me.

Allah will love you.

And forgive you your sins.

So whoever loves Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

There is a clear sign for that.

Which is to follow the master of the first and the last.

Is that the Muslim performs voluntary acts of worship.

To draw near to Me with voluntary acts.

I become his hearing with which he hears.

And if he asks Me, I will surely give him.

And I do not hesitate about anything I do.

As I hesitate about taking the soul of My believing servant.

He dislikes death.

And I dislike causing him distress.

So draw near, O servant of Allah.

Through the Sunnah.

And increase in that.

Through one of the Sunnah acts.

Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, will love you.

Maintain the Duha prayer.

Maintain the regular Sunnah prayers.

And other such forms.

Of righteousness, goodness, and benevolence.

From the reasons that bring about the love of Allah.

Is piety, O servants of Allah.

Indeed, Allah loves the righteous.

And it came in Sahih Muslim.

So piety is among the reasons for Allah’s love.

Is to place between ourselves and the punishment of Allah a barrier.

By performing His obedience and abandoning His disobedience.

Yes, the soul that inclines to evil.

And the devil and desires.

May overpower a person.

And his resolve may weaken.

So he commits an act of disobedience to Allah.

But he strives against his soul not to fall into sin.

He hastens to repent.

Because Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says.

“They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. Truly Allah loveth those who turn unto Him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness.” (2:222)

Indeed, Allah loves those who are repentant.

And He loves those who are constantly repentant.

And replaces their bad deeds with good ones.

This is part of the kindness of Allah, glory be to Him.

And do righteous deeds;

“Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (25:70)

Is excellence (ihsan).

Exists between the servant and their Lord,

By performing deeds with sincerity for Allah,

As if they see Him.

For if they do not see Him,

Then know, O servant of Allah,

That He sees you,

And knows your secrets and your private whispers,

And nothing of your affairs is hidden from Him,

Whether you are,

In a dark room,

Or a closed one,

Or on a journey,

Or in any place.

For Allah, glory be to Him,

Knows the treachery of the eyes,

And what the hearts conceal.

And excellence, O servants of Allah,

Also exists,
11:41
It exists toward the servants [of Allah],

By fulfilling their needs,

And by relieving their distress.

Indeed, excellence, O servants of Allah,

Also exists,

Even with animals.

This is one of the causes of Allah’s mercy,

And one of the causes of His forgiveness.

Do you not see that,

Sinful woman,

Who gave water to a dog,

So Allah appreciated her deed,

And forgave her for this act,

Because she showed excellence,

Seeking what is with Allah.

So if a Muslim achieves,

Allah will love them.

And whoever Allah loves,

Has attained happiness and salvation,

In this world and the Hereafter.

And the love of those who love You,

And the love of every deed that brings us closer,

From sins and offenses,

And purifies their heart from arrogance,

And vanity,

And hatred and envy,

And all other diseases and ailments.

And they purify themselves,

Through washing and ablution,

And by being clean.

For Allah, glory be to Him,

Loves those who are characterized,

By these qualities.

And among the causes of Allah’s love also,

Is that you love for the sake of Allah.

A man visited,

A brother of his in a village,

So Allah sent upon,

His path an angel.

And he said to him,

"Do you have a need you seek?"

Meaning, do you want him,

For some worldly purpose,

Or do you want him for a need,

Of the needs of this world?

He said, "No,

Except that I loved him for the sake of Allah."

He said, "I am a messenger of Allah to you,

Not for purposes or for worldly gain.
