0:49 Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.

0:54 and Surah Al-Fajr.

0:55 I have three points to make regarding it. The first point concerns the placement of the Surah.

1:00 It is like a proof for what is at the end of Al-Ghashiyah.

1:04 At the end of Al-Ghashiyah: "Indeed, to Us is their return. Then indeed, upon Us is their account."

1:12 "Indeed, to Us is their return. Then indeed, upon Us is their account."

1:17 How will Allah hold them accountable? He will hold them accountable, for He is the All-Knowing of all things.

1:23 And He is watching them, and they are in the world in ambush.

1:26 So Surah Al-Fajr came, most of whose verses revolve around or relate to this reality:

1:32 "Indeed, our Lord is in ambush." It came as proof of the reckoning.

1:38 The proof of the reckoning is that He watches us in this world, and He is the Wise, may He be exalted.

1:44 For there is no ambush except that the matter will lead to reckoning.

1:50 Then, from the beginning of the Surah, "By the dawn and the ten nights,"

1:54 it confirms that the Lord is in ambush, may He be exalted.

1:58 This is very apparent in the first and second sections.

2:03 The first, with its oaths by cosmic events: the dawn and the ten nights,

2:12 and the even and the odd, are cosmic events and phenomena.

2:17 They indicate that He, may He be exalted, is in ambush.

2:23 Along with historical events: "Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Ad? — [with the city of] Iram of the pillars,"

2:29 which also indicates that the Lord is in ambush.

2:34 Then the second section came, clarifying that Allah is in ambush, and man is heedless of that.

2:38 “As for man, whenever his Lord trieth him by honouring him, and is gracious unto him, he saith: My Lord honoureth me.” (89:15)

2:44 As for the third section, it is the hidden part, and it is what I wish to make my second point about.

2:49 The second point is about the placement of the third section of the Surah.

2:53 The first and second sections confirm that your Lord is indeed watching.

2:58 And they explain the state of man when this reality is absent from him.

3:02 As for man, when his Lord tests him and honors him and favors him, the verses continue.

3:06 The third section, however, speaks about the Day of Resurrection.

3:09 And in it, the fruit of that surveillance over the servants becomes apparent.

3:14 And the Lord, may He be exalted, will come.

3:17 "And your Lord will come, and the angels, rank upon rank." May He be exalted.

3:22 This great scene is intensely connected to what is also at the end of Al-Ghashiyah.

3:28 "Indeed, to Us is their return. Then indeed, upon Us is their account."

3:32 So He who was in ambush for you,

3:36 is the one who will hold you accountable, may He be exalted.

3:39 “And thy Lord shall come with angels, rank on rank,” (89:22)

3:42 And the third point is about the theme of the Surah.

3:47 It is briefly mentioned here as proof that the Lord is in ambush

3:51 for everyone who transgressed, became arrogant, caused corruption, and lied.

3:54 This is correct, but we can refine the statement.

3:57 If we make it more comprehensive, we can say: proof that the Lord is in ambush

4:02 along with an explanation of the consequence for those who believed this,

4:06 or disbelieved on the Day of Return.

4:09 This reality: "Indeed, your Lord is in ambush."

4:14 There are those who believe in it and act accordingly.

4:18 They are the ones who will be called out: "O soul at peace,

4:22 return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]."

4:25 As for those who turned away from this reality,

4:29 they will say on that Day:

4:32 "Oh, I wish I had sent forth [good deeds] for my life."

4:35 And Allah knows best.

4:36 May our Lord Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions be blessed.

4:38 Praise be to Allah, O Lord of the worlds.
