and maintaining proper conduct and modesty before Him, Glorified is He.

The servant’s knowledge that the Lord, Glorified is He, is unique in causing harm and benefit,

in giving and withholding, in creating and providing,

all of this results in the inward servitude of reliance (tawakkul) upon Allah,

The servant’s knowledge of the self-sufficiency, generosity, and munificence of Allah,

and of His benevolence, kindness, and mercy,

all of this necessitates a vast hope for what is with Allah.

so they strive to abandon them as much as possible.
