There are two factors, either of which causes one to conceal the truth or obscure it with falsehood.

What drives a scholar to conceal the truth or obscure it with falsehood is:

Either the fear of harm from the people of falsehood,

Or the love of desires and greed for this fleeting world.

Concealing the truth and obscuring it with falsehood out of greed for the world is never permissible under any circumstances.
