0:16 I am one of the Companions.

0:21 I embraced Islam before the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered the house of al-Arqam.

0:27 I was among the oppressed in Makkah.

0:30 I was a slave to al-Tufayl ibn al-Harith.

0:33 He used to torture me to make me renounce my religion, but I refused.

0:38 When Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, saw me suffering from the torture,

0:44 he bought me and set me free.

0:47 I then became his freedman, tending to his sheep.

0:52 When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his companion Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, migrated to Madinah,

1:01 they hid in the cave of Thawr for three nights.

1:05 So that the polytheists would lose their trail.

1:08 I would go to them with the sheep.

1:11 I would milk them for the two of them.

1:13 And when ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr would leave them,

1:17 I would follow his tracks with the sheep to cover his footprints.

1:23 When they set out for Yathrib,

1:25 I went out with them and attained the honor of the migration in their company.

1:31 I served them along the way.

1:34 Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, would have me ride behind him on his mount until we reached Madinah.

1:42 I witnessed the battles of Badr and Uhud with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

1:50 In the fourth year of the Hijrah,

1:53 the incident of Bi'r Ma'unah took place.

1:56 Where the disbelievers committed treachery.

1:58 They killed us all, except for ‘Amr ibn Umayyah, may Allah be pleased with him.

2:04 The one who killed me was Jabbar ibn Salma.

2:08 He pierced my back with his spear.

2:11 The spear passed through my body.

2:13 I said, "I have succeeded, by the Lord of the Ka'bah!"

2:16 Jabbar asked, "What has he succeeded in?"

2:20 They said, "He has succeeded in attaining Paradise."

2:23 He said, "By Allah, he spoke the truth."

2:26 He then embraced Islam afterward.

2:28 Upon my death, the angels raised me to the sky.

2:33 People saw me between the sky and the earth.

2:36 Then the angels placed me back on the earth.

2:40 They came searching for my body,

2:43 but they could not find it.

2:45 They believed that the angels had buried me.
