0:16 I am one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, from among the poor Muhajirun.

0:25 I am one of the notables of the Ahl al-Suffah and one of the 'Weepers' whom Allah excused, as He says:

0:33 “Nor unto those whom, when they came to thee (asking) that thou shouldst mount them, thou didst tell: I cannot find whereon to mount you. They turned back with eyes flowing with tears, for sorrow that they could not find the means to spend.” (9:92)

2:07 He then called for a platter, placed the dates in it, put his hand over them, and invoked the name of Allah.

2:15 He said, "Eat in the name of Allah." We ate, and I counted fifty-four dates that I had eaten, keeping count of them while holding their pits in my other hand.

2:28 My two companions were doing the same, and we became full; when we lifted our hands, the seven dates remained exactly as they were.

2:39 After the death of the Prophet, peace be upon him, I went to the Levant to strive in the path of Allah, living ascetically and turning away from the world.

3:35 "He delivered an eloquent sermon that caused eyes to shed tears and hearts to tremble, so it was said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is as if this is the sermon of one bidding farewell.'"

3:49 "'What do you enjoin upon us?' He replied, 'I enjoin you to fear Allah, and to listen and obey, even if a slave is appointed over you, for whoever among you lives after me...'"

4:05 "'...will see much disagreement, so you must adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs; hold fast to it and bite onto it with your molar teeth.'"

4:20 "'And beware of newly invented matters, for every innovation is a bid'ah, and every bid'ah is a misguidance.'"

4:30 One of the commanders gave a man a donkey from the spoils of war before they were divided, so I said to the man, "It was not for you to take it, nor was it for him to give it to you."

4:43 "It is as if I see you in the Fire, carrying it upon your neck." The man became afraid and returned the donkey to the commander.

4:52 When I saw the change in people's condition and their laxity regarding rights, I wished for Allah to take my soul, so I began to pray:

5:03 "O Allah, my age has advanced and my bones have grown weak, so take me to You." While I was one day in the mosque of Damascus, praying and asking to be taken:

5:16 Suddenly, I saw a youth of the most handsome men, wearing a wide green cloak. He said to me, "What is this that you are praying for?" I said, "How should I pray, O son of my brother?"

5:32 He said, "Say: O Allah, make my deeds good and bring my term to its end." I said, "How beautiful that is," then I turned around and found no one. So, who am I?
