2:58 I was chaste, generous, a frequent spender in the cause of Allah, humble, and ascetic.

3:06 I would walk among my servants and not be distinguished from them.

3:11 One day, the Mother of the Believers, 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, heard a sound that shook Medina.

3:18 She asked, "What is this?" They replied, "A caravan that has arrived from the Levant."

3:30 She asked, "Whose is it?" They informed her that it was mine.

3:34 She said to them, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say:"

3:41 "That he saw him entering Paradise crawling."

3:46 When this reached me, I went to her and asked her, and she told me what she had heard.

3:53 I said to her, "I call you to witness that this caravan, with all its cargo, is charity in the cause of Allah the Almighty."

4:02 One day, I was fasting, and they brought me food for breaking the fast that was delicious and pleasant.

4:09 I said, "Mus'ab ibn 'Umayr was killed, and he was better than me."

4:14 "He was shrouded in a cloak; if his head was covered, his feet were exposed."

4:22 "Hamzah was killed, and he was better than me."

4:26 "Nothing could be found to shroud him in except a cloak."

4:30 "Then we were given of the world what we were given."

4:34 "I fear that our good deeds have been hastened for us in this life."

4:38 Then I began to weep until I left the food.

4:42 I was dutiful to the Mothers of the Believers after the passing of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

4:50 I would look after them with wealth and care.

4:53 The Prophet, peace be upon him, had said to his wives:

4:57 "None will show you kindness after me except the truthful and the patient."

5:02 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, used to pray for me, saying:

5:07 "May Allah give you to drink from the Salsabil of Paradise."

5:11 When death approached me, I bequeathed to every man remaining from the people of Badr:

5:17 Four hundred dinars, and there were one hundred of them.

5:21 And I bequeathed to every woman among the Mothers of the Believers a large sum of wealth.
