0:26 And the first Muslim to enter Makkah proclaiming the oneness of Allah (Tawhid).

0:31 I am the leader of the Banu Hanifah and a chief among their chiefs.

0:35 I am the first to impose an economic boycott on the disbelievers.

0:40 When I cut off the supply of provisions to the people of Makkah in support of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

0:47 Before my conversion, I had confronted the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, while I was still a polytheist.

0:55 I intended to kill him, but Allah prevented me.

0:59 The Prophet, peace be upon him, prayed that Allah would grant him power over me.

1:04 Some time later, the Prophet, peace be upon him, sent a detachment toward Najd.

1:11 When they were on their way back,

1:14 They captured me while I was setting out for 'Umrah.

1:18 They took me as a prisoner with them to Madinah.

1:21 Then they tied me to one of the pillars of the Mosque.

1:25 The Prophet, peace be upon him, came out to me.

1:29 He said, "What do you have to say?"

1:33 I replied, "I have good, O Muhammad.

1:37 If you kill me, you kill one whose blood must be avenged.

1:40 If you show grace, you show grace to one who is grateful.

1:43 And if you desire wealth, ask for as much as you wish."

1:48 He left me and instructed his Companions to treat me well.

1:53 I was fed from the finest food they had.

1:57 When the next day came,

1:59 He came to me and said, "What do you have to say?"

2:03 I replied, "I have what I told you yesterday."

2:07 He left me.

2:09 When the third day came,

2:12 He came to me and said, "What do you have to say?"

2:15 I replied, "I have what I told you."

2:19 The Prophet, peace be upon him, said to his Companions,

2:23 "Release him," and they released me.

2:26 During those three days,

2:29 I had been listening to the word of Allah,

2:31 Seeing the worship of the Muslims and their unity,

2:35 Their love for the Prophet, peace be upon him,

2:39 And their selflessness toward one another.

2:42 So I went to a palm grove near the Mosque,

2:45 Performed ghusl, then entered the Mosque.

2:48 I said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah,

2:53 And that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."

2:56 "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah,

2:59 There was no face on earth more hateful to me than yours.

3:03 But now, your face has become the most beloved of faces to me.

3:07 By Allah, there was no religion more hateful to me than your religion.

3:13 But now, your religion has become the most beloved religion to me.

3:17 By Allah, there was no land more hateful to me than your land.

3:22 But now, your land has become the most beloved of lands to me.

3:25 Your cavalry captured me while I was intending to perform 'Umrah.

3:29 So what do you advise?"

3:31 The Prophet, peace be upon him, gave me glad tidings,

3:35 Prayed for me,

3:37 And commanded me to complete my 'Umrah.

3:40 When I arrived in Makkah,

3:43 I performed the talbiyah of Tawhid.

3:46 Someone from the people of Makkah said to me,

3:49 "Have you apostatized?"

3:50 I said, "No,

3:52 But I have submitted to Islam,

3:54 And followed Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him."

3:59 They rose up to attack me,

4:02 But I said to them,

4:04 "By Allah, not a single grain of wheat shall reach you from Yamamah,

4:08 Until the Prophet, peace be upon him, permits it."

4:13 Some of the youth of Quraysh intended to shoot me with an arrow,

4:18 But they held his hand and said,

4:21 "Woe to you! Do you know who this is?

4:24 He is the King of Yamamah."

4:27 When I returned to my people,

4:29 I kept my oath.

4:31 I withheld from the people of Makkah what used to reach them from Yamamah,

4:35 Of their benefits and food,

4:38 Until they were struck by hardship.

4:41 They wrote to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying,

4:46 "We know you to be a man of integrity,

4:47 Who commands the maintaining of family ties and urges others to do so.

4:52 Your companion has cut off our supplies and harmed us.

4:57 If you see fit to write to him,

4:59 To let us have our supplies,

5:02 Then do so."

5:04 The Prophet, peace be upon him, responded to the request of his people,

5:09 And wrote to me,

5:10 "Let the Quraysh have their supplies."

5:14 I complied with the command of the Prophet, peace be upon him,

5:18 And allowed the Banu Hanifah to send crops to Makkah.

5:24 Toward the end of the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,

5:29 The tribulation of Musaylimah the Liar emerged among my people.

5:33 It worsened after the passing of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

5:38 But Allah kept me steadfast on the religion,

5:40 And I did not apostatize with those who apostatized from the people of Yamamah.

5:44 I said to my people, warning them against Musaylimah,

5:48 "O Banu Hanifah,

5:50 Beware of this dark affair which has no light in it.

5:55 By Allah, it is a misery that Allah has decreed for those of you who follow it,

6:02 And a trial for those who do not."

6:05 "O Banu Hanifah,

6:07 Two prophets cannot exist at the same time,

6:11 And Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and there is no prophet after him."

6:16 Then I fought alongside the Muslims,

6:18 Until the tribulation of Musaylimah the Liar ended with his death.

6:23 Then I prepared an army from the Banu Hanifah,

6:26 And marched with them until we joined the army of al-'Ala' Ibn al-Hadrami, may Allah be pleased with him,
