we went out to fight toward Mount Uhud.

I was the very first to be slain in the battle,

and the polytheists mutilated my body.

My sister wept over me,

"Whether you weep for him or not,

the angels continued to shade him with their wings until you lifted him up."

Then they buried me at the site of the battle.

After that, Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, spoke to me directly without any veil.

Ask Me, and I shall give you whatever you desire."

bring me back to life so that I may be slain for Your sake a second time!"

He, Glorified is He, said to me:

"Indeed, the Word has already gone forth from Me that they shall not return to it."

So Allah Almighty revealed His divine word.

“Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision.” (3:169)

Forty-six years later, a flood came and unearthed some of the graves,

and blood gushed out as if I had just been killed that very hour.
