1:28 They did not leave me alone until I spoke ill of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
1:34 And I spoke well of their idols.
1:37 When I came to the Prophet, peace be upon him,
1:41 he saw me weeping.
1:43 He asked, "What is the matter with you?"
1:46 I said, "It is evil, O Messenger of Allah."
1:49 "By Allah, they did not leave me until I spoke ill of you,"
1:53 "and spoke well of their idols."
1:56 He, peace be upon him, said:
1:59 "And how do you find your heart?"
2:01 I said, "My heart is tranquil with faith."
2:06 He said, "If they return, then you return [to what you said]."
2:10 And regarding this, the words of Allah the Almighty were revealed:
2:13 “Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.” (16:106)
