2:44 To the destination to which the Prophet, peace be upon him, had directed me.

2:56 I said, "O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah,

3:00 Or I shall dismount."
3:02 He replied,
3:04 "By Allah, you shall not dismount, nor shall I ride.
3:07 What harm is there in my feet becoming dusty for an hour in the path of Allah?"
3:13 He asked my permission regarding 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him,
3:16 That he might remain with him in Madinah,
3:18 And I granted it to him.
3:20 So, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, after that,
3:24 Would never meet me without saying,
3:28 "Peace be upon you, O Commander, and the mercy of Allah."
3:32 The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, passed away,
