3:11 They said: "We do not think you should flog him while he is ill," but ‘Umar replied: "That he should meet Allah under the lashes is dearer to me than that I should meet Him while he (the responsibility for his punishment) is still upon my neck."

3:25 "Bring me a full whip," and ‘Umar ordered that I be flogged, so I became angry with ‘Umar and shunned him.

3:34 Then ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, went out for Hajj, and I also went out with the people for Hajj.

3:41 When we returned from our Hajj, ‘Umar stopped at a place on the road and slept.

3:48 When he awoke from his sleep, he summoned me and said: "By Allah, someone came to me in my dream and said: 'Make peace with him, for he is your brother.'"

4:00 When they came for me, I refused to go to him, so ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, ordered them to bring me to him even if they had to drag me.

4:10 When I came to him, he spoke to me, sought forgiveness for me, and made peace with me. So, who am I?
