0:26 I was exceptionally intelligent.

0:28 I held a position of status among both the Arabs and the Jews.

0:32 I used to visit the Jews of Banu Qurayza.

0:36 I would stay with them for days.

0:39 I would drink their drink.

0:41 And I would eat their food.

0:43 Then they would provide me with dates.

0:46 And I would return with them to my people.

0:50 When the Confederates (al-Ahzab) marched to fight the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

0:56 I marched with my people while still following my original religion.

0:59 During our siege of Medina.

1:02 Allah cast Islam into my heart.

1:05 I concealed this from my people.

1:08 I went out until I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.

1:13 When he saw me, he said:

1:16 "What has brought you?"

1:18 I said:

1:19 "I have come to you as a Muslim."

1:21 "And I bear witness that what you have brought is the truth."

1:25 "So command me, O Messenger of Allah, to do whatever you wish."

1:28 The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

1:31 "You are but one man."

1:34 "So use deception on our behalf as much as you are able."

1:37 I said:

1:38 "I shall do so, O Messenger of Allah."

1:42 I went to Banu Qurayza and said:

1:45 "Keep my secret."

1:47 They replied: "We will."

1:49 I said:

1:50 "Indeed, Quraysh and Ghatafan..."

1:53 "...their intention is to turn away from Muhammad."

1:56 "If they see an opportunity, they will seize it."

1:59 "But if not, they will return to their lands."

2:02 "And they will leave you and Muhammad to deal with one another."

2:05 "So do not fight alongside them until you take hostages from them."

2:09 "For they will not leave while their hostages are with you."

2:13 They said:

2:14 "You have offered us sound advice and counsel."

2:18 Then I went out to Abu Sufyan.

2:21 I said to him:

2:22 "I have come to you with advice."

2:24 "Keep my secret."

2:26 He said:

2:27 "I will."

2:28 I said:

2:29 "You know that Qurayza have regretted what they did between themselves and Muhammad."

2:35 "And they wish to reconcile and return to him."

2:39 "They sent to him while I was with them saying:"

2:42 "'We will take from Quraysh and Ghatafan...'"

2:45 "'...seventy men of their nobles.'"

2:48 "'We will hand them over to you to be beheaded.'"

2:52 "'And we will be with you against Quraysh and Ghatafan.'"

2:56 "'Until we drive them away from you.'"

2:58 "So if they send to you asking for hostages..."

3:02 "...do not give them anyone, and be wary of them."

3:06 Then Qurayza sent to Quraysh:

3:10 "By Allah, we will not go out and fight Muhammad with you..."

3:15 "...until you give us hostages from among you to stay with us."

3:19 "For we fear that you might be defeated and leave us alone with Muhammad."

3:25 Abu Sufyan said to himself:

3:28 "By Allah, the man speaks the truth."

3:31 He replied to them, saying:

3:33 "By Allah, we will not give you any hostages."

3:37 "But come out and fight with us."

3:40 The Jews said:

3:42 "We swear by the Torah..."

3:44 "...that the news the man told us is true."

3:47 Thus, these despaired of the support of those.

3:51 And those despaired of the support of these.

3:54 Their affairs became conflicted and they dispersed.

3:57 This was the first sign of their defeat.

4:00 Then Allah sent against them a wind.

4:03 And soldiers from Himself.

4:05 And that was their end.
