0:27 What is the Inevitable Reality?

0:33 And what can make you know what the Inevitable Reality is?

0:40 It is the Hour of Resurrection, in which matters are confirmed and settled.

0:44 And in which requital for deeds becomes mandatory.

0:47 What is the Hour of the Inevitable Reality?

0:50 And what could make you know and understand what the Inevitable Reality is?

0:56 “(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.” (69:4)

1:01 “As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.” (69:5)

1:08 Thamud, the people of Salih, and ‘Ad, the people of Hud, denied it.

1:12 They denied the Hour that strikes the hearts of the servants.

1:15 By its sudden onslaught upon them.

1:17 As for Thamud, the people of Salih:

1:20 Allah destroyed them with a devastating, overwhelming blast.

1:24 “And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,” (69:6)

1:33 “Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.” (69:7)

1:41 You would see the people therein lying prostrate, as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

1:48 “Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?” (69:8)

1:55 And as for ‘Ad, the people of Hud:

1:57 Allah destroyed them with a wind of intense, howling violence.

2:01 Accompanied by extreme cold.

2:03 It defied its keepers in its blowing.

2:06 It exceeded, in its intensity and howling, the known limits of wind and cold.

2:12 That wind was unleashed upon ‘Ad for seven nights and eight days in succession.

2:19 You would see, O Muhammad, the people of ‘Ad destroyed.

2:22 As if they were the roots of palm trees that had rotted away.

2:26 So do you see, O Muhammad, any remnant of the people of ‘Ad?

2:31 “And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,” (69:9)

2:39 They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a mounting, severe seizure.

2:46 And there came Pharaoh.

2:48 And those before him, from the nations that denied the signs of Allah.

2:53 Like the people of Nuh, ‘Ad, and Thamud, who committed sins.

2:58 And the cities that were overturned upon their inhabitants.

3:00 Their tops were turned to their bottoms due to their sins.

3:04 Their sin was their practice of sodomy.

3:09 These people whom Allah mentioned disobeyed.

3:13 Namely Pharaoh, those before him, and the people of the overturned cities, they all disobeyed the messenger of their Lord.

3:18 So their Lord seized them for their denial of His messenger with an excessive, severe, and growing seizure.

3:31 We carried you in the sailing ship.

3:34 “That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.” (69:12)

3:43 When the water rose and exceeded its known limits.

3:47 We carried you in the ship that sails upon the water.

3:51 So that We might make the sailing ship in which We carried you.

3:56 A lesson and an admonition for you to take heed.

3:59 And that a receptive ear might grasp and understand from Allah what it has heard.

4:23 When the Trumpet is blown by Israfil, the first blast.

4:27 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with a single crushing blow.

4:33 On that day, the Hour will occur and the Resurrection will be established.

4:38 “And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.” (69:16)

4:46 And the angels will be at its borders.

4:51 “And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them.” (69:17)

4:57 “On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden.” (69:18)

5:05 The heaven will split asunder, for on that day it will be torn and fractured.

5:11 And the angels will be at the edges and fringes of the heaven as it splits.

5:16 And the Throne of your Lord will be borne above them on that day by eight ranks of angels.

5:23 None knows their number except Allah.

5:25 Or eight mighty angels.

5:28 On that day, O people, you will be presented before your Lord.

5:32 No secret of yours will be hidden from Allah.

5:35 For He is All-Knowing of you all, encompassing you all.

5:41 “Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!” (69:19)

5:49 He will say, "Here, read my record!"

5:54 “Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning.” (69:20)

6:02 As for the one who is given his record of deeds in his right hand, he will say, "Come, read my record!"

6:09 "I knew that I would meet my reckoning," when he arrived before his Lord on the Day of Resurrection.

6:18 So he will be in a pleasant life.

6:21 In a lofty Garden.

6:24 Its fruits will be hanging low.

6:27 “(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.” (69:24)

6:37 The one whose state I have described is he who was given his record in his right hand.

6:42 In a life that is pleasing, or a life in which there is contentment.

6:47 The life is described as being one of contentment, and it is indeed pleasing.

6:50 For that is a praise of the life in a high, elevated garden.

6:56 The fruits of the Garden that are plucked are near to the one plucking them.

7:02 It is mentioned that whoever desires its fruit may take it as he wishes, whether standing or sitting.

7:09 Neither distance prevents him from it, nor do thorns stand between him and it.

7:15 "Eat," O you with whom I am pleased and whom I have admitted into My Garden.

7:19 Eat of its fruits and the goodness of the food therein.

7:23 And drink of its beverages.

7:25 Enjoy it as a reward for what you sent forth in your worldly life for your Hereafter, through obedience to Allah.

7:32 In the days of the world that have passed and gone.

7:36 “But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book” (69:25)

7:41 “But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book” (69:25)

7:46 "And I did not know what my reckoning would be."

7:49 “Oh, would that it had been death!” (69:27)

7:54 But as for the one who is given his record of deeds in his left hand on that day.

7:59 He will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record!"

8:03 "And I did not know what my reckoning was."

8:06 "Oh, I wish the death that I died in the world."

8:10 "Had been the end of everything thereafter."

8:13 And that there had been no life or resurrection after it.

8:27 Meaning that the wealth he possessed in the world will not save him from the punishment of Allah at all.

8:34 "My arguments have vanished and are lost."

8:37 I have no argument to plead my case.

8:41 "Seize him and shackle him."

8:46 "Then into the Hellfire drive him."

8:50 "Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits, insert him."

8:59 The Almighty says, instructing His angels, the keepers of Hell:

9:04 Seize him and shackle him.

9:06 Then cast him into Hell to burn therein.

9:10 Then insert him into a chain whose length is seventy cubits.

9:14 By the cubit of Allah, for He knows the extent of its length.

9:19 “Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,” (69:33)

9:25 And he did not encourage the feeding of the poor.

9:30 “Therefor hath he no lover here this day,” (69:35)

9:36 “Nor any food save filth” (69:36)

9:41 “Which none but sinners eat.” (69:37)

9:47 Do this to him as a recompense for his disbelief in Allah in the world.

9:53 He did not believe in the Oneness of the Almighty Allah.

9:58 Nor did he encourage people to feed the needy and those in want.

10:02 So on the Day of Resurrection, in the Hereafter, he will have no close relative to defend him.

10:08 Or to save him from the affliction he is in.

10:11 Nor will he have any food.

10:13 Just as he did not encourage the feeding of the poor in the world.

10:17 Except for food from the discharge of the people of the Fire.

10:21 No one eats the food that comes from the washing of wounds.

10:24 Except the sinners.

10:25 Those whose sins are disbelief in Allah.

10:34 And what you do not see.

10:37 It is the word of a noble messenger.

10:43 “It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe!” (69:41)

10:46 Little is it that you believe.

10:50 And it is not the word of a soothsayer.

10:53 Little is it that you remember.

10:57 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

11:06 Nay.

11:07 The matter is not as you say, O you who deny the Book of Allah and His messengers.

11:12 I swear by all things.

11:15 Those of which you see and those which you do not see.

11:19 This Qur'an is not the word of a poet.

11:22 Because Muhammad does not know how to compose poetry.

11:25 Yet you say it is poetry.

11:27 You believe in it but little.

11:31 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer.

11:33 Because Muhammad is not a soothsayer.

11:36 Yet you say it is the rhymed prose of soothsayers.

11:39 You take little admonition from it.

11:42 And little do you reflect upon it.

11:45 But it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds, sent down upon him.

11:51 “And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,” (69:44)

11:56 We would have seized him by the right hand.

12:01 “And then severed his life-artery,” (69:46)

12:06 “And not one of you could have held Us off from him.” (69:47)

12:14 If Muhammad had fabricated against Us some false sayings.

12:18 And lied about Us.

12:20 We would have seized him with Our might and power.

12:24 Then We would have cut his life-artery.

12:27 By this, He means that He would have hastened his punishment and not delayed it.

12:34 And there is no one among you, O people, who could prevent Us from dealing with Muhammad.

12:39 Who could stop Us from punishing him or doing what We will to him.

12:44 It is indeed a reminder for the righteous.

12:50 “And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it).” (69:49)

12:59 “And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers.” (69:50)

13:04 It is the absolute truth.

13:10 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.

13:23 For the righteous who fear the punishment of Allah by performing His obligatory duties and avoiding His prohibitions.

13:30 We know that there are some among you, O people, who deny this Qur'an.

13:35 And indeed, denying it will be a source of regret and remorse for the disbelievers in the Qur'an on the Day of Resurrection.

13:42 It is the absolute truth, about which there is no doubt that it is from Allah.

13:48 Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not fabricate it.

13:53 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great, before Whom everything is small in His greatness.
