In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08
It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14
Surat Al-Mu'minun
0:18
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:22
If We had mercy on them and removed their harm, they would fly away blind
0:33
If only we had mercy on those who do not believe in the afterlife
0:38
And We removed from them their suffering of drought, barrenness, and the affliction of hunger
0:42
In their arrogance and audacity, they hesitate before their Lord
0:48
And We seized them with torment, but they did not submit to their Lord, nor did they supplicate
0:58
We have punished these polytheists
1:02
We made their livelihood difficult, made their country barren, and killed their families with the sword
1:09
They did not submit to their Lord and submit to His commands and prohibitions, and they did not submit to Him
1:17
Until, when We open upon them a door of severe torment, they will be lost in it
1:33
Even if we open the door to famine and harm to them
1:38
These polytheists became sad and regretted what had happened before them in denying the verses of God
1:46
It is He who created for you hearing, sight, and hearts. You rarely doubt
1:57
It is God who gave you the hearing with which you hear and the vision with which you see
2:04
And the benefits that you understand
2:07
How can it be impossible for whoever created it to begin with to bring it back?
2:12
You are thankful, you liars, for God’s news of His giving you hearing, sight, and hearts a little
2:21
It is He who produced you on earth, and to Him you will be gathered
2:28
It is God who created you on earth, and to Him you will be gathered after your death
2:34
Then you will be raised from your graves to a position of reckoning
2:39
It is He who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand?
2:50
It is God who gives life to His creation after they were dead sperm
2:55
He will kill them after bringing them back to life
2:58
He is the one who made night and day different
3:02
Do you not understand, O people?
3:05
The one who did these actions started without a foundation
3:09
It is not impossible for him to revive the dead after they have perished
3:15
Rather, they said the same as what the ancients said
3:19
They said, "When we die and become dust and bones, will we be resurrected?"
3:29
What do these polytheists think of God’s signs?
3:33
But they said what their ancestors said
3:37
They said: When we die, we will return to dust
3:41
We will be resurrected from our graves, alive as we were before death
3:47
This is something that does not exist
3:51
We and our parents promised this before
3:57
These are nothing but legends of the ancients
4:03
They said: We were promised this promise that you promised us, O Muhammad
4:08
Our fathers before us promised a people who mentioned that they were God’s messengers before you
4:15
We didn't see it for real
4:17
What is this that prepares us for resurrection after death?
4:21
Except for what the ancients wrote in their books of hadiths and reports
4:26
Which has no validity or truth
4:30
Say, “Whose earth is it and who is on it, if you know?”
4:38
They will say to God: Say, will you not remember?
4:46
Say, O Muhammad, to her are those who deny the Hereafter
4:50
Who owns the earth and all of its creation?
4:53
If you know who owns it
4:56
Then inform him that they will acknowledge that she is God’s queen
5:01
So tell them, “Don’t you remember?”
5:05
So you know that whoever was able to create that in the first place
5:09
He is able to revive them after they die
5:14
Say, “Who is the Lord of the Seven Heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne?”
5:21
They will say to God: “Say, will you not fear God?”
5:28
Tell them, O Muhammad, who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Throne surrounding that
5:35
They will say all of that to God, so tell them
5:40
Do you not fear His punishment for your disbelief in Him and your denial of His news and the news of His Messenger?
5:48
Say, “Who holds the kingdom of everything?”
5:52
He is generous and he is not respected
5:56
He is generous and He is not benevolent, if you only knew
6:03
They will say to God, “Say, I will bewitch you.”
6:12
Say, O Muhammad, who holds the treasures of everything?
6:16
He protects whomever he wants from those who mean evil to him
6:20
No one abstains from someone who wants him badly
6:25
So his torment and punishment will be warded off from him
6:28
If you know his character from that
6:31
They will say that the kingdom of everything
6:35
The power over all things belongs to God
6:38
So tell them, O Muhammad
6:41
In what way does the lie really come to you?
6:45
And the corrupt is true
6:47
So you turn away from acknowledging the truth to which our Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, calls you
6:56
Rather, We gave them the truth, and they are liars
7:03
God did not have a son, nor was there any god with Him
7:10
Then every god would destroy what he created, and some of them would be superior to others
7:18
Glory be to God for what they describe
7:22
He knows the unseen and the witnessed, so He is exalted above what they associate with Him
7:31
What is the matter as these polytheists claim?
7:35
That angels are daughters of God
7:38
And that gods and idols are gods other than God
7:43
Rather, We gave them certainty, which is Islam
7:46
Indeed, the polytheists are liars in what they attribute to God
7:51
They remove it from the child and the partner
7:54
God has no son
7:56
There was no one with him in the past who was worthy of worship
8:00
Even if things were with him in the past or at the time of his creation, it would be appropriate to worship him
8:06
Therefore, each of them is not isolated from what He created and is alone with it
8:11
And you will prevail, one against the other
8:15
The strong among them defeated the weak
8:18
Glory be to God and may He be above what these polytheists describe Him as
8:25
He knows the things that are hidden from His creation
8:28
So God exalted and exalted the polytheism of these polytheists
8:33
He described them as they described him
8:46
Say, O Muhammad, my Lord, if you show me in these polytheists what you promise them of your punishment
8:53
Do not destroy me with what you destroy them with
8:57
Save me from your torment and wrath
9:00
Do not place me among the polytheist people
9:03
But make me among the saints you are pleased with
9:08
Do not place me among the unjust people
9:11
And We are capable of showing you what We promise them
9:17
O Muhammad, we are determined to show you regarding these polytheists what we promise them of hastening the torment for them. We are capable of it
9:26
So do not be saddened by their denial of what we promised them
9:31
But we postpone that until the deadline for the Book reaches
9:36
Repel with what is better than evil. We know best what they describe
9:45
Pay, O Muhammad, with the trait that is better
9:49
That is turning a blind eye and pardoning the ignorant polytheists
9:53
And be patient with their harm
9:55
This was his command to him before his command to fight them
10:00
And He cursed us with evil deeds, as the polytheists harmed Him
10:04
We know best what they describe God with
10:07
They free him from the lies and slander against him
10:10
And what they say about you is bad
10:13
We reward them for all of that
10:18
And say, “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the instigations of the devils.”
10:25
I seek refuge in You, Lord, lest they attend
10:32
And say, O Muhammad, my Lord, I seek refuge in You from the suffocation and whisperings of the devils
10:39
And say, “I seek refuge in You, Lord, lest they be present in my affairs.”
10:45
Even when death comes to one of them, he says, “Lord, bring me back.”
10:52
Perhaps I may do good with what I have left behind
10:57
No, it is a word he said
11:04
And behind them is an isthmus until the Day they are resurrected
11:13
Even if death comes to one of these polytheists
11:17
He said he regretted what he had missed
11:20
Lord, bring me back to this world and bring me back to it
11:24
So that I can do good with what I left off work before today
11:29
I lost it and was alone in it
11:31
No, it is not what he said
11:35
This word is his saying, “O Lord, bring me back.”
11:39
The word of this polytheist is the one who said it
11:43
There is a barrier in front of them, preventing them from returning
11:48
Until the day they are resurrected from their graves
11:52
If the trumpet is blown, there will be no lineage between them on that day
11:58
There will be no lineage between them on that day, and they will not ask questions
12:08
If he blows the pictures
12:10
So everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth was shocked, except those whom God willed
12:15
There will be no lineage between them on that day through which they can communicate
12:19
And they don't wonder
12:21
They do not visit each other and ask about their conditions and lineages
12:27
Those whose scales are heavy are the ones who are successful
12:35
And whoever's scales are light, those are the ones who lost their souls in hell to abide forever
12:50
Their faces will be engulfed in fire, and they will burn in it
12:57
Whoever's good deeds are heavy, those are the ones who will live forever in the gardens of bliss
13:04
And if the scales of his good deeds are light, then those who deceived themselves will receive their blessings from God’s mercy
13:12
They will abide in the fire of Hell forever. Their faces will be engulfed by the flame of fire, which will burn them
13:19
There they are with their lips pulled away from their teeth due to the fire burning their faces
13:35
It will be said to them: Were the verses of the Qur’an not recited to you in this world and you used to deny them?
13:55
They say, “Our Lord, we have overcome what preceded us in Your foreknowledge and wrote down for us in the Mother of the Book.”
14:03
We were a people who had strayed from the path of guidance and the goal of truth
14:09
Our Lord, take us out of it, and if we return, we will be wrongdoers
14:16
He said: Be humble about it and do not speak
14:21
Our Lord, take us out of the Fire. If we return to the deeds that You hate from us, then we are wrongdoers
14:30
The Lord said in response to them, “Sit in the fire and do not speak.”
14:37
Indeed, there was a group of My servants saying, “Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the Merciful.”
14:55
So you took them as a mockery until I made you forget My remembrance, and you were laughing at them
15:11
God Almighty says that there was a group of My servants who were people of faith in God
15:19
They say in this world, “Our Lord, we believe in you and your messengers, so forgive us and have mercy on us.”
15:26
You are better than those who have mercy on the people of calamity, so do not torture us with your torment
15:32
So you have taken the people who believe in me in this world as a mockery and a toy for you to mock
15:38
Your mockery of them continued until you made me forget to mention it and distracted you from it, and you were laughing at them
15:48
I have rewarded them today for their patience. Indeed, they are the victors
15:58
Indeed, O polytheists of God, I reward those whom you took in this world as a mockery of the people of faith
16:06
Because they were patient with what they used to face when you made fun of them
16:11
They are the winners today of eternal bliss and lasting dignity
16:18
He said: How many years did you stay on earth?
16:23
They said, “We stayed for a day or part of a day, so ask the two numbers.”
16:32
He said, “You only stayed for a short time, if only you had known.”
16:42
He said to these wretches, how many years have you been in this world?
16:48
They replied, “We stayed there for a day or part of a day.”
16:54
So ask the numerals who count the number of months and years, because we do not know, we have forgotten that
17:03
God said to them, “You did not stay on earth except for a short time.”
17:08
If you only knew how much you would have stayed there
17:13
Did you think that We created you in vain and that you would not be returned to Us?
17:23
Did you think, O wretched ones, that We created you only as a game and in vain?
17:30
And you will not be returned to your Lord after your death
17:34
Then you will be rewarded for what you used to do in this world
17:39
So exalted is God, the True King
17:42
As these polytheists describe him, that he has a partner
17:48
There is no deity to whom one should worship except Allah, Lord of the Noble Throne
17:54
Whoever calls upon another god with God has no proof for it
18:01
His account is deep
18:05
Whoever calls upon another god with God has no proof for it
18:11
His reckoning is with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed
18:21
And whoever supplicates with the deity for whom worship is not appropriate, except for another deity
18:27
There is no evidence for what he says or does regarding that, nor is it clear
18:32
The account of his bad deeds is with his Lord
18:36
He will pay his reward if it is brought against him
18:40
People who disbelieve in God will not succeed with Him
18:44
They do not realize immortality and survival in bliss
18:59
And say, O Muhammad, my Lord, cover my sins by pardoning them
19:04
And have mercy on me by accepting your repentance
19:07
And say, O Lord, you are better than having mercy on a sinner
19:12
He accepted his repentance and did not punish her
