0:23 O mankind, fear your Lord.

0:27 “O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing.” (22:1)

0:34 “On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them).” (22:2)

0:41 “On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them).” (22:2)

1:04 O mankind, beware of your Lord's punishment.

1:07 For His punishment on the Day of Resurrection is severe for whoever defies Him.

1:12 The Day you see it, O mankind, the earth will quake,

1:16 and every nursing mother will abandon her infant,

1:21 due to the distress that befalls them.

1:23 And you, Muhammad, will see mankind as if they are drunk,

1:27 yet they are not drunk.

1:29 Because of the immense distress and severity of what has befallen them.

1:33 Drunk from terror,

1:35 not drunk from drinking wine.

1:38 Rather, they will become as if drunk from the fear of Allah's punishment

1:42 upon witnessing what they witness of the distress of that Day,

1:46 and its immense horror.

1:48 While knowing the severity of Allah's punishment.

1:52 And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge

1:58 and follows every rebellious devil.

2:05 And among mankind is he who argues concerning Allah,

2:08 claiming that Allah is not capable of resurrecting those who have decayed and turned to dust,

2:14 without any knowledge he possesses.

2:16 Rather, out of ignorance of what he says.

2:19 And he follows, in his speech and dispute about Allah without knowledge,

2:23 every rebellious devil.

2:27 “For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame.” (22:4)

2:34 “For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame.” (22:4)

2:43 It has been decreed for the devil

2:45 that whoever follows the devil from Allah's creation

2:48 will be led astray by him,

2:50 and whoever follows him will be driven to the blazing hellfire.

We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth).” (22:5)

3:13 Then from a sperm-drop,

3:17 then from a clinging clot,

3:23 then from a morsel of flesh,

3:27 formed,

3:29 and unformed.

3:31 We make clear to you.

3:33 “O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. 3:37 until an appointed term.

3:41 Then We bring you forth as a child,

3:45 then We bring you forth as a child,

3:49 then [We bring you] that you may reach your maturity.

3:53 And among you is he who is taken in death,

3:57 and among you is he who is returned to decrepit old age,

4:03 so that he knows not,

4:07 “O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. 4:11 And you see the earth barren,

4:15 but when We send down upon it rain, it trembles

4:19 and swells and produces

4:23 of every beautiful kind.

4:27 “Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! If ye are in doubt of my religion, then (know that) I worship not those whom ye worship instead of Allah, but I worship Allah Who causeth you to die, and I have been commanded to be of the believers.” (10:104)

4:31 from Our power to resurrect you from your graves after your death.

4:35 For in Our initial creation of your father Adam,

4:39 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, from dust,

4:41 then Our creation of you from a sperm-drop,

4:45 then Our progression of you through states, one after another,

4:49 from a sperm-drop to a clinging clot,

4:51 then from a clinging clot to a formed morsel of flesh,

4:55 a complete creation,

4:57 and unformed,

4:59 which is the miscarried fetus before its creation is complete.

5:01 So that We may make clear to you Our power over what We will,

5:05 and make known to you Our initiation of your creation.

5:09 And whoever We have decreed for him to remain and live,

5:11 We settle him in the womb of his mother until the appointed time We have set for him,

5:17 so He does not miscarry him.

5:19 Then We bring you forth from the wombs of your mothers

5:22 when you reach the term We have decreed for your emergence from them,

5:27 as small infants.

5:29 Then [We bring you forth] that you may reach the fullness of your intellect and the peak of your strength in your lifespan.

5:34 And among you, O mankind, is he who is taken in death before reaching his maturity, and dies.

5:40 And among you is he who is prolonged in his term, so he lives to become decrepit.

5:45 So he is returned, after the end of his youth, to an age of prolonged life,

5:49 until he reverts to his state in his youth,

5:53 knowing nothing after his initial intellect.

5:57 And you see the earth, Muhammad, dry and barren,

6:00 its traces of vegetation and crops erased, with no plants upon it.

6:05 But when We send down rain upon this barren earth,

6:09 it moves with vegetation,

6:11 and the vegetation doubles with the arrival of the rain,

6:14 and this earth produces every beautiful kind.

6:18 “That is because Allah, He is the Truth and because He quickeneth the dead, and because He is Able to do all things;” (22:6)

6:30 “That is because Allah, He is the Truth and because He quickeneth the dead, and because He is Able to do all things;” (22:6)

6:36 “And because the Hour will come, there is no doubt thereof; and because Allah will raise those who are in the graves.” (22:7)

6:41 “And because the Hour will come, there is no doubt thereof; and because Allah will raise those who are in the graves.” (22:7)

6:47 This which I have mentioned to you, O mankind,

6:51 is so that you may believe and affirm that He who did this

6:55 is Allah, who is the Truth, with no doubt about Him.

6:59 And know that the power with which He brought forth these wondrous things

7:04 is not incapable of resurrecting the dead after their annihilation.

7:10 And that the doer of that is capable of all that He wills and desires.

7:15 And be certain that the Hour, which I have promised you that I will resurrect the dead from their graves,

7:21 is coming, inevitably, with no doubt of its arrival and occurrence.

7:27 And that Allah will resurrect from the graves at that time whoever is in them, the dead, alive for the reckoning.

7:35 And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge, nor guidance, nor an illuminating Book.

7:47 And among mankind is he who argues concerning the Oneness of Allah and His exclusivity in divinity,

7:53 without any knowledge of what he argues about,

7:56 and without any clear explanation for what he says, nor proof.

8:01 And without a Book from Allah that came to him to validate what he says.

8:08 So he is turned away to lead astray from the path of Allah.

8:13 For him in this world is disgrace.

8:16 “Turning away in pride to beguile (men) from the way of Allah. For him in this world is ignominy, and on the Day of Resurrection We make him taste the doom of burning.” (22:9)

8:22 “(And unto him it will be said): This is for that which thy two hands have sent before, and because Allah is no oppressor of His slaves.” (22:10)

8:31 Indeed, Allah has described this disputer about Allah without knowledge

8:36 that when he is called to Allah, he turns away from the caller,

8:41 turning his neck away from him and not listening to what is said to him out of arrogance.

8:46 And this polytheist disputes about Allah without knowledge to divert believers in Allah from their religion.

8:53 For this disputer without knowledge, in this world,

8:57 is killing, humiliation, and degradation at the hands of the believers,

9:01 and We will burn him on the Day of Resurrection in the Fire.

9:04 And it will be said to him, "This is the punishment which We made you taste today

9:09 for what your hands committed in the world of sins and transgressions."

9:13 And We did this because Allah is not unjust to His servants,

9:18 punishing some of His servants for a crime

9:21 while forgiving a similar one from another,

9:24 or bearing the sin of a sinner upon someone other than the sinner.

9:28 But He does not punish anyone except for his own crime.

9:33 “And among mankind is he who worshippeth Allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith, but if a trial befalleth him, he falleth away utterly. He loseth both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss.” (22:11)

9:41 If good befalls him, we are reassured by it.

9:46 “And among mankind is he who worshippeth Allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith, but if a trial befalleth him, he falleth away utterly. He loseth both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss.” (22:11)

9:51 He has lost this world and the Hereafter.

9:55 That is the clear loss.

9:59 And among mankind is he who worships Allah on an uncertain footing.

10:04 If prosperity in life and similar worldly matters befalls him,

10:09 he is settled in Islam and remains firm upon it.

10:12 But if hardship in life and similar worldly matters befalls him,

10:17 he reverts, turning back to his former state of disbelief in Allah.

10:23 This one is defrauded of this world,

10:25 because he did not attain his desire from it,

10:28 and he has lost the Hereafter.

10:30 For he will be punished in it by Allah's blazing Fire.

10:34 And his loss of this world and the Hereafter

10:37 is the ruin that becomes clear to whoever thinks and ponders it.

10:42 “He calleth, beside Allah, unto that which hurteth him not nor benefiteth him. That is the far error.” (22:12)

10:50 That is the far-off misguidance.

10:56 And if a trial befalls this one who worships Allah on an uncertain footing,

11:02 he calls upon deities other than Allah, who will not harm him if he does not worship them in this world,

11:07 nor benefit him in the Hereafter if he worships them.

11:11 His reversion, calling upon these deities other than Allah,

11:16 is taking a path that is not straight,

11:19 and straying far from the path of Allah.

11:23 “He calleth unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefit; verily an evil patron and verily an evil friend!” (22:13)

11:30 “He calleth unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefit; verily an evil patron and verily an evil friend!” (22:13)

11:35 This one who has reverted calls upon deities

11:39 whose harm in the Hereafter is closer and faster to him than their benefit.

11:44 What a wretched relative this one is who worships Allah on an uncertain footing!

11:48 And what a wretched companion and associate!

11:52 Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow.

12:05 “Lo! Allah causeth those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow. Lo! Allah doth what He intendeth.” (22:14)

12:10 Indeed, Allah will admit those who believed in Allah and His Messenger

12:15 and acted upon what Allah commanded them

12:18 to gardens beneath which rivers flow.

12:22 “Lo! Allah causeth those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow. Lo! Allah doth what He intendeth.” (22:14)

12:25 So He gives whatever He wills of His honor to His obedient servants,

12:29 and whatever He wills of humiliation to His disobedient servants.

12:32 “Whoso is wont to think (through envy) that Allah will not give him (Muhammad) victory in the world and the Hereafter (and is enraged at the thought of his victory), let him stretch a rope up to the roof (of his dwelling), and let him hang himself. Then let him see whether his strategy dispelleth that whereat he rageth!.” (22:15)

12:42 “Whoso is wont to think (through envy) that Allah will not give him (Muhammad) victory in the world and the Hereafter (and is enraged at the thought of his victory), let him stretch a rope up to the roof (of his dwelling), and let him hang himself. Then let him see whether his strategy dispelleth that whereat he rageth!.” (22:15)

12:48 Then let him cut, and let him see.

12:52 Let him see if his stratagem will remove what angers him.

12:59 Whoever thought that Allah would not provide for Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his Ummah in this world,

13:07 and bestow upon them generously from His bounty therein,

13:10 and provide for them in the Hereafter from the bounty of His gifts and honor, thinking it is delayed,

13:17 let him extend a rope to the sky above him,

13:21 whether it be the ceiling of a house or something else,

13:24 then let him hang himself if he is angered by something Allah has decreed.

13:28 Let him see if his stratagem of hanging himself will remove what angers him in that way.

13:34 If that does not remove his anger,

13:36 until Allah brings relief from Him, and it is removed,

13:40 then similarly, his hastening of Allah's victory for Muhammad and his religion

13:45 will not delay what Allah has decreed from that beyond its appointed time,

13:49 nor will it hasten it before its time.

13:53 “Thus We reveal it as plain revelations, and verily Allah guideth whom He will.” (22:16)

14:04 And just as I have clarified to you My proofs against those who deny My ability to resurrect the dead after their annihilation,

14:13 and made them clear, O mankind,

14:16 so too have We sent down to Our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

14:21 this Qur'an as clear signs,

14:24 guiding whomever Allah wills to be guided to the truth.

14:28 And because Allah grants success to the right path and the way of truth to whomever He wills,

14:33 He sent down this Qur'an as clear verses.

14:38 “Lo! those who believe (this revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans and the Christians and the Magians and the idolaters - Lo! Allah will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Allah is Witness over all things.” (22:17)

14:53 “Lo! those who believe (this revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans and the Christians and the Magians and the idolaters - Lo! Allah will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Allah is Witness over all things.” (22:17)

14:58 “Lo! those who believe (this revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans and the Christians and the Magians and the idolaters - Lo! Allah will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Allah is Witness over all things.” (22:17)

15:04 The distinction between these hypocrites who worship Allah on an uncertain footing,

15:11 and those who associated partners with Allah and worshipped idols and statues,

15:15 and the Jews, the Sabians, and the Christians,

15:18 and the Magians who revered and served fire,

15:22 and those who believed in Allah and His Messengers, is with Allah.

15:27 And He will distinguish between them on the Day of Resurrection with just judgment.

15:32 And His judgment between them will be their entry into the Fire, all these groups,

15:37 and Paradise for the believers in Him and His Messengers.

15:41 Indeed, Allah is a witness over all things that these categories do,

15:45 and other things besides them, all of them.

15:49 A witness, nothing of which is hidden from Him.

15:54 “Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will.” (22:18)

16:00 “Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. 16:49 and whoever is on earth of creation, jinn and others,

16:53 and the sun, the moon, and the stars in the sky,

16:57 and the mountains, the trees, and the beasts on the earth,

17:01 and their prostration when it rises upon them and when it sets.

17:07 And many of the children of Adam prostrate,

17:10 and they are the believers in Allah.

17:12 And many of the children of Adam have deserved the punishment of Allah.

17:16 And whoever Allah humiliates of His creation, and makes him miserable,

17:20 then there is no one who can honor him with happiness to make him happy.

17:24 For all matters are in the hand of Allah.

17:27 Indeed, Allah does in His creation what He wills,

17:30 humiliating whomever He wills to humiliate,

17:33 and honoring whomever He wills to honor.
