0:12 Surah Al-Anbiya.

0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:22 And whoever among them says, "I am a god besides Allah."

0:29 “And one of them who should say: Lo! I am a god beside Him, that one We should repay with hell. Thus We Repay wrong-doers.” (21:29)

0:40 And whoever among the angels says,

0:43 "Indeed, I am a god besides Allah."

0:46 Then that one We will recompense with Hell.

0:48 And as We recompense whoever says, among the angels,

0:51 "Indeed, I am a god besides Allah," with Hell,

0:55 thus We recompense the unjust.

0:58 For he disbelieved in Allah and worshipped others besides Him.

1:03 “Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?” (21:30)

1:26 Have those who disbelieved not considered with the eyes of their hearts that the heavens and the earth were one mass,

1:32 and We separated them?

1:36 Rather, they were joined together.

1:42 So the heavens were a firmament from which no rain fell,

1:46 and the earth was a firmament from which no vegetation grew.

1:50 Then Allah split them apart.

1:53 And We made from water every living thing.

1:57 Then will they not believe?

2:00 And acknowledge the divinity of the One who did that, and single Him out for worship?

2:06 “And We have placed in the earth firm hills lest it quake with them, and We have placed therein ravines as roads that haply they may find their way.” (21:31)

2:23 Have these disbelievers not seen

2:25 that We made the earth a stable ground so that it would not sway with people?

2:31 And they could establish themselves firmly upon its surface.

2:34 And We made pathways in the earth so that they might be guided.

2:40 “And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents.” (21:32)

2:51 And We made the sky a protected ceiling, yet they turn away from its signs.

2:55 “And We have guarded it from every outcast devil,” (15:17)

2:59 And these polytheists turn away from the signs of the sky,

3:02 its sun, its moon, and its stars.

3:05 They turn away from contemplating them

3:08 and their indication of the singularity of their Creator.

3:12 “And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit.” (21:33)

3:18 Each is swimming in its own orbit.

3:25 It is Allah who created for you, O mankind, the night and the day,

3:29 as a favor from Him to you,

3:31 and as a sign of His immense dominion,

3:34 and that divinity belongs to Him alone, to the exclusion of all else.

3:38 And He created the sun and the moon as well,

3:40 all of them moving in their orbits.

3:45 “We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal!” (21:34)

3:52 Are they then immortal?

3:57 Every soul will taste death.

4:03 “Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned.” (21:35)

4:09 And to Us you will be returned.

4:15 We did not grant immortality to anyone from the children of Adam before you, O Muhammad, in this world, so We would grant it to you.

4:22 And it is inevitable that you will die, just as Our messengers before you died.

4:27 So are these polytheists, who disbelieve in their Lord, the ones who will be immortal in this world after you?

4:32 Rather, they are mortal in all circumstances, whether you live or die.

4:37 Every soul that is breathed into existence by His creation

4:40 will experience the pangs of death and drink its cup.

4:44 And We test you, O mankind, with hardship and with ease and abundance.

4:49 And to Us they will be returned.

4:51 Then they will be recompensed for their deeds, the good and the bad.

4:57 “And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? And they would deny all mention of the Beneficent.” (21:36)

5:16 And when those who disbelieve in Allah see you, O Muhammad, they take you only in mockery.

5:23 Some of them say to others:

5:25 "Is this the one who speaks ill of your gods and finds fault with them?"

5:30 And they marvel at your mention, O Muhammad, of their gods which neither harm nor benefit, with disdain.

5:36 Yet they are disbelievers in the Most Gracious, who created them and bestowed His favors upon them.

5:43 “Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten.” (21:37)

5:53 He created Adam in haste and with speed in that.

5:57 Because He hastened his creation at sunset,

6:01 in the last hour of the day of Friday.

6:04 I will show you, O you who are hasty, My signs, just as I showed them to those before you among the nations whom I destroyed.

6:12 So do not hasten your Lord.

6:14 For We will bring them to you and show them to you.

6:19 And they say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"

6:26 “If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!” (21:39)

6:35 “If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!” (21:39)

6:43 “If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!” (21:39)

6:50 And these hasty ones ask their Lord for signs and punishment.

6:55 "When will this that you promise us of punishment come to us?"

6:59 "If you are truthful in what you promise us of that."

7:04 If only these disbelievers who hasten [the punishment] knew what awaits them of tribulation

7:10 when the Fire will sear their faces.

7:13 They will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs, to push it away.

7:19 Nor will they have any helper to help them,

7:21 to rescue them at that time from Allah's punishment,

7:24 because they persisted in their disbelief in Allah.

7:30 “Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved.” (21:40)

7:46 This Fire that will sear the faces of the disbelievers will not come to them when it comes with their prior knowledge of its timing.

7:54 Rather, it will come upon them suddenly, and they will not perceive its arrival.

7:59 Then it will engulf them suddenly.

8:01 And they will not be able to ward it off from themselves when it surprises them.

8:06 Nor will they be granted respite for repentance.

8:10 For it is not a time for repentance.

8:13 Rather, it is a time for recompense and reward.

8:18 And indeed, messengers before you were mocked, but those who mocked them were overtaken by what they used to mock.

8:34 Allah, the Most High, says to His Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him:

8:39 "Indeed, messengers whom We sent before you were mocked."

8:43 "So what they used to mock befell those who mocked them, of tribulation and punishment."

8:51 These mockers will not escape being like their predecessors among the disbelieving nations,

8:57 and the punishment and wrath of Allah will descend upon them for their mockery of you, similar to what descended upon them.

9:14 Say, O Muhammad, to these who hasten [the punishment]:

9:18 "Who will protect you and guard you at night when you sleep?"

9:22 "And during the day when you move about, from the command of the Most Gracious, if it descends upon you?"

9:28 "And why do they not realize that there is no protector for them from Allah's command?"

9:33 Rather, they are heedless of the remembrance of their Lord and His proofs.

9:38 They turn away from the remembrance of their Lord and His proofs.

9:42 They do not ponder it, so they do not take heed.

9:45 “Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us.” (21:43)

9:52 “Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us.” (21:43)

10:02 Do these who hasten their Lord with punishment have deities besides Us

10:07 that can protect them from Us if We decide to inflict Our punishment upon them?

10:11 And how can their deities, whom they invoke besides Us, protect them from Us?

10:16 For they cannot even protect themselves.

10:19 Nor can they be granted protection from Us.

10:23 And if they are not granted protection,

10:26 and there is no one to prevent Allah's punishment from them, along with Allah's displeasure upon them,

10:31 then they have gained no good and have not been aided.

10:42 “Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors?” (21:44)

10:48 Have they not seen that We come to the earth and diminish it from its borders?

10:55 Then are they the victors?

11:00 What gods do these polytheists have that protect them from Us?

11:05 But We gave them enjoyment in this worldly life, and their fathers before them,

11:11 until their lives were prolonged, and they remained upon their disbelief.

11:16 So they forgot Our covenant and were ignorant of the extent of Our favor upon them.

11:20 Have these polytheists not seen

11:23 that We come to the earth and devastate it from its regions?

11:27 By Our overpowering its inhabitants, defeating them, expelling them from it, and killing them with swords.

11:33 So they may take heed from that and be warned.

11:37 Are these polytheists the victors, when they have seen Our overpowering?

11:41 That is not the case.

11:44 Rather, We are the victors.

12:04 Say, O Muhammad:

12:05 "I only warn you, O people, by the revelation of Allah, which He sends down to me from Him."

12:11 "And I warn you by His might."

12:14 But the disbeliever in Allah does not lend his inner ear

12:17 to the remembrance of what is in Allah's revelation of admonitions and reminders.

12:22 Rather, he turns away from taking heed and pondering it.

12:26 He is like the deaf person who does not hear what is said to him and therefore does not act upon it.

12:32 “And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers.” (21:46)

12:40 “And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers.” (21:46)

12:49 And if these who hasten [the punishment] afflict you, O Muhammad,

12:54 with a portion of your Lord's punishment due to their disbelief in you and their rejection of faith,

12:59 they will say, "Oh, woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers in our worship of idols and rivals."

13:06 "And we abandoned the worship of Allah, who created us and bestowed His favors upon us."

13:12 “And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners.” (21:47)

13:28 And Allah is sufficient as an Accountant.

13:34 And We will set up scales of justice for the people of the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be wronged in anything.

13:41 By punishing him for a sin he did not commit, or by withholding the reward for a deed he did.

13:47 And if what he has of good deeds or bad deeds,

13:52 weighs as much as a mustard seed, We will bring it forth and present it to him.

13:57 And Allah is sufficient as an Accountant for that reckoning.

14:01 For no one knows their deeds better than He.

14:04 And what has passed in this world, whether good or bad, from Us.

14:10 “And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion (of right and wrong) and a light and a Reminder for those who keep from evil,” (21:48)

14:22 And indeed, Allah distinguished between Moses and Aaron and Pharaoh with truth.

14:27 And as a reminder to those who fear Allah by obeying Him, fulfilling His commands, and avoiding His prohibitions.

14:34 “Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom).” (21:49)

14:44 We gave Moses and Aaron the reminder for the righteous,

14:48 those who fear their Lord unseen, lest He punish them in the Hereafter.

14:53 And they are from the Hour when the Day of Resurrection will come,

14:57 apprehensive that it will come upon them, and they will be returned to their Lord having fallen short of their obligations to Allah.

15:04 So He will punish them with a punishment they cannot bear.

15:10 “This is a blessed Reminder that we have revealed: Will ye then reject it?” (21:50)

15:23 And this Qur'an, which We have revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,

15:29 is a reminder for whoever remembers and an admonition for whoever takes heed.

15:33 Then are you, O people, deniers of this Book which We have revealed to Muhammad?
