They performed the obligatory prayers within their prescribed times and paid the obligatory zakat from their wealth

And they spent from it in the ways in which God commanded them to spend, in secret and openly in appearance

They repel the evil of people who wronged them by being kind to them

These are the ones to whom God will follow the abode of Paradise from their abode, which if they had not been believers, would have been in Hell

The Gardens of Eden will be entered by those who are righteous among their fathers, wives, and descendants

And the angels enter upon them from every door. Peace be upon you, for what you have been patient with. So, what a pleasant after-home

These will have gardens of abode without any hardship, into which these people and those who are righteous among their fathers, spouses, and offspring will enter

Their righteousness is their faith in God and their following His command and the command of His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him

The angels enter upon these people and say to them, “Peace be upon you, for your patience in obeying your Lord in this world.” So, what a pleasant afterlife.

And those who break God's covenant after its confirmation and sever it

And they sever what God has commanded to be joined, and they spread corruption on earth. For them is the curse, and for them is an evil abode

As for those who violate God’s covenant by disobeying God’s command and acting in disobedience to Him

After they had entrusted themselves to God to do what He had entrusted to them and to sever the mercy that God had commanded them to extend

And they cause corruption on earth by their actions that disobey God, so these people will be far from His mercy, and they will have what will harm them in the Hereafter.

God extends sustenance to whomever He wills and determines, and they rejoice in the life of this world, and the life of this world in the Hereafter is nothing but enjoyment

God extends His provision to whomever He pleases among His creation, and He grants power to whomever He pleases in His provision and livelihood.

And those who were granted sustenance rejoiced in spite of their disbelief in God and their disobedience because of what was granted to them in it

And the wealth, sustenance, and comfortable living given to those who obey Him in the Hereafter are not given to these people except a little enjoyment.

And those who disbelieve say, “If only a sign had not been sent down to him from his Lord.” Say, “Indeed, God sends astray whomever He wills and guides to Him whoever turns.”

And he says to you, O Muhammad, the polytheist of your people, shall I not send down to you a sign from your Lord? Then say, “Indeed, God sends astray from among you whom He wills, O people.”

So He will abandon him from believing in me and believing in what I have brought to him from my Lord, and He will guide him to Him who repents, so he will return to repentance, and He will enable him to follow me and believe me.

The error of those among you who go astray is not that a sign from my Lord has not been sent down to me, nor the guidance of those among you who are guided is that it has been revealed to me, but that is in the hand of God.

He enables whomever He wills among you to believe, and He abandons whomever He wills among you so that they do not believe

Those who believe and whose hearts are at peace in the remembrance of God. Indeed, it is in the remembrance of God that hearts are reassured

Those who believe and whose hearts find tranquility and find comfort in the remembrance of God. Indeed, in the remembrance of God do you find tranquility and the hearts of believers find comfort.

Those who believe and do righteous deeds, blessed are they and a good return

Those who believe and do righteous deeds, blessed are they, and blessed is the name of a tree in Paradise, and they will have a good turn

Thus We sent you into a nation before which nations had passed away, that you might recite to them what We revealed to you, while they disbelieved in the Most Merciful.

Say: He is my Lord, there is no god but Him, in Him I trust, and to Him I turn

Thus We sent you, O Muhammad, to a group of people who had previously passed away, groups similar to what they are in, so that you may convey to them what I sent you with to them.

And they deny the oneness of God. Say, “He is my Lord, there is no god but Him. In Him I trust, and to Him is my return and my return.”

Even if there is a Qur’an with which mountains were moved, or the earth was divided with it, or with which the dead were spoken, then the matter belongs entirely to God

Have not those who believed despaired that if God had willed, He could have guided all mankind?

And those who disbelieve will continue to be struck by disaster for what they have done, or will befall close to their homes until God’s promise comes

If there had been a Qur’an other than this Qur’an, the mountains would have been moved with it, it would have moved with this Qur’an, or the earth would have been cut with it, it would have been cut with this, or the dead would have been spoken with, it would have been spoken with this.

But he did not do that with a Qur’an before this Qur’an, so he should do it with this. Rather, the matter is entirely up to him and in his hand

Have not those who believed realized that if God had willed, He could have guided all people to believe in Him without finding a sign?

O Muhammad, those who disbelieved among your people will continue to be struck by a calamity due to their disbelief, which is what will strike them with affliction, torment, and vengeance.

Or you, Muhammad, will descend near their home with your army and companions until the promise of God that He promised you regarding them comes true

God has fulfilled for you, O Muhammad, what He promised you of appearing over them, because He does not break His promise

Messengers before you were ridiculed, but you gave recompense to those who disbelieved, then you seized them, so what was the punishment?

O Muhammad, if these polytheists mock you and ask you for verses in denial of them, then be patient with their harm to you.

Nations before you mocked My Messengers, so I prolonged their term, then inflicted upon them My torment and vengeance.

So look at how I punished them when I punished them. Did I not make them an example for those with understanding?

Is he who is responsible for every soul for what it has earned? And they have made partners with God

Say: Your superiority to them, or are you informing him of something he does not know on earth, or by what is apparent from what you say?

Rather, their plotting has been pleasing to those who disbelieve and have turned away from the path. And whoever God leads astray, he has no guide

Is the Lord, who is standing by, preserving the livelihoods of all creation?

He knows them and what they earn from their deeds, like someone who is lost and neither hears nor sees

And they appointed partners for me from among my creation. Tell them, O Muhammad, name these whom you have associated with

In worshiping God, if they say they are gods, they have lied, because there is no god but the One

He has no partner. Would you tell him that there are gods on earth and there is no god other than Him on earth?

Neither in the sky nor by what is apparently heard from the saying, but in reality it is false and not true

And God prevents them from His path because of their disbelief in Him, and whoever God leads astray from attaining the truth

By letting him down, he has no one to guide him due to his affliction

They have a torment in this worldly life, but the torment of the Hereafter is more severe

For those infidels, there is a torment in this worldly life with death and captivity

And the calamities that God afflicts them with, and God’s torture of them in the Hereafter
