0:22 “Verily in Joseph and his brethren are signs (of Allah's Sovereignty) for the inquiring.” (12:7)

0:31 Truly, in Yusuf and his eleven brothers,

0:35 there were signs and lessons for those who inquire about their story.

0:40 “When they said: Verily Joseph and his brother are dearer to our father than we are, many though we be. Lo! our father is in plain aberration.” (12:8)

1:03 When the brothers of Yusuf said:

6:54 and Allah's help is sought against the false claims you describe."

7:00 And there came a caravan, and they sent their water-drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said: "O good news! Here is a boy!" And they concealed him as merchandise, and Allah is All-Knowing of what they do.

7:23 And passersby among the travelers came, and they sent their water-drawer who goes to fetch water from the watering place.

7:30 He lowered his bucket into the well, and Yusuf clung to it and came out.

7:36 The one who dropped the bucket said: "O good news! Here is a boy!" And the water-drawer, along with his companions from the caravan, concealed Yusuf as merchandise.

7:47 Yusuf's affair was that they bought him out of fear that others would demand a share in him, and they said to them: "He is merchandise placed with us by the people of the water source."

7:59 And Allah is All-Knowing of what the sellers and buyers of Yusuf were doing in his affair; nothing of it was hidden from Him,

8:08 but He chose not to alter that so that His decree, which was previously decreed in His knowledge, would be fulfilled concerning him and them.

8:16 “And they sold him for a low price, a number of silver coins; and they attached no value to him.” (12:20)

8:29 And Yusuf's brothers sold Yusuf for a reduced, unlawful price;

8:36 they sold him for a few counted dirhams, unweighed and paltry, because of their indifference toward him.

8:43 And Yusuf's brothers were among those who placed no value on Yusuf, knowing neither his honor with Allah nor his high status with Him.

8:54 “And he of Egypt who purchased him said unto his wife: Receive him honourably. Perchance he may prove useful to us or we may adopt him as a son. Thus we established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah was predominant in His career, but most of mankind know not.” (12:21)

9:49 And just as We saved Yusuf from the hands of his brothers and directed him to honor and high standing with the Al-'Aziz of Egypt,

9:57 likewise We established him in the land, that We might place him over its storehouses,

10:03 and that We might teach Yusuf the interpretation of dreams. Allah is predominant over Yusuf's affair, managing, directing, and protecting him,

10:14 but most people—those who were indifferent to Yusuf and sold him for a despicable price, as well as those of Egypt among whom he lived when he was sold—

10:26 do not know what Allah is doing with Yusuf and to what outcome Yusuf's affair is headed.

10:33 “And And when he reached his prime We gave him wisdom and knowledge. Thus We reward the good.” (12:22)

10:45 And when Yusuf reached full maturity and strength in his youth, We gave him at that time sound judgment and knowledge.

10:54 And just as We rewarded Yusuf and granted him judgment and knowledge, thus We reward those who excel in good deeds, obeying My command and refraining from the sins I prohibited them from committing.

11:09 “And she, in whose house he was, asked of him an evil act. She bolted the doors and said: Come! He said: I seek refuge in Allah! Lo! he is my lord, who hath treated me honourably. Lo! wrong-doers never prosper.” (12:23)

11:38 And the wife of the Al-'Aziz sought to seduce Yusuf from himself, desiring him to commit adultery with her. She locked the doors of the rooms upon herself and Yusuf and said: "Come to me, draw near, and approach."

11:53 Yusuf said: "I seek refuge in Allah from that to which you invite me, and I seek His protection from it. Indeed, your master and husband, my lord, has made my stay comfortable, treated me honorably, and trusted me, so I will not betray him. Truly, the wrongdoers who commit what they have no right to do will never succeed."

12:14 “She verily desired him, and he would have desired her if it had not been that he saw the argument of his Lord. Thus it was, that We might ward off from him evil and lewdness. Lo! he was of Our chosen slaves.” (12:24)

12:38 It is mentioned that when the wife of the Al-'Aziz sought to seduce Yusuf, she began recalling to him his own charms to entice him toward her. Yusuf experienced a passing impulse regarding the woman—which is a person's inner thought about committing an act without actually acting upon it.

12:56 Indeed, Yusuf would have acted had he not seen a sign from the signs of his Lord that restrained him from committing the indecency he felt an impulse toward, just as We showed Yusuf Our proof to restrain him from the indecency he inclined toward.

13:12 Likewise, in every situation where an inner thought arises toward what does not please Us, We cause a restraining deterrent to repel it from him, so that We may avert from him the commission of what We have forbidden and the act of unlawful intercourse. Indeed, Yusuf is among Our chosen servants whom We purified for Ourselves and selected for Our prophethood and messengership.

13:43 And Yusuf and the wife of the Al-'Aziz raced to the door of the house: Yusuf to flee from committing indecency, and the woman aiming to compel him to commit it.

14:14 She pursued Yusuf to satisfy her desire with him, grabbing his shirt and pulling him toward her to prevent him from leaving through the door, tearing it from behind; and they met her husband right at the door.

14:30 The wife of the Al-'Aziz, fearing that her husband might accuse her of immorality, said to him: "What is the recompense for a man who intended evil against your wife, except that he be imprisoned or suffer a painful punishment?"

14:45 “(Joseph) said: She it was who asked of me an evil act. And a witness of her own folk testified: If his shirt is torn from before, then she speaketh truth and he is of the liars.” (12:26)

15:07 “And if his shirt is torn from behind, then she hath lied and he is of the truthful.” (12:27)

15:18 “So when he saw his shirt torn from behind, he said: Lo! this is of the guile of you women. Lo! the guile of you is very great.” (12:28)

15:36 Yusuf said: "It was not I who sought to seduce her; rather, she sought to seduce me from myself." And a witness from her household testified: "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has spoken the truth, and he is of the liars;

15:52 because the one fleeing, when pursued, is only caught from behind. But if his shirt is torn from behind, then she has lied, and he is of the truthful."

16:04 That is because a man does not approach a woman from behind. So when the woman's husband saw his shirt torn from behind, he knew it was part of her cunning scheme.

16:15 The woman's husband said—and it is also said that the witness was the speaker: "Indeed, this act is part of women's slyness; truly, your cunning is immense."

16:28 “O Joseph! Turn away from this, and thou, (O woman), ask forgiveness for thy sin. Lo! thou art of the faulty.” (12:29)

16:44 "O Yusuf, turn away from mentioning what transpired from her toward you regarding her attempt to seduce you, and do not speak of it to anyone.

16:52 And you, woman, ask forgiveness from your husband for your sin, and ask him not to punish you for the sin you committed, for you were indeed among the sinful in attempting to seduce Yusuf from himself."
