0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:23 “But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean!” (27:56)

0:33 "They are a people who keep themselves pure."

0:39 The people of Lot had no answer for him when he forbade them, other than saying to one another:

0:46 "Expel the family of Lot from your city; they are a people who keep themselves pure from the acts of sodomy that we commit."

0:56 “Then We saved him and his household save his wife; We destined her to be of those who stayed behind.” (27:57)

1:04 "And We rained upon them a rain; and evil was the rain of those who were warned."

1:14 We saved Lot and his family, except for his wife, from Our punishment when We brought it upon them.

1:21 For His wife, We decreed that she would be among those who remained behind.

1:26 And We rained upon them from the sky stones of baked clay.

1:31 Evil was that rain for the people whom Allah warned of His punishment for their disobedience toward Him.

1:53 Say, O Muhammad, "Praise be to Allah for His blessings upon us."

1:58 And [praise be to Him for] the security from His punishment for those whom He chose for His Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him.

2:05 He made them his Companions and his ministers in the religion.

2:09 Say, O Muhammad, to those for whom We have made their deeds seem fair:

2:14 Is Allah, who bestowed upon His allies this grace which He has recounted to you in this Surah, better?

2:21 Or is He who destroyed His enemies with that by which He destroyed them [better]?

2:25 Is it better than the idols you associate with Him, which neither benefit nor harm you?

2:56 “Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him)!” (27:60)

3:03 Is there a deity with Allah? Rather, they are a people who deviate from the truth.

3:12 Is the worship of what you worship of your idols, which neither harm nor benefit, better?

3:19 Or is the worship of the One who created the heavens and the earth [better]?

3:23 And who sent down for you rain from the sky?

3:26 It is also possible that this refers to the springs He caused to gush forth in the earth.

3:31 With the water He sent down from the sky, We caused to grow gardens of delightful beauty.

3:37 For you would not have had the ability—had He not sent down water for you from the sky—

3:42 To cause the trees of these gardens to grow.

3:47 Is there a deity with Allah who created that and sent down water from the sky?

3:52 And with it, He caused gardens to grow for you.

3:55 Rather, these polytheists are a people who deviate from the truth.

3:59 And they transgress against it, doing so intentionally.

4:03 “Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!” (27:61)

4:15 And He set firm mountains upon it, and He placed a barrier between the two seas.

4:21 “Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!” (27:61)

4:28 Is the worship of what you associate with your Lord, O people, better?

4:34 Or is He who made the earth a stable place for you to dwell upon, so that it does not shake with you?

4:40 And He placed rivers within it, and He set firm mountains upon it—which are the stabilizers of the earth.

4:47 And He placed a barrier between the fresh and the salty seas, so that one does not corrupt the other.

4:54 Is there a deity with Allah who did these things, that you should associate him in your worship of Him?

5:01 Rather, most of these polytheists do not know the extent of Allah’s greatness.

5:06 “Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect!” (27:62)

5:33 Or is what you associate with Allah better, or He who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil that has befallen him?

5:42 And who makes you successors in the earth, with living generations succeeding those who came before them?

5:48 Is there a deity with Allah besides Him who does these things? Yet you associate partners with Allah because you rarely remember or take heed of His proofs.

6:01 Or who guides you through the darkness of the land and the sea, and who sends the winds as heralds before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? Exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.

6:26 Or is what you associate with Allah better, or He who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea when you lose your way and the paths become obscure to you?

6:39 And He who sends the winds before the rain that brings the dead earth to life—is there a deity with Allah besides Him who does any of this for you, that you should worship him?

6:50 To Allah belongs the loftiness and transcendence above the polytheism you commit and the worship of what you worship alongside Him.

6:58 “Is not He (best) Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and Who provideth for you from the heaven and the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Say: Bring your proof, if ye are truthful!” (27:64)

7:20 Or is what you associate, O people, better, or He who originates creation and brings it forth from nothing, then causes it to die when He wills, then restores it when He desires?

7:33 And He who provides for you from the sky and the earth, sending down rain and causing plants to grow for your sustenance—is there a deity with Allah besides Him who does that?

7:46 And if they claim that a deity other than Allah does that, or any part of it, then say to them, O Muhammad, "Produce your proof that something other than Allah does that, if you are truthful in your claim."

8:01 “Say (O Muhammad): None in the heavens and the earth knoweth the Unseen save Allah; and they know not when they will be raised (again).” (27:65)

8:14 Say, O Muhammad, to those among the polytheists who ask you about the Hour: "None in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen—which Allah has kept to Himself—except Allah."

8:26 And none of His creation in the heavens and the earth know when they will be resurrected from their graves for the establishment of the Hour.

8:34 “Nay, but doth their knowledge reach to the Hereafter? Nay, for they are in doubt concerning it. Nay, for they cannot see it.” (27:66)

8:48 And they do not perceive when they will be resurrected; rather, their knowledge of the Hereafter has been cut off. Indeed, knowledge of it has escaped them, and they have gone astray, failing to reach or grasp it.

9:00 Rather, these polytheists are in doubt regarding its occurrence; they do not believe in it or affirm it. Indeed, they are blind to the knowledge of its occurrence.

9:11 “Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)?” (27:67)

9:22 “We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old.” (27:68)

9:32 Those who disbelieved in Allah say, "Shall we be brought out from our graves alive, in our original form, after we have died and become dust within them?"

9:45 "We have been promised this before—we and our forefathers—but we have seen no reality to it."

9:54 They say, "This promise is nothing but the fables of the ancients, which they wrote down in their books, affirmed therein, and spoke of without any truth to it."

10:06 Say, "Travel through the earth and observe how was the end of the criminals." And do not grieve over them, and do not be in distress from what they plot.

10:22 Say, O Muhammad, to these deniers: "Travel through the earth and look at the dwellings of those who came before you—the deniers of Allah’s messengers—and their habitations; how was it?"

10:36 Did Allah not destroy them and annihilate their people for their denial of His messengers? For that was the consequence of their criminality.

10:44 And that is the Sunnah of your Lord regarding all who follow their path. And do not grieve, O Muhammad, over the turning away of these polytheists from you, and let not your chest be constricted by their plotting against you, for Allah is your supporter against them and will destroy them by the sword.

11:03 And they say, "When will this promise be, if you are truthful?"

11:10 “Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you.” (27:72)

11:17 The polytheists of your people say, O Muhammad, "When will this promise of punishment occur, if you are truthful in what you threaten us with?" Say to them, O Muhammad, "Perhaps some of what you are hastening of Allah’s punishment has drawn near to you."

11:38 “Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.” (27:73)

11:49 “Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim.” (27:74)

11:58 And your Lord, O Muhammad, is full of bounty toward the people by delaying their punishment, and He is full of grace toward them.

12:08 But most of them do not thank Him for that, and they associate others with Him in worship.

12:14 And your Lord knows the secrets of the breasts of His creation, the hidden things of their souls, and the openness of their affairs.

12:22 And He is the One who records them, so that He may reward all of them—the good with goodness, and the evil with its due recompense.

12:30 “And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record.” (27:75)

12:42 And there is no hidden secret that is absent from sight in the heavens and the earth but that it is in the Clear Book, in which our Lord has established everything that will be until the Day of Resurrection.

12:56 It makes clear to whoever looks at it and reads what is in it of what our Lord has established.

13:01 “Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ.” (27:76)

13:12 Indeed, this Qur'an, which I have revealed to you, O Muhammad, relates to the Children of Israel the truth regarding most of the things in which they differed.

13:24 This is like that which they differed over regarding the matter of Jesus; so follow it and affirm what is in it, for it guides you to the path of righteousness.

13:35 And it is guidance and mercy for the believers. Your Lord will judge between them by His decree, and He is the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

13:51 Indeed, this Qur'an is a clarification from Allah, by which He has made clear the truth regarding the matters of their religion in which His creation differed.

14:01 And it is a mercy for those who believe in it and act according to what is in it. Your Lord will judge between the differing parties of the Children of Israel by His decree regarding them.

14:11 He will take retribution from the one who follows falsehood and reward the one who does good. Your Lord is the Almighty in His retribution against the one who follows falsehood among them and others, and the All-Knowing of the righteous doer of good among them and others.

14:26 “Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth.” (27:79)

14:34 So entrust your affairs to Allah, O Muhammad, for you are upon the clear truth for anyone who contemplates it and thinks with reason. So let not the denial of those who deny you grieve you.

14:47 Indeed, you cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, fleeing.

14:58 And you are not the guide for the blind away from their misguidance. You can only make those hear who believe in Our signs, for they are those who submit.

15:13 Indeed, you, O Muhammad, cannot make understand the truth one whom Allah has sealed his heart, causing him to die.

15:21 And you cannot make hear that one whom Allah has made deaf to hearing, when they turn away, refusing to listen to the truth or contemplate it.

15:33 You are not, O Muhammad, the guide for those who are blind to the truth, away from their misguidance.

15:38 You cannot make anyone understand the truth and grasp it except those who believe in Our signs, for they are the ones who hear what you say and contemplate it.
