It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammar
0:12
Surat Yusuf
0:17
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:22
Lord, you have given me the kingdom
0:26
And you taught me how to interpret hadiths
0:31
Creator of the heavens and the earth, you are my guardian in this world and the hereafter
0:39
Take me to death as a Muslim and join me with the righteous
0:47
Youssef said
0:49
Lord, you have come to me from the king of Egypt
0:52
And you taught me the phrase “vision.”
0:56
O Creator of the heavens and the earth and its Creator
1:00
You are my protector in this world over those who are hostile to me and wish me harm
1:05
And follow me in the afterlife with your grace and mercy
1:09
Take me to you as a Muslim
1:12
And join me in favor of the fathers of Abraham and Isaac
1:16
And before them were your prophets and messengers
1:20
This is from the masters of the unseen that We reveal to you
1:28
And I was not with them when they made up their mind while plotting
1:36
This is the news I told you
1:40
From the news of the unseen that you have not seen
1:43
But we reveal it to you
1:46
Let us strengthen your heart with Him
1:48
I was not present with my brothers Joseph
1:52
Their opinions agreed that they would throw Joseph into the pit
1:57
This is their cunning
2:00
This is so that you may be patient with the harm that has befallen you from your people in the name of God
2:05
And you know that those before you were messengers of God
2:09
Because they were patient with what befell them
2:11
They won the victory and gained power in the country
2:16
And how many people would there be, even if you were guarded by believers
2:24
And how many polytheists your people are, O Muhammad
2:27
Even if you make sure that they believe in you
2:30
With your friends and followers
2:34
And whatever reward you ask them for
2:38
It is nothing but a reminder to the worlds
2:44
O Muhammad, do not ask those who deny your prophecy
2:48
Of reward and reward from them
2:51
Rather, your reward and the reward for your work depend on God
2:55
What is this that your Lord has sent you with, O Muhammad?
2:58
Of prophecy and message
3:00
Only a sermon and a reminder to the worlds
3:04
To learn and remember him
3:07
And there is no sign in the heavens and the earth
3:13
They pass by it while turning away from it
3:22
Most of them do not believe in God
3:26
Except they are polytheists
3:31
How many examples and arguments there are in the heavens and the earth
3:35
Such as the sun, moon, stars, and so on
3:39
Like mountains, seas, plants, and so on
3:43
They see it and pass by it, turning away from it
3:47
They are not considered
3:49
They do not think about it and what it indicates about the monotheism of its Lord
3:55
Most of these people acknowledge that God is their Creator and Sustainer
4:00
And the Creator of everything
4:02
Except that they are polytheists in their worship of idols and idols
4:07
And take them as lords other than Him
4:12
Do they feel secure that a cloud of God’s punishment will come upon them?
4:18
Or the Hour will come to them suddenly
4:25
And they do not feel
4:28
Are those who do not acknowledge that God is their Lord more secure?
4:34
A cover covering them from God’s punishment and torment for their polytheism in God
4:40
Or the Resurrection will come to them suddenly while they persist in their polytheism
4:45
They do not know of its coming and resurrection
4:49
Say: This is my way, I pray to God
4:56
I and those who follow me have insight
5:01
Glory be to God, and I am not of the polytheists
5:07
Say, Muhammad
5:09
This is the call I am calling for
5:12
My method and my call to the unity of God and sincerity in worshiping Him
5:17
With insight and certainty, knowledge from me
5:21
He also calls for the insight of those who follow me and believe me
5:26
And his disdain for God to have a partner in His kingdom
5:31
I am innocent of those who associate polytheism with him
5:34
I am not one of them and they are not one of me
5:37
We did not send before you except men to whom We inspired from the people of the towns
5:48
Did they not travel through the land and see what was the end of those before them?
5:57
And the abode of the Hereafter is better for those who fear
6:02
Do you not understand?
6:06
O Muhammad, We did not send before you except men to whom We revealed Our verses from the people of the cities
6:14
Without the people of the desert
6:16
O Muhammad, did these polytheists not walk on earth?
6:21
So they will see what was the end of those before them when they denied our Messenger
6:27
Did We not inflict Our punishment upon them and destroy them thereby?
6:31
We save our Messenger and our followers from it
6:34
They think about it and consider it
6:37
This is what we did to the people of our state and our subjects
6:41
If Our punishment comes down, We will save them from it
6:46
And what is in the Hereafter is better for them
6:49
Do these polytheists not understand the truth of what we say to them and tell them?
6:56
Even if the messengers became desperate and thought they had lied
7:04
And they thought that they had lied. Our victory came to them
7:13
Our help came to them, and we saved whomever we wished
7:20
Our punishment will not be turned away from the criminal people
7:26
Even if the messengers we sent to them despaired of believing in God
7:34
And they believe them in what they have been given from God
7:38
And those whom We sent to them thought they were lying nations
7:43
The messengers we sent
7:46
They lied to them about what they had told them about God and His promise to them
7:51
So we defeated them
7:53
So we will save whomever we please from among our messengers and those who believe in us when our victory comes
8:01
Our punishment and oppression will not be returned to those of the disbelievers who committed crimes
8:07
And they differed from His messengers and what they were given
8:11
Their stories are a lesson for those with understanding
8:19
It was not a fabricated hadith, but rather a confirmation of what was before him
8:27
But believing what is in his hands and detailing everything is calm
8:36
This is guidance and mercy for people who believe
8:43
The stories of Joseph and his brothers were an example for the people of Hajj and intellectuals to take into consideration
8:53
This statement was not a fabricated and invented statement
8:57
But it is the confirmation of what is before him from the books of God that He sent down before him to his prophets
9:05
Such as the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms
9:08
He believes all of this and bears witness to it that it is all true from God
9:14
It also details everything that people need
9:19
From explaining God’s commands and prohibitions, what is permissible and what is forbidden
9:24
It is the clarification of His command and guidance to those who are ignorant of the path of truth, so they are blind
9:30
If he follows it, be guided by it from his misguidance
9:34
It is also a mercy for those who believe in Him
9:37
It saves him from God's wrath and painful torment and grants him paradise
9:43
For people who believe in the Qur’an and in the promises and threats of God that it contains
9:50
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
