0:23 “If ye be on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a pledge in hand (shall suffice). And if one of you entrusteth to another let him who is trusted deliver up that which is entrusted to him (according to the pact between them) and let him observe his duty to Allah his Lord. Hide not testimony. He who hideth it, verily his heart is sinful. Allah is Aware of what ye do.” (2:283)

1:10 If you find no one to write down for you the contract of debt that you have incurred for a specified term,

1:17 Then secure your debts by taking pledges into your possession,

1:21 So that they may serve as security for your wealth.

1:24 But if the debtor is deemed trustworthy by the creditor,

1:27 And the creditor takes no pledge from him,

1:29 Then let the debtor fear Allah, his Lord, concerning his companion's debt upon him, lest he deny it

1:35 Or attempt to wrongfully take it away,

1:37 Thereby subjecting himself to an unavoidable punishment from Allah.

1:41 And let him faithfully pay back the debt with which he was entrusted.

1:44 And do not conceal your testimony before the judges, O witnesses, after having witnessed it.

1:50 For whoever conceals his testimony, his heart is wicked and depraved,

1:55 Having earned through concealing it disobedience to Allah.

1:59 And Allah, concerning whatever you do regarding your testimony—

2:02 Whether in bearing it properly and giving it truthfully, or in concealing it—

2:06 And concerning all other hidden and manifest deeds of yours,

2:11 Is Fully Aware, keeping precise account of it all against you to recompense you fully for it.

2:16 "To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth."

2:21 "And whether you disclose what is within yourselves or conceal it,"

2:27 "Allah will bring you to account for it;"

2:35 “Unto Allah (belongeth) whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; and whether ye make known what is in your minds or hide it, Allah will bring you to account for it. He will forgive whom He will and He will punish whom He will. Allah is Able to do all things.” (2:284)

2:44 "And Allah is over all things Competent."

2:51 To Allah belongs the absolute dominion of all that is in the heavens and the earth, both great and small,

2:57 To Him belongs the disposal of all things, and in His Hand lies their direction and turning.

3:02 And whether you openly display what lies within you regarding testimony—in denial and rejection—

3:07 Or conceal that, harboring it secretly within yourselves,

3:11 Along with all other evil deeds of yours, Allah will surely call you to account for it,

3:16 Punishing whom He wills among the wrongdoers for their evil deeds,

3:20 And forgiving whom He wills among the wrongdoers.

3:24 And whether you disclose what is within yourselves, O people, showing it openly,

3:29 Or conceal it so that your souls secretly harbor it,

3:32 Allah will bring you to account for it,

3:34 Whereby He will make the believer among you recognize His bounty through His pardon and forgiveness toward him,

3:39 And so He will forgive him for it;

3:41 While He will punish the hypocrite among you for the doubt that his soul harbored

3:45 Concerning the oneness of his Creator and the prophethood of His prophets.

3:50 And Allah, Mighty and Majestic, over pardoning what a believer's soul has kept hidden,

3:54 And over punishing the disbeliever,

3:56 And over all things besides, is fully Competent.

3:59 “The messenger believeth in that which hath been revealed unto him from his Lord and (so do) believers. Each one believeth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His messengers - We make no distinction between any of His messengers - and they say: We hear, and we obey. (Grant us) Thy forgiveness, our Lord. Unto Thee is the journeying.” (2:285)

4:32 The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, believed,

4:35 Affirmatory of the Book that was revealed to him from his Lord,

4:40 And the believers likewise believed alongside their Prophet in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers,

4:46 Saying: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers."

4:51 And all the believers declared:

4:54 "We have heard the words of our Lord and His command to us in all that He has enjoined upon us,

4:58 As well as His prohibition regarding all that He has forbidden to us;

5:01 And we have obeyed our Lord in the obligatory duties He has imposed upon us, submitting wholeheartedly to Him."

5:06 And they said: "Forgive us, our Lord; we plead for Your pardon!

5:10 And to You alone, our Lord, is our final return and destination,

5:14 So forgive us our sins."

5:17 “Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.” (2:286)

6:10 Allah does not burden any soul with worship beyond its capacity,

6:15 Nor does He place distress upon it or exhaust it,

6:19 Such that He would take it to task for a fleeting inclination if it merely contemplates it,

6:22 Nor for a misgiving if it crosses its mind,

6:25 Nor for a passing thought if it occurs to its heart.

6:29 For every soul is the reward of the good it has earned and performed,

6:32 And against every soul is the consequence of the evil it has committed.

6:36 "Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget anything

6:39 That You made an obligation upon us to perform, yet we failed to do it;

6:42 Or if we err by doing something You forbade us to do,

6:46 Committing it without any intention to disobey You,

6:51 But solely out of our ignorance and mistake."

6:55 "Our Lord, do not lay upon us a burdensome covenant

6:57 Whereby we become incapable of upholding it and powerless to bear it,

7:01 Just as You laid it upon the Jews and the Christians,

7:04 Who were charged with demanding duties and bound by solemn oaths and covenants,

7:09 Yet failed to uphold them and were promptly seized with punishment."

7:13 And say as well: "Our Lord, do not burden us with deeds

7:17 That we lack the strength to carry out

7:20 Due to the heaviness of their load upon us.

7:22 And pardon our shortcomings in fulfilling some of the obligations You commanded us to perform,

7:27 And conceal any misstep we may have committed in what is between us and You,

7:32 Neither uncovering it nor humiliating us by exposing it;

7:36 And envelop us in mercy from You by which You save us from Your punishment.

7:41 You are our Guardian through Your support,

7:43 For we are believers in You and obedient to what You have commanded and forbidden us;

7:48 And You are ever loyal to those who obey You.

7:51 So grant us victory, since we are Your party, over the disbelieving people who have denied Your oneness."
