0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:23 Indeed, He commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives.

0:32 And giving to relatives.

0:35 “Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.” (16:90)

0:41 He admonishes you so that you may take heed.

0:47 Indeed, Allah commands fairness in this Book.

0:50 And excellence through patience in obeying Him during times of hardship and ease.

0:55 Which is the fulfillment of His obligatory duties.

0:57 And He commands giving to relatives.

1:00 The right that Allah has made mandatory due to kinship and blood ties.

1:04 And He forbids adultery.

1:06 And transgression born of arrogance and injustice.

1:09 Your Lord reminds you, O people.

1:12 So that you may remember, turn back to His commands and prohibitions.

1:15 And recognize the truth for those to whom it belongs.

1:19 “Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do.” (16:91)

1:23 “Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do.” (16:91)

2:27 “And be not like unto her who unravelleth the thread, after she hath made it strong, to thin filaments, making your oaths a deceit between you because of a nation being more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only trieth you thereby, and He verily will explain to you on the Day of Resurrection that wherein ye differed.” (16:92)

3:22 You make the oaths by which you swear.

3:26 Claiming that you are fulfilling the covenant to those with whom you have contracted.

3:29 A deception and a ruse, so that they may trust you.

3:33 While you are harboring treachery toward them.

3:35 And the abandonment of fulfilling the covenant.

3:38 Because others are more numerous than them.

3:42 Allah is only testing you by His command to you.

3:45 To fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have made a pledge.

3:48 So that the obedient among you may be distinguished from the disobedient who violates His command and prohibition.

3:54 And your Lord will surely make clear to you, O people, on the Day of Resurrection when you arrive before Him.

4:00 By rewarding each group among you for their deeds in this world.

4:05 The righteous among you for their righteousness.

4:07 And the evildoer for their evil.

4:10 And that over which you used to differ in the world.

4:14 For the believer used to acknowledge the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of His Prophet.

4:19 And the disbeliever used to deny all of that.

4:22 That is why they differed in the world.

4:44 And had your Lord willed, O people.

4:47 He would have been gentle with you through guidance from Him.

4:50 And you would have all become one community, neither differing nor splitting.

4:57 But He caused you to differ.

5:00 And made you into various religious communities.

5:02 By granting success to these to believe in Him and live.

5:07 And despite that, you must be of various religious communities.

5:11 By granting success to these to believe in Him and act in obedience to Him.

5:16 And He abandoned those, depriving them of His success.

5:20 And Allah will surely ask you all on the Day of Resurrection.

5:23 About what you used to do in the world.

5:26 Regarding what He commanded you and forbade you.

5:28 Then He will surely reward you with a recompense.

5:32 The obedient among you for their obedience.

5:34 And the disobedient to Him for their disobedience.

5:41 So you will not learn among yourselves.

5:44 “Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom.” (16:94)

5:53 And you will taste evil because you hindered.

6:32 Because you tempted those who wanted to believe in Allah.

6:36 And His Messenger, away from the faith.

6:38 And for you is a great punishment in the Hereafter.

6:41 And that is the Fire of Hell.

6:45 “And purchase not a small gain at the price of Allah's covenant. Lo! that which Allah hath is better for you, if ye did but know.” (16:95)

6:56 If you only knew.

7:03 And do not break your covenants, O people.

7:06 Seeking by that breaking a small worldly gain.

7:11 But fulfill the covenant of Allah.

7:13 Allah will reward you for fulfilling it.

7:16 For what is with Allah in terms of reward is better for you.

7:21 If you only knew the superiority of what is between the two compensations.

7:24 One of which is the small price.

7:27 And the other is the abundant reward.

7:31 What you have will perish.

7:35 “That which ye have wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily We shall pay those who are steadfast a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.” (16:96)

7:40 And We will surely reward those who were patient with their recompense.

7:45 According to the best of what they used to do.

7:51 What you have, O people.

7:53 Of what you possess in this world.

7:55 Even if it is much.

7:57 Is fleeting and perishing.

7:59 And what is with Allah for those who fulfilled their covenant.

8:02 And obeyed Him of the good things is lasting.

8:05 And Allah will surely reward those who were patient with their recompense.

8:08 On the Day of Resurrection for their patience upon it.

8:11 And their hastening toward His pleasure.

8:13 According to the best of what they used to do.

8:15 Of deeds, not the worst of them.

8:18 And Allah will surely forgive them their evil deeds.

8:21 By His grace.

8:23 Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female.

8:29 While he is a believer.

8:34 We will surely grant him a good life.

8:39 And We will surely reward them their recompense.

8:43 According to the best of what they used to do.

8:49 Whoever acts in obedience to Allah, whether male or female.

8:53 And is a believer in the reward of Allah.

8:55 We will surely grant him a good life through contentment.

9:00 This is because whoever Allah makes content with the provision He has allotted him.

9:04 Will not tire himself excessively for the world.

9:07 And his life will not be troubled therein.

9:10 And We will surely reward them their recompense according to the best of what they used to do in the Hereafter.

9:15 “And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.” (16:98)

9:24 “Lo! he hath no power over those who believe and put trust in their Lord.” (16:99)

9:30 And upon their Lord they rely.

9:34 “His power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah).” (16:100)

9:40 Upon those who take Him as their ally.

9:43 “His power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah).” (16:100)

9:49 And when you, O Muhammad, read the Qur'an.

9:54 “And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.” (16:98)

9:58 Indeed, Satan has no authority over those who believe in Allah and His Messenger.

10:04 And upon their Lord they rely in whatever befalls them of their important affairs.

10:10 His authority is only over those who worship him.

10:13 And those who associate others with Allah.

10:18 “And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.” (16:101)

10:33 But most of them do not know.

10:39 And when We abrogate the ruling of a verse.

10:42 And replace it with another ruling in its place.

10:45 And Allah is most knowing of what is best for His creation in what He replaces and changes of His rulings.

10:52 The polytheists said.

10:54 You are only a liar, O Muhammad.

10:57 Fabricating lies against Allah.

11:00 But most of these people do not know the reality of its truth.

11:06 “Say: The holy Spirit hath delivered it from thy Lord with truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and as guidance and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).” (16:102)

11:11 To strengthen those who believe.

11:18 And as guidance and good tidings for the Muslims.

11:25 Say, O Muhammad, to those who say to you.

11:28 You are only a fabricator.

11:30 It was brought by Gabriel from my Lord with the truth.

11:34 Its abrogating and its abrogated parts.

11:36 As a confirmation for the believers and a strengthening of their faith.

11:40 And as guidance for them away from misguidance.

11:43 And good tidings for the Muslims who have submitted to the command of Allah.

11:47 And yielded to His command and prohibition.

11:51 “And We know well that they say: Only a man teacheth him. The speech of him at whom they falsely hint is outlandish, and this is clear Arabic speech.” (16:103)

12:10 And We certainly know that these polytheists say.

12:15 Muhammad is only taught this which he recites.

12:18 By a human being from the children of Adam.

12:21 “And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly.” (3:78)

12:23 Indeed, the tongue of the one you point to as teaching Muhammad is foreign.

12:29 And that is because, as mentioned.

12:32 They used to claim that the one who teaches Muhammad this Qur'an is a Roman slave.

12:39 And this Qur'an is in a clear Arabic tongue.

12:44 “Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom.” (16:104)

12:53 “Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Allah guideth them not and theirs will be a painful doom.” (16:104)

13:00 Indeed, those who do not believe in the proofs and evidences of Allah.

13:04 Allah does not grant them success in attaining the truth.

13:07 Nor does He guide them to the path of righteousness in the world.

13:11 And for them in the Hereafter is a painful, agonizing punishment.

13:16 “Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah's revelations, and (only) they are the liars.” (16:105)

13:25 And those are the liars.

13:32 Only those who do not believe in the proofs and signs of Allah fabricate lies.

13:38 Because they do not hope for a reward nor fear a punishment.

13:43 And those who do not believe in the verses of Allah are the ones who lie against the believers.

13:50 “Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.” (16:106)

14:55 Except for one who is forced to disbelieve.

14:58 And utters the word of disbelief with his tongue.

15:01 While his heart is firm in faith.

15:04 Certain of its reality.

15:06 His resolve is sound upon it.

15:08 “Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.” (16:106)

15:11 So he chose it and preferred it over faith.

15:14 Then upon them is the wrath of Allah.

15:17 And a great punishment is due for them.

15:20 Because they chose the adornment of the life of this world.

15:23 Over the bliss of the Hereafter.

15:26 And because Allah does not grant success to a people who deny His verses.

15:30 While they persist in denying them.

15:35 Those are the ones upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal.

15:41 And their hearing and their vision.

15:44 And those are the heedless.

15:50 “Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers.” (16:109)

15:58 These polytheists.

16:00 Are the people upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal.

16:04 So He has stamped them with His seal.

16:07 So they do not believe and are not guided.

16:10 And He has deafened their hearing so they do not hear the caller of Allah to guidance.

16:15 And He has blinded their vision so they do not see with them the proofs of Allah.

16:19 A vision of one who considers and takes heed.

16:22 And these are the ones who are neglectful of what Allah has prepared for their likes among the people of disbelief.

16:28 And of what is intended for them.

16:30 There is no doubt that in the Hereafter they are the losers.

16:34 Who have cheated themselves out of their shares of the honor of Allah the Exalted.

16:39 “Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.” (16:110)

16:51 “Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.” (16:110)

17:02 Then indeed, your Lord, O Muhammad, for those who emigrated from their homes to the homes of the people of Islam.

17:09 After the polytheists had persecuted them.

17:12 Then they fought the polytheists after that with their hands by the sword.

17:17 And with their tongues by disavowing them.

17:20 And were patient in their struggle.

17:23 Indeed, your Lord, after this deed of theirs, is forgiving of what they had done.

17:29 Merciful to them, that He would punish them while they have turned back to Allah and repented.
