In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08
It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14
Surah Al-A'raf
0:17
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:23
And to Ad, their brother Hooda
0:27
He said, “O my people, worship God, you have no god other than Him.”
0:34
Don't you fear?
0:39
We sent their brother Huda to Ad
0:42
Hood said
0:44
O my people, worship God, so devote worship to Him alone
0:48
For you have no god other than Him
0:51
Do you not fear your Lord and warn Him?
0:55
And you fear His punishment by worshiping others
0:59
The leaders of his people who disbelieved said
1:03
We see you in foolishness
1:07
In foolishness
1:09
Indeed, we think that you are among the liars
1:17
The leaders who denied the monotheism of God said
1:21
We see you, O Hood, in error from the truth
1:25
By leaving our religion
1:27
Indeed, we think that you are among the liars in what you say
1:30
I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds
1:35
He said, “O my people, I am not foolish.”
1:38
But I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds
1:45
He said, “O my people, I am not straying from the truth.”
1:49
But I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds who sent me
1:53
I convey to you the messages of my Lord
1:56
I will perform it to you as He commanded me to perform it
2:02
I convey to you the messages of my Lord and I am a faithful advisor to you
2:10
I bring this to you, people
2:13
I advise you in my matter
2:16
So accept my advice, for I am trustworthy to God’s revelation
2:21
I will not lie about it, or add anything or change it
2:25
Or do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord?
2:32
On a man among you to warn you
2:38
And remember when He appointed you as caliphs from some of Noah’s people
2:45
And He increased you in creation through His abundance
2:48
So remember the favors of God that you may succeed
2:57
Or do you wonder that God sent down His revelation?
3:00
By reminding you of the misguidance you are in
3:04
On a man among you to warn you of God’s punishment
3:08
And remember the torment that befell Noah’s people
3:11
For your Lord has only made you successors on earth from among themselves
3:16
When I destroy them, I will replace them with you
3:20
He increased your bodies in length and bone compared to the bodies of Noah’s people
3:25
So remember His blessings and grace upon you
3:29
And thank God for that by sincerely worshiping Him
3:33
So that you may succeed and realize eternity in blessings in the afterlife
3:37
And you will succeed in your requests before Him
3:41
They said, “You have come to us to worship God alone.”
3:45
He vowed what our fathers worshiped
3:51
He vowed what our fathers worshiped
3:55
Then bring us what will bring us back if you are of the truthful ones
4:03
Adel said
4:04
You have come to us to worship God alone
4:07
We abandon the worship of gods and idols
4:10
Which our fathers worshiped
4:13
We disavow it
4:16
We are not the doers of that
4:18
Nor do we follow you in what you call us to
4:22
Bring us what you will bring back from punishment
4:25
If you are honest in what you say and promise
4:30
He said: Abomination and anger have fallen upon you from your Lord
4:38
Are you arguing with me about names that you have named?
4:47
You and your fathers named it
4:53
God has not sent down any authority for it
4:58
So wait, for I am with you among those waiting
5:07
Hood said to his people
5:10
Torment and wrath from God have befallen you
5:13
Do you and your fathers quarrel with me over names that you have called idols that do no harm or benefit?
5:22
God has not given you any argument to support it in your worship
5:28
So wait for God’s judgment in us and in you
5:31
I am with you waiting for his ruling and the final judgment of us and you
5:38
So We saved him and those with him by Our mercy, and We cut off the traces of those who denied Our signs and were not believers
6:01
So We saved Hud and those with him on faith by our mercy
6:06
And We destroyed those of the people of Hood who disbelieved with our arguments, all the last of them, but we did not leave any of them alive.
6:15
They did not believe in God or His Messenger Hud
6:21
And to Thamud, their brother Salih
6:25
He said, “O my people, worship God, you have no god other than Him.”
6:32
Clear proof has come to you from your Lord
6:39
This is God's camel as a sign for you
6:44
So leave it and eat it on God’s earth
6:48
And do not harm it, lest a painful punishment overtake you
6:59
We sent their brother Salih to Thamud
7:03
Saleh told Thamud
7:05
O my people, worship God alone, He has no partner
7:09
You have no god whom you may worship other than Him
7:13
You have received an argument and proof of the truth of what I say
7:18
I am clear on what I am saying
7:21
This is the camel that God brought from this plateau
7:26
God’s camel should not be touched by a camel or a camel
7:30
A painful torment will overtake you
7:34
And remember when He appointed you as successors from some of Aad
7:40
And your refuge is in the land, and you make palaces from its plains
7:50
And you make the mountains into houses
7:53
So remember the blessings of God and do not spread corruption on earth
8:02
And remember, O people, the blessings of God upon you
8:06
When He caused you to leave behind a land in the land after its destruction
8:10
And He sent you down into the land and made for you dwelling places and spouses therein
8:16
You make palaces from its plains and make homes in the mountains
8:22
It was mentioned that they were excavating the rock for housing
8:26
So remember the blessing that God has bestowed upon you
8:31
And do not walk on the earth spreading corruption
8:35
The leaders of his people who were arrogant said to those who were weak to those of them who believed, “Do you know what?”
8:46
Do you know that Salih is sent by his Lord?
8:53
They said, “We are believers in what we were sent with.”
8:59
Those who were arrogant said, “Indeed, we disbelieve in that in which you believe.”
9:10
The group of those who were arrogant among the people said, “Salih is for the poor people among those who believe in him.”
9:17
Do you know that Salih was sent by his Lord? God sent him to us and to you
9:25
Those who believe said, “There is a righteous person among the weak among them.”
9:29
We are true to what God sent
9:33
Believing that it is from God
9:37
Those who are arrogant said that the command of God and the command of His Messenger is good
9:42
O people, we believe in what you believed of Saleh’s prophecy
9:47
Denying strivers whom we do not believe or acknowledge
9:53
So they barred the she-camel and disobeyed the command of their Lord and said, “O Saleh!”
10:01
And they said, O Saleh, give us what you promise us if you are one of the messengers
10:11
So Thamud slaughtered the she-camel that God had made for them as a sign
10:16
And they are forced to follow God
10:18
They said, “O Saleh, we have come with what you promise us of God’s punishment and vengeance.”
10:24
If you are God's messenger to us
10:27
This is their hastening of torment
10:40
So I took those who slaughtered the camel from Thamud
10:44
The cry that shook them and moved them to destruction
10:48
So they became in their land where they perished
10:52
They fell down, unable to move
10:55
Because there are no souls in them, they have perished
11:00
So he turned away from them and said, “O my people, I have conveyed to you the message of my Lord and given you sincere advice.”
11:10
I advised you, but you do not like advisers
11:19
So Salih turned away from them when they rushed him to torment and slaughtered God’s she-camel
11:25
out of their land
11:27
And he said to his people
11:29
I have fulfilled to you what my Lord commanded me to do regarding His commands and prohibitions
11:35
I advised you in carrying out God’s message to you
11:39
But you do not like those who advise you in God
11:43
To forbid you from following your desires
11:59
We sent Lot when he told his people
12:03
Are you committing indecency?
12:06
No one in the world has ever committed this immoral act before you
12:11
Their indecency was male intercourse
12:15
You come to men with desire rather than women
12:25
O people, you come to men in their backs out of your desire for that
12:32
Without the women that God has permitted for you
12:36
You are a people who do what God has forbidden to you
12:41
And you disobey him with your actions
12:44
And yet you come with men of lust rather than women
12:49
And yet you come with men of lust rather than women
12:54
And you disobey him by doing this
12:59
The only answer from his people was that they said, “Expel them from your village.”
13:08
They are people who purify themselves
13:15
And what was the response of the people of Lot to Lot?
13:18
But they said to each other
13:21
They brought out Lot and his family
13:24
Lot and those who followed him are people who differ from what we do
13:29
From the coming of men in the afterlife
13:42
When Lot's people refused his Lord's message prohibiting that from them
13:47
We saved Lot and his family who believed in him
13:51
Except for his wife, she was among those remaining in God’s punishment
14:09
And We rained down stones of shale on Lot's people
14:14
We destroyed them with it
14:16
So look, O Muhammad, at the outcome of those who denied God and His Messenger
14:21
So they committed sins against God, no matter what they were or what they happened to be
14:52
Don't deprive people of their things
15:00
And do not cause corruption in the land after it has been restored
15:05
That is better for you if you are believers
15:15
We sent their brother Shuaib to Midian, urging them to obey God
15:20
Shuaib said to them
15:22
O my people, Abdullah is alone and has no partner
15:26
You have no god who requires you to worship other than the God who created you
15:33
A sign and proof from God has come to you regarding the truth of what I say
15:38
Fulfill people's rights with the measure you use
15:43
And by the weight with which you weigh
15:46
Do not oppress people in their rights and do not deprive them of them
15:51
And do not commit sins on God’s earth
15:55
After God restored the earth by sending the Prophet, peace be upon him, among you
16:00
He forbids you from what is not lawful for you and what God hates for you
16:05
This is what I commanded you to do
16:08
It is better for you in the immediate life of this world and the future of your hereafter
16:12
If you believe in what I tell you
16:16
And I will convey to you from God His commands and prohibitions
16:20
And do not sit on every path that you are threatened with and that hinders you from the path of God
16:32
Whoever believes in him, and you seek to make it crooked
16:39
And remember, when you were few, He multiplied you
16:44
And look at what was the outcome of the corruptors
16:53
And do not sit in every way threatening the believers with death
16:58
You turn away from believing in God and acting in obedience to Him, whoever believes in God alone
17:05
And you seek for those who follow the path of God to deviate from purpose and truth to deviation and misguidance
17:12
And remember, when you were few, He multiplied you
17:16
So thank God who blessed you with this
17:20
And look at what was revealed to the nations before you
17:24
When they rebelled against their Lord and disobeyed His messengers out of vengeance
17:29
And if there is a group of you who believe in what I was sent with
17:41
And a group did not believe, so be patient until God judges between us
17:52
He is the best of rulers
17:57
And if there is a group of you or a group, they will believe in what I was sent with
18:04
From sincere worship to God and abandoning His sins
18:07
Another group did not believe in that and did not follow me in it
18:13
So wait for God’s judgment that separates us from you
18:18
God is the best of those who decide and the most just of those who judge
18:22
Because there is no inclination toward anyone or favoritism toward anyone in his ruling
18:31
